Have a look at the diagram showing my router/modem setup here:I'm not sure the proper terminology or how to say this but I would like Router A to broadcast 1 IP and and Router B to broadcast another. For "business" reasons I need my "normal" IP on router A and for "pleasure" reasons, I want to have different DNS on router b.I'm in canada and I'm using a DNS service to make it appear like I'm from the US.

I have a modem and router in my bedroom connected to a computer. I recently bought a TV that has wireless netflix. The TV seems to not connect to netflix because of the signal strength. The internet and all the other applications work just not netflix. The TV in the room adjacent the router works fine, Im guess because its much closer. I thought I was a genius when I bought a second modem and router to place next to the TV however it wont connect because it seems to know that I'm trying to connect a second modem. Is there anyway for there to be two modems?

the dvd player says its connected to the internet when I go through the wireless settings but it still says there is a connectivity issue. It was previously showing 0.0.0.0 for all IP address information etc. I read the last post on this forum considering the issue and guessed at what I should input in under manual. The data etaf requested from the other guy is shown below.
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Andrew-PC
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid

My internet/gaming/netflix has been slowing down lately, some parts of the day there are no problems, other parts (4-10pm) its impossible. I live with one roommate, I have my own router and he has his own router. Mine is a Netgear router, not sure what his is. Ourinternet, with no problems is: 65ping, 4.8 mbps, and .60 upload. When its busy: 180ping, .30 mbps, and .09 upload. I constantly get kicked off xbox live and its super frustrating. The thing is, when my roommate is gone I am able to stream netflix in HD without any problems. However, when he's using netflix the quality of mine drops to the lowest signal and most times disconnects me from xbox live. I'm not sure if this is an ISP issue or a router issue

I have a 655 and two TVs. One is connected to my network by a Samsung 5700 Blu Ray player, and the other is connected by x box. The x box is 20 ft away from my router and the Blue Ray is about 60 away with one wall between. The x box pulls movies down and plays them no problem, and Blue Ray takes about a minute for loading the moving, will start playing but them pauses several times throughtout the movie showing the loading sign on screen.

I am about to buy a NMP (WD Live Hub) to put my local video/music/pic content on and drive many TVs in my house. These NMP also have services like Hulu, NetFlix, etc. I plan to sign-up for NetFlix and do the unlimited streaming thing via the WD Hub. I have a 5Mbps broadband pipe which is right at the suggested level for HD streams.....but I think the DIR-655 can prioritize streams/video ?
plan to put the Hub on Static (Reserved) IP address on my network....however, I've never messed with a Router and prioritization. I assume it is something to do with the port(s) used, etc. I have no idea the ports that will be used by the Hub for NetFlix, how/where in the DIR-655 I can accomplish this how to ID the ports used would be great....eg. some variant of Netstat command, etc ?

I have a NAS (DLink) connected to my router, and my samsung smart TV. I currently use a Boxee Box for the family in another room, and it works great. However, I now want to be able to watch the movies (.mkv's) stored on my NAS, on my smart TV in my room. I want to be able to do so without leaving my PC on. The TV uses a Samsung 'dongle' to connect to my WiFi.

I am using a Netgear N300 wireless router to stream Netflix movies to a Samsung Blu-ray player with wireless LAN. My problem is that some of the movies are not watchable because of rebuffering. About every two or three minutes into a film it rebuffs. Is this because of my equipment, my set-up, or is it just the nature of the beast?

I have a wireless network in my home, mainly for internet access via any of the 3 or 4 machines we may be using. Normally, there's not a problem with normal surfing, email checking, youtube, etc.My wireless router is a Linksys WRT300N, and the wireless adapter card in my desktop is a D-Link AirPlus G DWL-G510 Wireless PCI Adapter. In my previous home, the router was in the very same room as my desktop, and had no problems to speak of with this setup streaming Netflix. Now, however, I'm set up in an older home, and the router is removed from my desktop by a few walls and tight rooms. I've noticed that my network status icon on the bottom right of my desktop seems to always show "Signal Strength: Very Low".I like to use my desktop sometimes to stream Netflix. My Netflix streaming sometimes goes OK, but typically it just freezes and shows the Loading bar, and sometimes doesn't really start back. It is so bad sometimes, that I am not willing to wait it out, because I know from this experience that even if it starts back up, it will just freeze again. The video is not downloading and caching fast enough.

Have an E1000 router, Samsung Blu Ray (for Netflix). At night watching Netflix is not possible with all the rebuffering and drop in picture quality. So we took the wireless laptop and set it next to the Blu Ray and started the same movie on both. The laptop played without a problem and the Blu-Ray kept rebuffering. I will probably try to hard wire the DVD but to make it permanent, will be a real pain. Having wireless would be much better.

What I want to do is be able to control my PC from my TV screen. I mean I want to be able to stream a live ball game or movie I have on my PC hard drive & see it on my TV. I heard about Roku & thought that is what I wanted or Blueray with DLNA. But Roku just pulls streams from subscriber sites like Netflix & Hulu. DLNA will allow you to view video you have on your HDD but will not let you stream live feeds like watching a live event that is streaming on your PC. Is there any hardware out there that will allow me to have whats on my PC screen on my TV screen via wifi (or other means)?
