View 1 RepliesI am looking for an IP Services IOS image for a WS-C3750E-24TD-E switch.Currently have a two switch stack composed of WS-C3750E-24TD-E & WS-C3750G-12S-E.Current IOS running: IP Base.
I need to be able to remove the stub mode for EIGRP, so I am looking for an IP Services image for WS-C3750E-24TD-E switch to be able to run full EIGRP. But I am not able to find one. What is the main difference between WS-C3750G & WS-C3750E switch?Is this even possible for the WS-C3750E?
I'm thinking of connecting a branch office to the main office with just using multilayer switch. The sites will be connected using ethernet leased line, so I'm thinking of connecting it directly to the switch.
We're running eigrp on our network so the Multilayer switch will do the eigrp routing.Thinking of using C3750E-24TD-E (IP Services) as the multilayer switch. Can this work or do I still need a router to terminate the WAN?
I am facing a problem with my LMS 3.2 server. Suddenly I found there is no device reflecing in common services-> device management as well as RME also. I restarted LMS services, server multiple time, reseted casuser, demoted the server from ACS mode to local mode but no luck. However in "dcrcli" i can see all devices and exported all devices to CSV file.
After this I restored from a backup 3 month old when devices were reflecting under common server and RME device management. this also not resolved the problem.
I uninstalled LMS, performed system cleaning and reinstalled LMS 3.2. Then I imported the devices from CSV file i had. Now also the problem not got resolved . I can see devices in dcrcli but none of the device is reflecting under device management of any module.
In Dcmaservice.log i found the error" ERROR,[main],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.config.netshow.server.admin.NSCommandSetManager,getAllCommandSet,8661,Invalid MDF data file:D:/CSCOpx/lib/classpath/com/cisco/nm/cwcs/mdf/mdfdata.xml"
Hence I restored teh mdfdata.xml file from another server. However now i can see the following errors
1) in common service -> software center -> device updae -> device count are 0 for all module
2) no device is reflecting under any module
3) one progress i saw when tring to add any device if selecting device type, it is showing me the list of device type along with OID. before restoring mdfdata.xml it was also not comming.
I use the Edit Identity option to change the "Display Name" from an IP to a station name, it is overwritten when a discovery has been done. I have checked the discovery settings and tried using the update DCR Display name setting to prevent this from happening, but it makes no difference.Is there something i am missing? This is on LMS 3.2?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe recently moved to a new office and currently have three ISPs(DSL, SAT, 4G) because we are unable to get Cable nor Fiber services. We have anywhere between 7-20 Remote Desktop connections(with lot of file transfers) and 8 VOIP lines. Basically, we need to bind certain services to specific WAN links in order to make everything work somewhat decent because of the limited bandwidth and/or latency of each ISP.
I would like to double check if the bindings are working for the specific services, and it has been difficult to verify if the settings in the RV016 are working. I believe it's not working 100%, and I need a way to check and make sure that my settings are being followed.
What would be the best way to check the current connections to see if the service is being routed via the WAN link specified in my setting? My RV016 is HW ver 3, but not the latest firmware. Purchased about 2 months ago.
If I am not able to start remote desktop services on windows 7 machine, will machine can be accessible by RDP?

When PC with OS Windows 7 begins to work in corporate network, it sees "coflict ip addresses" and doesn't work with network. I've used wireshark and seen, when the PC send arp request a SW1 always send arp reply (see attached file). I think problem with command "ip sla responder", but I haven't searched information about it and I want understand this is bug or normal functioning.

PC1 ----------- ASA ------------ PC2--------- 3560e ----------- 3825 -------------------- WAN --------------------- Router ------------- Server
My ASA runs SMR, has an igmp forward interface outside command on the inside and has a trunk port to the 3560e (V lans 32 & 48).PC2 is a test pc on the 3560e on vlan32. 3825 is my ISPs router on vlan32.
- if i try to access the stream from PC2 it works.
- if i try to access the stream from PC1, i see the igmp join leave my ASA onto the 3560E (i've captured on the 3560e's link to the ASA).
I've also captured on the ASA and i can see the igmp packet leave the outside interface but the join doesn't reach the 3825 (i've captured on the 3560e port facing the router and there is no join being forwarded).the switch is running in layer 2, 12.2(35r)SE1.

We have a scheduled office move where we are consolidating 2 remote offices into one. I’ve been asked to spec out the correct size UPS to support all of the network equipment for this new office.I went to the Cisco website and I see on the datasheet for the switches and router where they talk about the wattages and BTU’s but how can I go about deciphering from that information what my total wattage and BTU will be for each switch and router?What numbers should I be looking at? For instance, we have 3 3750 48 port PoE switches. So if I look at the datasheet for that switch they have 4 different columns, one for 100% throughput power consumption, one for 5% throughput, another one for 100% throughput for max PoE load and one for 5% throughput with 50% PoE loads?Is there a common method for deremining UPS requipments? For the switches I pretty sure I need to assume max PoE load in the event every port has a phone plugged into each port.

That said, I am unable to obtain a global unicast address but the link-local address is able to communication with the ISP's gateway/DHCP provider which I hope will allow v6 dhcprelay provide internal clients with IP's from the ISP. Trouble is, unsolicated inbound ICMPv6 messages from the ISP's gateway are being dropped on the way into outside interface.

What are the limitations of the mapping of VLANs on this device? Is it limited by number or by interface? Does the configuration of an interface has spread all interfaces ?
I'm trying to track down the installation and configuration procedures for the common criteria EAL4 evaluated ASA5510 but not having any joy.
The ASA Release 8.3.2 certification report [URL] identifies the required configuration documentation as the "Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA) Firewall and Virtual Private Network (VPN) Platform Common Criteria Operational User Guidance and Preparative Procedures" but I can not find any reference to this on the Cisco web site.
So far I've only been able to locate the proceedures for the older 7.0 release. [URL]

7x stack WS-C3750E-48TD-E orignal code 12.2.35...i wanted to get it to 15.0.1 so as a test i disconnected top switch (not the master ) and installed via archive download-sw /allow upgrade 15.0.1.tar. and it worked away fine...
so i moved onto the stack, issued the same command, image loaded rebooted and stack hung..Consoled in and switch was unable to boot..looping on trying to load flash. [code]
I was called into look at a customers's site that was upgraded by another vendor. They were complaining about packet loss and performance issues. I discovered they had changed from static routing and turned on EIGRP (100) and the EIGRP neighbors are not on a common subnet, they used secondary IP addressing to connect two 4506 switches to the core router. Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't this cause the neighbors to bounce and cause the degraded network performance? Don't we need to have a single common subnet for this to work? Either that or they have bridged the VLANs somehow? There is also a cable connecting the 4506 switches besides the uplink to the core router.
