Cisco :: How To Configure HQ Router To Allow Tunnels From Any IP Address

Nov 5, 2012

My current set up is 1 HQ router (2911 ISR) and 8 site offices with a non-Cisco router. Each site has an IPSEC tunnel back to the HQ router. All of the site routers have a dynamic external IP address. This set up has worked ok for now, but I would like to look at moving to GRE tunnels so traffic from the sites can be routed to each over.I have read up on the configuration and I can set up an IPSEC GRE Tunnel in test labs using a static IP address on the spokes however I have not been able to find any documentation on how to configure the HQ router to allow the tunnels from any IP address.I did try setting the tunnel destination to 0.0.0.0 on the HQ side but this does not work.

Cisco VPN :: ASA 5505 - Configure Allowed Bandwidth On IPSec Tunnels?

Oct 25, 2011

ASA 5505 8.2.1
ASA 5520 8.4

We currently have a tunnel configured between 2 ASAs

1-  Is it possible to assign 1.5 Mbits of Bandwidth(BW) to this tunnel?. Then if Tunnel number 2 is configured I could assign 2 Mbits to that one for example?

I am not referring to prioritizing certain type of traffic over the IPsec tunnel, I am referring to Tunnel 1 has 1.5 Mbits of BW guaranteed for all traffic that goes thru it. Same for tunnel 2

Then

2- How to monitor the amount of BW in an IPsec tunnel?

Cisco VPN :: WRVS4400N - ASA Cannot Create Multiple Tunnels To Same Peer Address?

Jun 23, 2012

We have several remote sites with Linksys WRVS4400N and Smoothwall firewall/vpn devices.  I need these sites to be able to connect to multiple dis-contiguous subnets at our main office.  This was easily done with smoothwall and linksys.  You create a separate tunnel for each subnet and voila, you're done.  However, when I tried this with our newly installed ASA, it will not let me create multiple tunnels to the same remote peer address.  This is a problem since these sites only have a single static public IP address.  Am i missing something or does the ASA not allow connections to/from multiple subnets form a site with a single peer address?

I addressed the computer to 192.168.1.1 (as this was my ip that time I remember and on the box its written too) but it didn't respond, then I remember that I have changed this ip to something else and now I can't remember this.

Cisco Firewall :: How To Configure ASA 5505 With Different IP Address

Mar 25, 2013

I have a test ASA 5505 at home. The DHCP IP address in my real home firewall is 192.168.1.x and as you are aware the default ip address in ASA is the same. how to configure the ASA.

In the link below there is an instruction, it seems it is working for everybody except me. I followed the instruction up and the only change was assigning the IP address, which I chose something other than 192.168.1.x But after the step of creating NAT, I do not have access to the internet. [URL] Also I followed the link below, but the revision of the ASDM in the instruction does not match with mine, so I was not lucky to figure the device.[URL]

1- How can I configure the ASA 5505 with an IP address different than 192.168.1.x (at home = no incoming static IP address = DHCP on subnet 192.168.1.x for the incoming internet) I have installed ASDM 6.3 on my laptop (From work) but when I connect to the ASA it wants to install ASDM 5.7.I tried to connect to the device through ASDM 6.3 and input the IP address 192.168.1.1It takes for ever and it does not connect to the device

2- How can I connect to the device by ASDM 6.3 or any ASDM with higher version than the original of the device?

Linksys Wireless Router :: Passing IPv6IP And GRE Tunnels Through E4200 Or EA4500?

Aug 1, 2012

I'm thinking about changing my home router (have WAG300N now) and my big concern are GRE and ipv6ip tunnels. Righ now I experience that every few days WAG300N stops passing GRE traffic from inside of my network therefore my ipv6ip tunnel goes down. The only way to sove that is to completly reload WAG300N router.

passing ipv6ip and GRE tunnels through E4200 or EA4500? I see no passthrough in configuration option for those routers. Also performance question - I have 64Mbit symmetric internet connection. I guess both routers would easily handle that with SPI turned on and NAT?
