i want to activate flexible netflow on my WS-X45-SUP7-E with IOS cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.02.00.SG.150-2.SG. I've started with a simple configuration like this:

We are planning for the first installation of 4500 switches containing these supervisor modules. I'm trying to determine the interface numbering convention for ports on the supervisors. Our existing 4500E all have SUP6 modules with twin-gig converters - so I am familiar with the numbering conventions used on those supervisors. How does this change with the software based selection command "hw-module uplink select" used in SUP7?

I am trying to configure netflow/flexible netflow on some branch site 887 routers which have a IPSec tunnel back to the main office. It is my understanding that the router will not encrypt traffic that it generates itself so the standard netflow will not work. The workaround I have seen is to use flexible netflow rather than standard.
I have tried to configure flexible netflow with the following configuration;

I am working with a Catalyst 4503-E with a Sup7-E. I'm trying to enable Netflow, and I have read the following guides: Catalyst 4500 Series Switch SW Configuration Guide, Release IOS ...
I have also enabled Netflow in IOS 12.1/12.2 and figured the process was similar (It seems to be). CEF is enabled, and I have all the pre-reqs according to the document above, however, the flow commands don't exist, they simply say "command unrecognized". I have included my sh version below.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe just replaced a floor swithc, and ended up going with an IOS-XE software, LMS does not seem to like this software, the device is not available in my Identity dashboard, it's abviously running dot1x.
LMS shows it as software version 03.02.01.SG, same as you get when you do a show version, license level is enterprise services.

Also, the IOS upgrade option does not work for this device, it give an error saying to perform an inventory collection, which I have manually performed, the device is reachable and manageable by LMS, and it does not show up in any of the IOS version reports.

Concern 1: if the 3com switch with 802.1X feature, but still without the full feature to support FlexAuth, policy encforcement, DACL etc. In this kind of situation, will user still able to authenticate (using method PEAP-MSCHAP v2), but authorization just grant with permit any any?

And the 4500 is licensed for enterprise Services. I don't have access to the switch and am looking for configuration documentation and I am not finding the necessary configuration guides.
How to know 4500 SUP7-E's MIB ?Our customer use MS SCOM 2012 SP1 get the OID are 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1286, but we use IOS MIB locator, we can not find this MIB id.

After installation and configurations, HP openview is detecting a "downed" interface on the 4500 chassis that is not in the configuration. I have attached an image with the interface circled. We assumed that it may be a configuration issue with openview, however after running diagnostics with a network analyzer, the same ip address for the down interface is still detected. Is this some sort of internal virtual interface on the SUP7?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to configure LLDP-MED between a Cat45010+E Sup7 (IOS 15.1) and Polycom CX600 Lync phones. I have created and applied the correct network policy for the interfaces.
From these sites, I need to send all the correct TLVs or the phones won't respond: {URL}.
When a scour the config of the switch, I can't find any related configuration commands relating to the specific LLDP-MED TLV components which are enabled/disabled. Where are they hiding? I would like to confirm which TLVs are being sent by my switch and if they are matched to the phone. I can always use the DHCP method, put this is not preferred.
I am facing this issue with my LMS setup. the rmedbengine is not getting started. The CW was down due to low memory space . After restart the RMEDBEngine is not coming up(Made some free space avaiable in the drive) . I have done transaction log recovery. Wher i find the issue saying " database cannot be started - no error " for rme database. Attached the error SC.

I downloaded Cisco Network Assistant v 5.7(1) but when I do a network scan it just says every single device is Unsupported.I have a new 3750G-24PS sat here that I bought just before Christmas and I would like to configure it.
We are running LMS 4.3.2, it was running OK... but now we receive the following message:
"User Tracking Major Acquisition cannot be started as Network Topology, Layer 2 Services and User Tracking are disabled."
All processes are running. System restart and re-install the 4.3.2 update does not fix it. I think this happens after a device update, maybe FaultManagementDeviceUpdate...
I have an issue where I am trying to start my VPN and continually get the following message: Error 56: The Cisco Systems, Inc. VPN Service has not been started. Please start this service and try again.
So I have been into Services to 'start' Cisco Systems, Inc. VPN Services - this then always comes up with this error: Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
The solution mentioned on other posts on disabling the ICS but it was already disabled. When I try to start VPNGUI I also get error 56 and when I try to use services.msc to start the service I get error 1053. Then also when I try to start from task manager services(cvpnnd) i get access denied.

I have been using a linksys 5 port workgroup switch in my room. I have the ethernet cable coming from the router into the uplink port and my PS3, xbox, dvr, and pc in the other ports. It has been working fine until today I started messing around the the cables. I had trouble with the ps3 connecting to the internet so I used my laptop with wifi disabled to test out a few of the cables and ports. Now all of a sudden the switch kills the internet connection. If I remove the cable running to my room from the main router, the other PCs and wireless will connect, but as soon I plug myself up it goes dead. I now have the ethernet cable in my room hooked directly to the PC bypassing the switch and everything works fine now.
