View 6 Replies View RelatedIhave a 3560 w/multicast support and I'm trying to configure a simple environment. I have 2 ports configured, one for the multicast server and the other for the client. Each are on their own subnet, so I have an ip route between the two. My run config on both ports is:
ip multicast-routing distributed
interface fastethernet 0/3 & 0/4
ip pim version 2
ip pim sparse-dense-mode
I'm using vlc server /client configured to use 224.0.0.1 on my isolated network. I can see the mulitcast traffic going into the port, and I the client is sending reports, but I think the 3560 is dropping the packets, since I don't see them coming in the client port. Need to configure a simple multicast environment using 2 ports on a Cisco 3560.
We are planning to run BGP on our pair of 3560G switch, I would like to know how many bgp routes it can support? it currently running on advance IP service.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAny replacement fan for the WS-C3750G-48TS-S switch that runs quieter than the one originally built into this router? I've searched a number of web sites and found plenty of replacement fans available but none of them show noise level specifications.
particular manufacturer/model combination that works in this router that will drop the noise level down while maintaining air flow. This switch is in a short network rack in an small office that also includes people. The current noise level isn't defining like some servers, but is loud enough to be distracting.
We have an aging 2611 router that that we need to replace due to the fact that its 10Mb/s Ethernet ports are limiting our internet connectivity throughput (we have a 20Mb/s circuit).
The purpose of the 2611 router was to route traffic from multiple devices connected to a 2950 switch's VLAN X to the internet. Can we achieve this same functionality with only a 3750C-48TS-S switch? Could a static route statement on the 3750 replace the need for the router?
I have a stack composed by:
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------* 1 52 WS-C3750G-48TS 12.2(35)SE5 C3750-IPBASE-M 2 52 WS-C3750-48TS 12.2(35)SE5 C3750-IPBASE-M
All works well, except for the client connected to the gigaethernet ports that do not works at 1000, I am sure that the clients are able to do it. I have done a check on one of 48 port:
SW3750_100_ced_rk0#sh int gigabitEthernet 1/0/24 capabilitiesGigabitEthernet1/0/24 Model: WS-C3750G-48TS Type: 10/100/1000BaseTX Speed: 10,100,1000,auto Duplex: half, full, auto Trunk encap. type: 802.1Q,ISL Trunk mode: on,off, desirable, nonegotiate Channel: yes Broadcast suppression: percentage(0-100) Flowcontrol: rx-(off,on,desired),tx-(none) Fast Start: yes QoS scheduling: rx-(not configurable on per port basis),tx-(4q2t) CoS rewrite: yes ToS rewrite: yes UDLD: yes Inline power: no SPAN: source/destination PortSecure: yes Dot1x: yes
Seems all ok but if I try to disable auto config about speed and duplex, and force it manually to 1000 full, I lost the client when i done it I forced the speed and the duplex to 1000 full on the client too.
Can I upgrade my 3750 48TS-S to the EMI software or does it need to be a 48TS-E?

I have a switch WS-C3560G-48TS.The version of IOS is:
WS-C3560G-48TS 12.2(58)SE2 C3560-IPSERVICESK9-M
The command "track number rtr" is missing. There are just three options there:
#track 10 ?
interface Select an interface to track
ip IP protocol
list Group objects in a list
Why is that so and where is rtr?I have the same switch with the following ios version:
WS-C3560G-24TS 12.2(50)SE1 C3560-IPSERVICESK9-M
rtr is present in there.
I have a network running some 20 switches, two controllers and many AP's. All the devices that should be able to connect to cisco network assistant can successfully. However there is one switch that will show in neighbours but will give the message of “unable to connect to device” when I try and add it to the topology.
As far as I can see the config is identically to all other similar switches in the network. I can telnet from a switch (management VLAN) to the switch in question. However when I try to ping or telnet from the PC running network assistant (different subnet) I am unsuccessful. However I can ping/telnet to all other cisco device from this PC. The switch is a WS-C3560-48TS and I have included the config for firstly the switch in question and another switch of the same model and config that works correctly.

I have a strange problem with one switch in my LMS 3.2.1 installation. It is a WS-C3560-48TS with IOS 12.2(50)SE3 running. I have nine switches with the same type and IOS running without problems.
I notice the problem because there were no UT data for that switch. In RME and CS it was managed.Checking SNMP and config of the switch, but can't find any issues.Because at this time LMS ran in version 3.2 I installed at first CM 5.2.1 and after that the patches for CSCtd49439 and CSCtg20882.Next step was RME 4.3.1 with a lot of patches for different issues. Then I installed the patch for the internal error of CS (CSCtd07131).And finally I installed LMS 3.2.1 and patch for CSCto46927.Last step was installing the latest device packages. I did this directly from the application because it is much better handling than do a manual download. No the system seems to be fully updated.
I had the hope that CM will now find and manage this one switch. But it is still not available.I can't find the device in the data collection. But I can find it in the "Include Devices From DCR", although I configured to fetch all devices from DCR automatically to CM. To manually include the device is not working, too.
P.S. I used that step-by-step update path because it worked on two other servers very well for me.
My old switch software version is c3750-ipbase-mz.122-35.SE5 and model number is WS-C3750-48TS-S and my new switch Software version is c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin and model number is WS-C3750V2 . I want a compatible (prefer same) version of IOS which works on both the switches as both the switch will be in a stack..
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy customer uses WS-C3560G-48TS-E switches in air traffic control systems. A requirement for one project is that the entire system be up and running in under five minutes. The WS-C3560G-48TS-E and its replacement - WS-C3560X-48T-E with C3KX-NM-1G - take about four minutes to start up. With other devices added in they exceed their required startup time. They also use WS-C3560V2-48TS-E switches which take about two minutes to start up but they want they GE.
1) Is there way to improve the start up time in the WS-C3560G-48TS-E and WS-C3560X-48T-E switches?
2) Is there another Catalyst switch with similar specifications to WS-C3560G-48TS-E and WS-C3560X-48T-E that has a quicker start up time.
I have two Switches which i need to put in a same stack - WS-C3750E-48TD and WS-C3750G-48TS . Possible to do so and also which IOS to put in both the switches as WS-C3750G-48TS is having lower RAM and flash.Whether can i put following IOS in these switches and connect them in a stack as i have read that IOS -- 15.0.1. SE are compatible with both the switches.
a . c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.bin in switch - WS-C3750E-48TD
b. c3750-ipbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.bin in switch -- WS-C3750G-48TS
Is that possible add WS-C3750-48TS-E to ws-c3750e-48td stack?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSituation: Currently WS-C3750G-48TS-(S or E) switches are on stack. Now these units will soon EOL on Jan. 30, 2013 and Cisco recommends that
WS-C3750X-48T-S or WS-C3750X-48T-E will be used.
The question is: Will the new SKU works together in a stack with the old ones? Will there be no changes on the type of stacking cable to be used?
I've got two two 3560s switchs, (WS-C3560G-48TS-S) that I'm trying to connect to each other using the GB ports over Fibre. We purchased the following GBICs, SFP 1000SX Transceiver and when we put them in the port it shows (err-disabled). View 3 Replies View RelatedNeed to confirm if WS-C3750-48TS-S supports Private vlans and IPV6?
Also need to know which stack cable like part number i can use for stacking them .
Our network administrator restricts all our new 1Gb switches to only 100Mb, to which he claims it will increase overall performance. Preventing devices from bottlenecking the network. (that is, only restricting the main switch ports, not the uplinks)For example we have a new building with 2x WS-C2960S-48TS-L connected together with FlexJack and then a 1Gb Fiber connection back to our core switch.
This building is on it's own subnet and there is little broadcast traffic. I don't see the point other than it hinders the potential speed we could use. Labs are set up in this building and 1Gb is MUCH faster when it comes to imaging and software deployment.
I would like to know if Catalyst WS-C3750G-48TS-E recognizes and understand Cisco VSS ( Virtual Switching System) . Is there a List available which tells us which Old Catalyst Switches or current switches understand Cisco VSS?
