In a lab environment, I have a stack of two 3750v2-48ts switches. I upgraded the stack from 15.0(1)SE2 to 15.0(1)SE3 using archive download-sw.
Switch 1 in the stack reloaded and came back with the new image.
Switch 2 appears to be dead. No console out put. When power is applied, the SYST LED blinks 22 times, then stops. I've held in the mode button for up to 60 seconds, held in mode while applying power, removed the stack cables and repeated...there's not a whole lot else I can think of to do at this point.
I would like to confirm if Cisco 3750 and 3750v2 can work in a stack? My Cisco 3750 is working on 12.2(37)se while 3750v2 is working on 12.2(50r)se.
I tried to configure the above on a same stack but seem to have compatibility issue and fail to work.
I've been reading the documentation for the new 3750v2 switch, and I'm wondering is the IPBase license supports FULL OSPF. The product sheet notes that it supports OSPF in the IPBase license, but then further down the page it notes that for advanced routing functions (EIGRP,OSPF) you need the IPServices license. Are there any limitations to the OSPF process on a 3750v2 with the IPBase license?

The problem is that clients cannot receive an IP address. When I disable DHCP snooping it is working properly. DHCP snooping is configured correctly but I don't have an idea how to resolve it. [code]I tested the solution on the same kind of hardware switch and firmware and it worked out fine. What is causing the clients not to receive an IP address from the DHCP server?

The IOS on the stacked switches is 'c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin'.I loaded this IOS on to the new Cisco 3750V2 and deleted its original IOS. Boot up failed with error 'hardware not supported by firmware'. I am now trying to follow the recovery procedure but the I can only initialise the flash (flash_init) and there is no 'boot_helper' command to load the boot helper files. There is no option to rum 'copy xmodem' so I cannot upload the original IOS image via xmodem on hyperterminal.

to route traffic to the port connected to the mode,The switch gets the assigned Ip address from the modem but it does not route internet traffic.
From the different vlans and subnets on the switch, I can ping the modem.
From the switch I can ping 8.8.8.8
From the machines, i cannot ping 8.8.8.8
On my machines, what should be the gateway? the vlan SVI, the modem's IP address, The fa0/48 ip address? I have tried them all with no success.

The default configuration mode is X2. As I want to deploy Gigabit interfaces (that is, use TwinGig Convertors), then I configured the associated port-group:

I noted that the Swicth set up automatically 'switchport mode trunk', so i put the command 'swicthport mode access' because i want to connect only a PC. But the status is the same, I can not achieve connectivity. i just want to know how connect a PC in the interface GigabitEthernet1/4 of the supervisor engine of my Switch.
I am with Virgin media and have a home lab (2611 routers, 3550 switches, 2950s etc) which i usually just use for testing things on and practicing.
Now I tried to connect it to the internet and got some weird things happening.
I got NAT and DHCP client all setup correctly on the router (or so I think!) along with DNS settings but I still can't get Internet access.
My network is all setup right so that through using OSPF the router is the gateway (0.0.0.0 route) for all devices. Doing a traceroute confirms this.
Yet I never get any further than the router? I see IP nat translations ticking up as I send more requests but never get a webpage or a reply from any of the machines in my network.
HOWEVER... The router itself does get some replies from Google.co.uk and bbc.co.uk but doesn't seem to want to give anything else on the "inside" a response?

We have two dedicated racks for our DMZ. We need to connect them to a firewall. We do all the cabling inside the rack, so each of them must have a top of rack.Problem is, switch in rack 2 will be connected to rack 1 and then to firewall, so if switch 1 fail, we lose both of them.
I would love to stack them like 3750 but I don't think there is stack-wise cable long enough to connect two racks (and I suppose this length isn't supported by technology).We have only one port left in the FW.

I have configured the ATM interface for the Telstra DSL connection through the onboard DSL interface. I have also configured Fast Ethernet port 0 as a vlan2 port, which is configured for use with the Optus Cable internet (this is connected through an Optus Netgear CG3000 router). The Nethgear has DHCP enabled (192.168.0.xxx range), as does my Cisco 877 (10.0.0.xxx range).Firstly, the Telstra Business DSL is due to be connected tomorrow between 9am and 1pm, so it is not physically connected as yet.From my laptop connected to fa3 and using Console connection, I can ping all of the 192.168.0.xxx addresses that exist, as well as my own laptop and a VoIP phone I have connected to fa2 (laptop is 10.0.0.100, VoIP phone is 10.0.0.101 both DHCP assigned, not MAC Reserved either).I can use internet explorer on my laptop to connect to the Netgear router, but no other internet pages. I purchased an old cisco 831 for practical studies for a cisco certification. I purchased the console cable (serial/rj45) and a usb->serial converter cable. However when I open my terminal application (tera term) After I select the right com port (3) and make sure the connection settings are right. It will just sit idle and not show any data from the device. Was I sold a faulty device? It lights up and has three lights on.
Everytime I look at a manual or cisco video I am given the impression the terminal application will just automatically connect. But whenever I try I get nothing.
