View 2 RepliesI will be configuring port forwarding to a phone system on the network for remote management. I would like to have the ASA send an email alert when a connection has been made to the open port. Is this possible to do and if so how to configure it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan I configure the 2504 to send email notifications for particular alerts? how?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFrom the WAP4410N admin pages or console you can enable e-mail alerts. You have to set the essential TO address and mail server address. Where can I put the FROM address ? From what I can see it uses the hostname value as from address. The hostname in my case is ap02. Then you could try setting a mail address in the hostname field, but thats not allowed.
[Code]....
Is there any way to change the subject line of the email alerts that are sent? Right now mine are coming with the MAC address, date and time. I would like to remove the MAC address and date and time so that I can sort them into one folder when I sort my email by subject.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOne interace is setup as the management interface on a 1 subnet (which is our main network/domain).
Second interace is setup on a 2 subnet (eventually this will be configured to receive incoming/outgoingmail)
I copied most of the settings from our old firewall for testing purposes. I can ping our old email firewall which on 2 subnet from our main subnet (1) successfully.
The only way I can get a successful ping with the Ironprot is to have the management interface hooked into our main network. We don't want this. We do have Ironport firewall and Webfilter setup similar and working fine.Is there someway I can configure this unit to allow both subnets to talk successfully to each other without having the managment interface connected all the time?
I have a question about NAT behavior on FWSM 4.0. The problem is email server (Company A) cannot connect to email gateway (Company B) on the outside network and it randomly happen. I got this error from server guy "Detail: xlate has blocked the connection between A’s mail gateway and B’s mail gateway". It work fine again after clear xlate on firewall. [code]
1. How FWSM create xlate table like that? I mean it look like NAT0 for 158.137.21.26 but it doesn't has any nat rule for 158.137.21.26 on firewall.
2. What does it mean "connections 24" at the first of line? In the normal time, I only see the connections is 0 like the second line of xlate
3. After clear xlate global 158.137.21.26, the first line of xlate table is gone then email server can connect each other. Does is a bug on FWSM? or This is a normal NAT behavior of FWSM.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been getting alerts on unused serial ports on my routers as being operational down. How can I stop these alerts?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSometimes we have unidentified traps in our log, we don't know where they come from.
In high severity faults we see an active alert with device name “Unidentified” event name unresponsive but with a certain ip address.
What are these alerts about? Can I filter them?,A second issue I have is that I get interface down alerts. But when we log on to the device, there is no interface down at all. We can also ping the device from the lms server at that time. I have been told that the admin state and operational state has to be up.
Under high severity Alerts Its showing following Error
An exception occurred. Please check the AAD.log file for further details.
AAD log shows This

On a Cisco ASA 8.4 code is it possible to receive an alert once a certain number of tcp/udp connections is reached? I'd like to see if I can get an email alert or syslog if the ASA reaches say 2,000 connections for example. Once I get an alert I could then investigate the cause of so many connections.

The credentials LMS is using is a username and password with priviledge 15: the account is established in TACACS+. I can log into the devices directly with this user account. However, I cannot TFTP from the routers to the LMS either (I get a permission denied message in the router).
LMS did manage to fetch some configs, but 90% of my devices are having this issue.

I am running CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1 since 6 months and I wanted to generate today a report about the interface utilization on 2 Cisco switches (Catalyst 3750G). The corresponding job is created, it runs and then i get "succeeded with info" in the "Run Status" column. When I want to click then on the "View Report" link, I get the following error: "Could not generate the report. Either data is not available for the specified duration or the report job failed."
I tried the same procedure with 2 other switches but I have got the same result.
A while back we were looking into upgrading our SUN/Oracle server to better service our CiscoWorks. Our vendor (partnered Cisco Vendor) told us that Cisco was developing an appliance like WCS and CNR that runs Redhat for CiscoWorks.Does any one have any info on this or could this be a rumor?
We do not run Windows devices on any of our network enterprise and this would be so cool!
Oracle is getting to be a clone of Windows..in our opinion
If this is true, I will happy to sit and wait for it.
We now run LMS 4.0 on a SUN/Oracle T2000 and it seems to be bottlenecking.
How to get Ciscoworks LMS 4.0.1 serial number ? I need that to put the product under mainrtenance, and I can't manage to get it.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Ciscoworks LMS3.2 with RME 4.3.1. to upgrade many, many Cat3750x stacks we have laying around. The problem I am having is that Ciscoworks downloads the new image to the Stack’s master switch only and not to all switches. When I reload the stack after the download, any switch could become the master. I already set up the priority to always have the same master, but the process is unreliable and more than once I ended up with another switch as a master. In any case if the master is not the switch with the new image, the stack will keep the old image as their running image and the switch with the newer image has problems joining the stack (after a while it downgrades and become stable)I know how to do it manually, but I was hoping Ciscoworks would be able to do this for me. It would make my life much easier.

I'm trying to get user authentication backed off to ACS 5.1, I've got it working but not the way I'd like. This is using the TACACS settings not ACS mode.I've created a local user in CW and assigned it to the correct roles, then created a user in ACS with the same name and a different password and this works fine.My question is can I set the roles on the TACACS server using a shell profile/custom attributes. All the documentation I can find is for ACS v4?

The syslog collector status appears to be normal.....
I'm using CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1 and I need to activate a remote syslog collector.Installation occur without errors and the test subscription is fine but syslog reports are always empty! These two servers need to communicate through a firewall.I'm not able to define a correct rule, a "permit ip any any" does not work also!
