I have a computer connected to a Switch3750G and another computer connected to another Switch3750G. Theses switches are connected through a Optical Fiber link in the uplinks of the boths Switchs 3750. The computers are connected in the access ports, this ports works at 1Gbps. My question is Which is the maximum transfer rate that should reach between these two computers.

I have monitored throughput with MRTG, but it doesn't seem that high compared to that the 3750G is supposed to handle 17.8 Mpps.
The 3750G's are stacked, running ospf, qos, multicast (IPTV) and etherchannel.Is the maximum throughput reduced by stacking or any of the other features?
I don't know if one can estimate what the maximum throughput is per ASIC or per port, but on one of the ASICs that is having drops the peak unicast load is 1.3 Mpps and multicast Mpps is 0.9 Mpps. Total ~2.2 Mpps.
This doesn't seem high at all and I don't understand why the drops are appearing. What I can do to find out the reason for these drops?
Has any come across show ver memory details on 3750G-48PS as below, One of our Catalyst 3750G running software 12.2(44)SE2 shows unexpected DRAM as below:
cisco WS-C3750G-48PS (PowerPC405) processor (revision F0) with 0K/12280K bytes of memory. This would equate to around 11MB memory which does not seem right... Is it a known IOS bug?

Each WAP shows connected at 1GB but when I am sitting within a couple feet of the WAP and attempt to transfer a 972MB file it takes around 9 minutes to complete. speeding this up? All 4 AP's are setup as a cluster as well.

I'm in the process of setting up the HD and transferring all the media to the drive wirelessly however I'm only experiencing about 1.5MB/s-4MB/s. Is there a way to speed this up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a small home office with three computers, two new comps with win7 64 and an old comp running Vista32. Up until last week, the two 7's accessed files on the vista machine via a public folder, and everything was peachy, speed-wise. Trashed the vista this week and replaced it with a new desktop running win7 64. I backed up the old comp's files on the new comp, set up the new win7 home network, and everything went to hell. Both of the 'old' win7 machines can access files on the new, but the speeds are unbearable. It takes, literally, over 10 minutes for Accubid to load (accessing files on the new desktop), whereas it was pretty much immediate before. Quickbooks freezes for a minute and a half before it finally connects. A 60mb PDF file takes two minutes to copy. It even hiccups when I save a freakin' Word document. After some research I found that window's new home sharing network kinda sucks, so I turned it off on all machines and mapped network drives. Nothing.turn off remote differential compression, so I turned it off on all machines. Nothing. I disabled flow control on all machines. Nothing.The weirdest thing I did - I disabled auto-tuning and restarted all computers. I then opened Accubid and it opened immediately! I restarted the program 6 or 7 times, and each time it came up within seconds. I was ecstatic. Then my boss came in 5 minutes later and I opened Accubid to show him I finally fixed it. It took 10 minutes to load again, and I haven't been able to repeat whatever I had done since.

Network is wired. Again, access to internet is blazing. Access to the computer 6 feet away from me is not.

I have a home network running on a Linksys WAG320n and i have attached to it a WD MyBookLive (w Gigabit Ethernet). I am connected on the network via my Dell with a Intel(R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN. I am not able though to connect on N range. I have installed the latest drivers from Intel but nothing changed. When i try to copy a file from my computer to the WD Network drive the transfer rates are very slow. I get Max 2MB/s - 3MB/s while if i connect my computer with a wire the speed goes up by 3-4 times more.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a 4Mbps DSL internet connection with 3 PCs connected through a router. 2 are connected wirelessly and the other is wired via an ethernet cable. i noticed that when downloading a file from an international server, the transfer rate on the wireless PCs is 2-3 times slower than on the wired PC. the wireless PC would get about 150-200kb/s, whereas the wired PC can max out to 450kb/s on a single download. however when i download from a local or nearby server instead, the transfer rate on the wireless and wired PCs are the same and can both reach up to 450kb/s per download. i don't understand why the wireless connection is slower to international servers compared to the wired PC.my wireless signal is at 54Mbps with "excellent" strength. i also tested the ping results from both the wireless and wired PCs to international servers and they are pretty much the same.

I have two clients with the same cards (Intel 4965agn, latest driver) and I got transfer rates at 144 Mbps with both radios working (2.4 and 5GHZ on the E4200). When I try to use 5Ghz only it drops to 54 Mbps and for 2.4Ghz it drops for 130 Mbps. Could I reach better transfers rate with a Intel 4965agn card (300 or 450 Mbps)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got Two Distribution Switches of Cisco 3750G. Each Distribution have two 3750G switches stacked. I also have one Cisco 3750V2 Access Switch connected to both Distribution. When I am checking for redundancy, I can only get redundancy test pass for one link not atall for other. If I have a link up with Distribution 1 only then its fine; but disappointment with Distribution 2 link. I can see that the switch priorities of Dist 2 is not correct ie. Master's priority is 10 and Member's is 15.
My question is that due to misconfigured priorities on Distribution 2 stack switches I am failing with redundancy if ONLY Dist 2 is up and Dist 1 is down.
It is said that the switching fabric of WS-C3750X-24T-E is 160Gbps.Could any body tell me what is switching fabric, any relevance or difference from forwarding rate?,Is there any document to know how will the switch reach the 160Gbps full switching fabric performance?

I've configure my test pc with a static ip and my gateway pointing to 10.1.2.10 (VLAN 2 gateway) , i'm not able to route to 10.1.2.1.
I have a couple of 3750G-24T-E switches running IOS 12.2 I would like to upgrade to IOS 15.x. Is this possible? Where do I find some information on the required licenses and costs? View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a requirement to do Inter-VRF routing (need MP-BGP) using a private AS Number on a stack of 7 x 3750G's, my question ultimately is the performance overhead of doing such a change.
The stack will have no more than 300-400 routes even with the duplicates invoked from doing VRF leaking so I can't see much of an issue myself, we already have 2 VRF's and OSPF running in each VRF just don't have MP-BGP to do the VRF leaking.
Ultimately there will be about 4-5 VRF's (I know there's a Software limit of 26 VRF's on a 3750G).

3750G 12S - 12.2.53(SE2 IP Services) Running EIGRP & OSPF
with
3x 3750X 48P-S - 12.2.53(SE2 IP Base License)
Doing some research, the IP Base does EIGRP on the 3750X, does it do OSPF?
If not I will have to get licence for the 3750X?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just received a new Cisco 3750G Switch from my parent company. When attempting to install the switch, I discovered that it will not boot to CLI, only to the bootloader. After using the command boot, the switch attempts to boot the most current IOS version, but fails, stating "error loading XXXXXXXXXX.bin".
Obviously, I just need to get a functional version of the IOS onto the switch to boot, but the problem is exactly how can I do that? All (or most) the commands with which I am familiar are unavailable in the bootloader, so all methods known to me fail. Is there a simple way (maybe using the copy command?) to put the .tar or .bin file onto the flash?
I am trying to create an ACL that walls off a VLAN and only allows it to the internet. This is on a 3750G, currently the 3750G I am attempting this on is in a stack. I have another 3750G that is a standalone.
The first way I attempted this was to create two access-lists: access-list 101 permit tcp 10.249.1.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 80 access-list 102 permit tcp any 10.249.1.0 0.0.0.255 established
Let's call the 10.249.1.0 VLAN 2. I applied this to the VLAN2 interface, 101 out, 102 in. It didn't work. If I place a deny statement with nothing else, that works.
The second attempt was this: access-list 101 deny ip 10.249.1.0 0.0.0.255 any access-list 101 permit ip any any
I applied this to a VLAN I wanted to block VLAN2's traffic from reaching, let's call that one VLAN 3.
This lets all traffic from any VLAN (including the one I'm trying to block). If I remove the "permit ip any any", then all VLANs are denied. Which I understand is correct due to the implied deny all. What I don't understand is why it isn't applying the ACL to the specific VLAN.
I have a 3750G that used to be a Stack Master of a stack comprised of 2 identical switches. Since then, we have removed the stack from production, and I factory defaulted the stack MEMBER and that went fine. I just held the "Mode" button on the front until the lights all lit up and then issued the reload command and the switch came back with no configuration OTHER than the vlan database I issued the "del vlan.dat" command to no avail. I just manually removed all the vlans.
The stack MASTER on the other hand will NOT go back to factory defaults, and will also NOT erase the vlan database. Everything I try will NOT work. I've tried the following
1) Hold mode button & issue a reload after the lights start flashing
2) issue "Write Erase" then issue "reload"
3) issue "Write Erase", then issue "Write", then issue "reload"
4) issue "erase start" then issue "reload" (just in case the "write erase" command is being depriciated or something weird)
5) issue "erase start" then issue "copy run start" then issue "reload"
Is there a special way to reset a StackMaster back to factory defaults?
I have one 3750X with C3KX-NM-10GT, I need to interconnect using stackwise to 3750G-24TS. The 3750X needs IOS 15.0(1) to use C3KX-NM-10GT, and the latest IOS for 3750G-24TS is 12.2.55. How can I interconnect them using diferent IOS?

I tried the recommended test; looping a cable between the ports and rebooting. I get the following message as the switch boots: SM: Detected stack cables at PORT1 PORT2. However, if I connnect another switch, it won't detect it and can't form a stack.
