I am in the process of updating the software on a Catalyst 3500 series switch. I deleted the old bin file and copied over the new file via xmodem.the image I used is:
c3500xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC17.bin
Once the xmodem copy is complete I performed the following sequence of steps:

The last output is where I am stuck. What am I missing?
I have a C3750E-24TD-S on which I just loaded new firmware. When I boot up I see this:Loading "c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE2.bin"...c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE2.bin: no such device
Every time I delete the directory flash and reinstall it, I get an error:
Error loading "flash:c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-12c.EA1.bin" Error loading "flash:c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-12c.EA1.bin" Interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process.
That is the message I get. It's set to NO manual boot, but it keeps making me manually boot it. I am at a loss, I've done 3 switches and they all keep doing the same thing.
A new Cisco 3750V2 (WS-C3750V2-48PS-S) running IOS 'c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin' waspurchased to add to a stack of 3 Cisco 3750 (WS- C3750- 48PS-S) switches. The IOS on the stacked switches is 'c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin'.I loaded this IOS on to the new Cisco 3750V2 and deleted its original IOS. Boot up failed with error 'hardware not supported by firmware'. I am now trying to follow the recovery procedure but the I can only initialise the flash (flash_init) and there is no 'boot_helper' command to load the boot helper files. There is no option to rum 'copy xmodem' so I cannot upload the original IOS image via xmodem on hyperterminal.
latest OS release for this Model number: WS-C3524-XL-EN switch. I currently am running Version 12.0(5)WC17
The reason is, I'm having some issues installing some HP PC's connected to this switch. The nic card on the HP flaps up and down, disconnects/ reconnects continuously. The only way I get it to stop is to bring down the speed on NIC or the switch port to 10mbs.
If I add a nic card and disable the system board nic all is well.The HP rep says that Cisco has a patch for this unit. Any recent patch or what the latest OS is for this switch?
On cisco and am having some issues with intervlan routing. I have followed the vids and manuals but just can seem to get this working. I have the following network lab set up.

The router 1841 is connected directly to the layer switch. the network diagram is below:
Office A --> Switch (L3) --> Router 1841 --> Internet --> Office B
However, when I transfer the file from Office A to office B, the speed very slow ( only around 40 kb/second), and there are an input error and CRC error:

I purchased several 1921 routers and the last two I setup get the following error during bootup:

The router moves on and eventually comes up fine and is operational. What this error is an if I can get rid of it?

I unpacked a new 3560x and went to put our standard code version on it c3560e-ipbasek9-mz.122-53.SE2. Everything seemed to upgraded fine but it won't boot to a console prompt. It seems like it loads the IOS image fine but can't get passed the Front-end Microcode IMG MGR: Programming device 0. [code]
I cannot boot IOS, when i reload this switch it go to ROMMON. I try to uploand IOS but it still has problem. i think i may wrong some point during i did uploand.
I tried to upgrade IOS from SXI2a to SXI9 in cat 6506 VSS. But the problem is that switch always boot with old IOS. my Catalyst 3750 switch. Following a power cut the switch no longer boots up. The SYST light flashed green but no POST checks are made. I cannot see any boot messages from the console port either. The switch was on a UPS but some thing may have damaged the switch.
What would happen if I installed a 32MB (MEM870-32F=) flash upgrade card in to a Cisco 871 router that already had 28MB flash on-board already? Would the router boot seeing 52MB (the max this router can have) or would it fail completely since the combined total would be over 52MB?
I know you can get a 24MB upgrade card but they are quite expensive.
i want to boot my Router's IOS from TFTP server but when I use the command: boot system tftp c2801-adventerprisek9_ivs-mz.124-24.T7.bin 172.16.10. 200; after that I write-mem, it shows the log:

And when I reload the router, it cannot boot IOS from TFTP Server, sure my TFTP work well and 2801 can ping to TFTP.

I have a WLSE Express 1030 which is not booting. The error is "GRUB loading, please wait... Error 17". The error is a mount error for the partition. I don't have a recovery disk and I am not authorised to download the disk.
I recently received these routers and after the first reboot I changed the user id and password so it does not lock out...After configuring my routers for installation, upon bootup I am getting this message scroll down my screen

But when this happen, I can start the IOS manually doing flash_init and boot in ROMMON. After do this commands, the access-point starts and works normally.
How can I check and correct the memory and solve this issue?
I can see the boot file at 192.168.100.1 but I can never get into the GUI. The unit boots up, fans running. Eventually the power light flashes red. I don't have the unit hooked up to anything else except a laptop to try and configure it.

I have a 4503-E on my work bench. It's been out of production for a year or so. I started working on it last week. I think I may have cause a boot up problem. It comes up to ROMMON, but then I need to type "boot" to get it to come up all the way.

It looks like there is nothing between boot-start and boot-end.
i have a Cisco 6513 it is used one, i have tryed to boot it but it did not work, it alwayes go to rommon mode and i am not able to know what is the issue,

One of the 6500 was going in bootrom mode, so I have formated the flash disk using the other Cisco 6500 switch and copied IOS file to the boot disk. But the 6500 booting failed.
Customer is using SUP720 with SP rommon image version 8.1(3), he is trying to boot the new ios image from disk0, but he gets invalid magic error. he fomat the disk0 but still he gets error when he boots from disk0. He suspect that it can't be flash problem but can be software of hardware as he has two flash with same issue on 2 switches.
Customer wanted to recreate, I tried in the lab, i was able to load from disk0, but sup in lab had 8.5(4).
Customer wanted me try with 8.1(3) version. But i was unable to downgrade the SP Rommon image. SP rommon is running in Gold region and I loaded the 8.1(3) from both disk0 and sup-bootdisk, even preferrence was given to region1 but still sup came up with gold region itself.
* Will i be able to downgrade from 8.5(4) to 8.1(3), if so, what are the steps.
* is there any limitation or bug where 8.1(3) will be unable to read disk0.
I have a cisco 6503 - e series switch which runs c6sup22-psv-mz.121-26.E4.bin. Both superviser engine and MSFC2 card run the same IOS image i guess. In my boot flash their is another image c6msfc2-jsv-mz.121-4.E1. o what is the difference between these images c6msfc2-jsv-mz.121-4.E1 and c6msfc-boot-mz.121-4.E1.
I'm having difficult getting this switch to boot from flash. I do not understand why it is trying to load "b1" from "bs1" instead of something from flash. [code]
I encountered an issue while trying to boot Catalys WS-C4948-S switch. I power on the switch and I'm able to see the boot messages thourgh serial console cable. But it gets stuck at line "Image text-base: 0x1000000, data-base: ..... ". Also I can enter into rommon mode. I tried to use different kinds of IOS images, tried to boot from tftp but with no luck, the issue is the same.
There are no erros on the screen, it just gets stuck when it enters into IOS, so I don't see the IOS prompt.
I have been looking at grading the IOS version on our 6509-E however there is not enough space on disk:0 to upgrade to the version I need to install. The question I would like to ask is - is it possible to boot the IOS from a TFTP server? If this is possible what configuration do I need on the 6509 to enable this. How does the 6509 know about the TFTP server as an IOS is not installed and therefore it will not have a network configuration
