I have configured remote access VPN with radius authentication in my firewall ( ASA 5510). When tried to connect the VPN with Cisco vpn client, the following error is showing,
"Error: Secure VPN connection terminated by Peer. Reason 433 (Reason not specified by peer)".
I got a WLC4404 running software version 5.1.151.0 with 40 LWAPPs (mostly 1242AG). We got new Dell Latitude E6500 Laptops with Intel 5100 NICs. After upgrading the bios to the latest version and installing the latest wlan driver, wireless is working the most time.After about 4 reboots I see the following message in the WLCs logfile: "Thu Sep 18 13:53:10 2008 AAA Authentication Failure for UserName:host/hostname.domain.name User Type: WLAN USER".After I disable the wlan-card, it's working again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got a toshiba satellite laptop running win xp.. at first when i connected it had internet..but after adding avg antivirus it began showing limited or no connectivity. ran antivirus ... cleaned up system..changed the ip addresses and now it says connected.. but i cannot go to google or any other online page. it says there is no response from default gateway or dns server... not sure what else to do . I tried rolling back system to before i did anything and still the same.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm trying to fix gateway laptop running Vista. The computer can connect both wired and wirelessly to the internet just fine. Sadly that's all it does. It doesn't let you use IE/Firefox/Skype or video games or anything. Every program acts like you're not connected. All signs seem to point towards it working just fine. I'm at a loss and can't figure out what's wrong with it.
Also, the internet works just fine if you start in safe mode with networking. You can use IE/Firefox just fine. I've tried turning off proxies and such but there aren't any as far as I can tell.
I have tried all firmware and go into router settings and it shows it's sending a wireless signal to Xbox. I have it connected via Cat5 cable.

But if I go (in the router) to the Lan Computers list under Device Info, three devices (2 wired, 1 wireless) do not appear. I do have a switch added to the system, but of the three devices connected to it, 1 shows in th Lan Computers list and the other 2 do not.Since everything works, I'm mostly just curious why this is. Every previous router I've had showed everything correctly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a WAP54g set up as a repeater. It even shows in the WRT54g device list (Tomato firmware) as a WDS interface but nothing can connect to it. I have the repeater's MAC address in the AP and it's set to "Access Point + WDS" mode. I don't know what I could be doing wrong. Is it a conflict of DHCP on the AP vs static on the repeater?

I upgraded to firmware version 1.0.03 I started to have this weird issue: I have four PCs connected to this wireless router via wireless G. They all run Windows 7 Home Premium. After a few hours I started to notice that the DHCP client table is empty even if all four PCs are connected to the internet. This causes a networking problem because one of the PC serves as a file server and it grants access by IP addresses. Not being able to "see" those computers, my access is denied.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an issue on an ASA 5510 that I have noticed today, when I am using the log viewer all of the information recorded only shows the high end source and destination ports. For example
Source IP 10.10.4.69
Source Port 59886
Destination IP 8.8.8.8
Destination Port 59866
So what seems to be happening is that I am seeing only half of the connection in the log viewer, I see the side with the high end ports and not the side with the ports the application uses, this example was done with a ping. All my services are working correctly and the client sending the ping gets the response expected, it just seems I have lost the logging display?
I have a HP CP2025N laser printer that has been happily working on my Apple network. Now all of a sudden I keep getting a "printer not connected" error. I reset the network to no avail. I am running Lion, the printer is connected via an ethernet cable on a Apple Express routter that extends an apple extreme. Again this configuration has been running for two years now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter making some physical changes to my home network (which had been running for sometime without incident) my desktop machine stopped (home built MSI X58 Platinum MB) talking to the network. I get "media not connected" even though I am connected, and the connection works for any other computer I attach. I get indication of proper physical connection at both ends (router and computer ethernet port), however I get no connection and the default 169 .... IP address. It does not matter if I create a fixed IP address in the router and set the ip address of the port to correspond. I have tried all the ip resets, stack resets, remove and reinstall the network ports, etc., to no avail. Connecting directly to the cable modem did not work. I even installed a new buss ethernet card with its own drivers and I get the same 'media not connected'.

One of our Cisco 6500's fitted with a WS-X6704-10GE line card is showing a large number of Rcv-Err's on port 3. The port is disabled and no optic is even plugged in.Upon clearing counters, after every refresh the counters increment by 131070 -- so 131070 > 262140 > 393210 and so on. Seems a little strange that the buffer is full when nothing is connected.

Problem: My PS3 displays An Ethernet cable is not connected almost immediately after logging in. I am connected through a Linksys E2000 router. If I reset the cable modem, it will work for 10-15 minutes until it errors out again. If I plug the PS3 directly into the cable modem, it works fine. I'm really confused. I do not believe it is the router, as my computer is also connected to the router, and works fine. My Touchpad is connected wirelessly and also works fine. I do not believe it is the PS3, because it works fine if I plug it directly into the cable modem. I tried switching to wireless and it finds a lot of other signals (including mine), but I have the same problem if I choose wireless.I first had this problem with a launch PS3 and a Netgear router after almost three years of no problems.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add 89,462+ access list rules to an ASA 5510 running 8.2(5). I have added all the rules to an object group and when I try to apply the access list to an interface it gives me the following error:
ERROR: Cannot add policy to rule engine ERROR: Unable to assign access-list wan-out to interface wan
I have not tried not using an object group and just putting the rules in the access list. I want to be able to add to these rules if needed easily.
I think it's clear that i have exceeded the rule limit for the ASA. So my question is, what is the rule limit for an ASA 5510 and which ASA could I purchase that would handle this amount of rules?
