View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone use an external hard drive connected to their e4200 router to stream movies over DLNA? If so what format of videos are you using and what program and settings are you using to convert the movies from DVD or blu-ray to video files?
I have been using handbrake to convert both blu-ray and DVD movies to MP4 videos with AAC audio and I have been getting strange results. If I convert a blu-ray movie to MP4 with a DTS audio track down mixed to Dolby Pro Logic II AAC then I can play the movie and I am able to fast forward and rewind. If I convert the same movie but convert the audio in any other way, AC3 pass through etc., the video will play but I will not be able to fast forward or rewind.
I've got a E3000 router and I'd like to be able to stream movies and access files from the USB connected HD on my router to my galaxy tablet.I understand that this can be done. I've poked around and cannot find anything that's worked for me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen we stream movies in two different rooms at the same time we drop our netflix or vudu connections. Can I enable or disable any settings on my router that would work. I love this router have 35 Mbps on internet speed so I don't think that is the problem. Range runs from 35 up to 45 Mbps all the time. I know how to access my router settings and navigate where to go and what to change if I can. I have 3 laptops, 1 wireless printer, two blue-ray devices attached.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to stream movies and music to my Panasonic TV. I have a USB hard drive connected to the EA4500.
The TV sees the media on the device and music plays fine. However, every movie I've tried shows up with an exclamation point and when I try to play it I get a message to the effect that "unable to open media". Is the EA4500 media server only compatible with certain movies?
I am sharing media from my Linksys E3000 router and would like to use subtitles (in separate files) for movies. It is working when I am using Samsung PC based AllShare server but not while using E3000 UPnP server. On the other hand I found some info on the web that Twonky should support subtitles. But maybe different version then embedded into E3000.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Dlink wireless router. Previously I had a Belkin router. The new one was said to have stronger signal. I am not able to connect via wireless to the router from a PC with Windows Vista. It works fine when I use a cable. Then I am able to connect to Internet via the router. Also, I am able to print on a wireless printer. It is also possible to use Internet from an Ipad with wifi.
The Belkin router had a different network, 192.168.2....When the cable is connected I can ping 192.168.0.1 but not when I remove the cable. In Windows Vista the connection has status "connected". When the cable is connected, the ipconfig /all is printed as below. It is a Swedish version. Some translated words:
Trdls = Wireless
Ja = Yes
Nej = No
Frnkopplad = Disconnected

View 19 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new D-Link DIR 615 but I dont get adequate range in the rooms farthest away from the router. I have an old D-Link DIR 634M router which I'm told can be used as a wireless repeater. I went through several articles that describe connecting the two routers through a LAN cable. However is there a way to do the same without using a cable of any sorts?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using DIR-600 wireless router since an year. But, after having a factory reset i'm having a strange issue. When i'm configuring the router in the Dlink page(192.168.0.1 now i changed it to 192.168.1.100).. In that i go to Manual Internet Configuration>> then i select Static IP(Since i've been provided a static IP,gateway, DNS settings by my ISP) As soon as enter IP: 192.168.1.2,, and Subnet 255.255.255.0,,,Gateway : 192.168.1.1 and enter DNS details and press SAVE.. I get a message " Invalid IP Address".. I've set the Router IP as 192.168.1.100 and DHCP range : 3 to 199I don't know why is this happening.. I'm not able to connect to internet now from the router.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys wireless router model WRT54G (not sure the exact model, it's not in front of me right now). It has worked flawlessly for the past several years, but for some reason has recently stopped working. I confirmed it's not a problem with the DSL Modem, as I can hard wire connect to my laptop and the internet works fine. It's clear something is wrong with the wireless router. I've tried unplugging, hitting the reset button on the back, and nothing has worked. My computer is able to recognize/locate the router and connect, it's just that I can't connect to the internet. One thing I've noticed under the wireless connection is that the computer is able to "send" packets, but not "receive." My experience is that this is always the case when I experience connection problems, but I have no idea what that means. I was going to call the Help Line, but I see it costs $30 which is likely more than my router is worth and probably 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of a new one so I am trying to troubleshoot myself.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a WRTG 54 version 2 wireless router to the Linsksys E2500. The reason for the change is to send a stronger wireless signal strength further in my house. Setup was easy to my laptop and XBox 360 but my Samsung Internet TV is another story. I can get my tv to get the wireless signal but when I click on an app nothing but error messages. Often times it will say to check my dns settings but I am not that tech savvy and don't know what to do.
