View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone use an external hard drive connected to their e4200 router to stream movies over DLNA? If so what format of videos are you using and what program and settings are you using to convert the movies from DVD or blu-ray to video files?
I have been using handbrake to convert both blu-ray and DVD movies to MP4 videos with AAC audio and I have been getting strange results. If I convert a blu-ray movie to MP4 with a DTS audio track down mixed to Dolby Pro Logic II AAC then I can play the movie and I am able to fast forward and rewind. If I convert the same movie but convert the audio in any other way, AC3 pass through etc., the video will play but I will not be able to fast forward or rewind.
I've got a E3000 router and I'd like to be able to stream movies and access files from the USB connected HD on my router to my galaxy tablet.I understand that this can be done. I've poked around and cannot find anything that's worked for me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen we stream movies in two different rooms at the same time we drop our netflix or vudu connections. Can I enable or disable any settings on my router that would work. I love this router have 35 Mbps on internet speed so I don't think that is the problem. Range runs from 35 up to 45 Mbps all the time. I know how to access my router settings and navigate where to go and what to change if I can. I have 3 laptops, 1 wireless printer, two blue-ray devices attached.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to stream movies and music to my Panasonic TV. I have a USB hard drive connected to the EA4500.
The TV sees the media on the device and music plays fine. However, every movie I've tried shows up with an exclamation point and when I try to play it I get a message to the effect that "unable to open media". Is the EA4500 media server only compatible with certain movies?
I am sharing media from my Linksys E3000 router and would like to use subtitles (in separate files) for movies. It is working when I am using Samsung PC based AllShare server but not while using E3000 UPnP server. On the other hand I found some info on the web that Twonky should support subtitles. But maybe different version then embedded into E3000.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys wireless router model WRT54G (not sure the exact model, it's not in front of me right now). It has worked flawlessly for the past several years, but for some reason has recently stopped working. I confirmed it's not a problem with the DSL Modem, as I can hard wire connect to my laptop and the internet works fine. It's clear something is wrong with the wireless router. I've tried unplugging, hitting the reset button on the back, and nothing has worked. My computer is able to recognize/locate the router and connect, it's just that I can't connect to the internet. One thing I've noticed under the wireless connection is that the computer is able to "send" packets, but not "receive." My experience is that this is always the case when I experience connection problems, but I have no idea what that means. I was going to call the Help Line, but I see it costs $30 which is likely more than my router is worth and probably 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of a new one so I am trying to troubleshoot myself.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a WRTG 54 version 2 wireless router to the Linsksys E2500. The reason for the change is to send a stronger wireless signal strength further in my house. Setup was easy to my laptop and XBox 360 but my Samsung Internet TV is another story. I can get my tv to get the wireless signal but when I click on an app nothing but error messages. Often times it will say to check my dns settings but I am not that tech savvy and don't know what to do.

The x box is 20 ft away from my router and the Blue Ray is about 60 away with one wall between. The x box pulls movies down and plays them no problem, and Blue Ray takes about a minute for loading the moving, will start playing but them pauses several times throughtout the movie showing the loading sign on screen.

My internet worked for like 4-5 days then suddenly stopped while I was watching some random movies on youtube then I keep getting this error :"Local area connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration, I could go see the university support, but the problem is they don't work during the weekend and that's the second time I have this problem within a week. View 10 Replies View RelatedI am having several issues with this router we have from TBayTel. We recently had digital cable installed along with the router ComTrend CT-5374 Multi-DSL CPE. It is both wired and wireless combination. We have it set for dial-up connection. The AV I currently use is AVAST Free. What is the usual port forwarding methods used for this type of router as I am unable to do any special downloads of music and movies anymore. I had contacted TBayTel and they said that they would give me a static address I could use. [code]
View 6 Replies View RelatedAt random times, my internet will "drop" connection and will not download any packets, but I am still able to send packets. My Local Area Connection icon continues to say I am connected, my modem is fully functional, and my cables are good. I can get my internet back up and running for 10 minutes or so by disable and re-enabling my Network Connection. If I simply try the "repair", it gives me an error at the "Refreshing IP" step.I have done a full system scan for viruses and I am clean. My drivers are fully updated, I have disabled my firewalls, and still no luck. During the times when it is down, I can successfully ping my modem through CMD, but I get the time-out error if I ping a site, my default gateway, the DHCP Server, or the DMS Servers.I have made no changes to any major settings on my computer, nor has there been any recent additions/removals of any software.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an old White BT router (from the UK)
Also a 60m ethernet cable. It won't send a signal far enough to be picked up by an ethernet port on another computer at that distance via cable.
However, a modern Zyxel Router will chuck it through that length of cable OK
way to get the BT router (v1 or 1.5) to do this ?
