We have a 100Mbps metro-ethernet link connecting to a remote site. This link is terminating in our 3750-x stack switch. We are getting a LOT of output drop on that interface and our remote IP Phone calls keep going off because of that.I've disabled all kind of QoS, but no luck.

We have an RVS4000 router at two ends of a VPN tunnel. The VPN tunnel is working fine, however a phone at the remote site drops calls, even though they sound clear and unblemished. I have set highest priority on the port the phone is hooked up to at the remote site, and have set a priority for upload traffic on both routers, but the phone stills drops calls after 2 to 3 minutes.

I have set up two ASA 5505's (lets call them ASA1 and ASA2) with site to site VPN configuration and i've encountered two problems with my setup.ASA1 has IP 192.168.1.254 on the inside interface and is connects ASA2. It's also an Easy VPN Server for external users to connect through Easy VPN Client.ASA2 has IP 192.168.11.1 on the inside interface and connects to ASA1 Problem #1 None of the ASA's can ping eachothers inside LAN IP address. Computers behind the ASA's are unable to ping the remote ASA's inside IP address. My guess is that this has to do with either NAT or built in security.Problem #2. The Easy VPN clients which connects to ASA1 are unable to access the LAN behind ASA2.

I can ping across the tunnel from the pc's on either end of the tunnel, but I can't ping across the tunnel from the routers. If i ping using the source command using the LAN interface, the ping is successfull.
The reason i need this is for the remote router to be able to lookup the head office server for dns wins and ldap.

I have configured a VPN tunnel between two remote locations using static IP addresses on two RV042 routers. The tunnel seems to work but the problem is that when the two hosts attempt to ping each other only one can successfully ping. One PC with IP address 192.168.1.100 can ping across the network but the second PC with IP address 192.168.2.100 cannot. These are laptops seperate from the intranet used to test the tunnel. Someone had suggested NAT may be the issue so I enabled NAT Transverse on the routers but still no luck. The following is the results from a ping test.
PC 1
ping 192.168.2.1
Pinging 192.168.2.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.2.1: bytes=32 time=116ms TTL=63

I have a site to site VPN between SiteA to SiteB which is working fine. SiteA has an ASA5520 and SiteB Pix501. The ASA5520 is running version 804 with split tunneling. Users connect to SiteA using remote access VPN. Is it possible to setup SiteA ASA5520 so that when users connect to SiteA they can access servers located on SiteB through the tunnel? I know i can setup the Pix501 for remote access VPN but it is located in another country and i don't want to take a chance just incase i lose connectivity.

I have two routers on my internal network.
10.10.199.106 is a Cisco ASA5510.
10.10.199.108 is a Sonicwall NSA 3500
The sonicwall handles our site to site VPN tunnels. The Cisco handles our client to site VPN connections.
I have a unit that points to 10.10.199.106 (Cisco) for internet access. All other clients on the network point to 10.10.199.108 (Sonicwall) for internet access. The device in question, a Synology NAS, is using 10.10.199.68 as it's IP address.
I'm trying to hit the web interface on the NAS from a remote site across our VPN tunnel. The IP scheme on the remote end of the VPN tunnel is 192.168.72.0/24.
Going through the VPN, I can hit every object on the network that uses .108 (Sonicwalll) as it's gateway. However, I cannot hit the unit that uses .106 (Cisco) as it's gateway.
I added a route statement (using ASDM) that routes all traffic destined to 192.168.72.0/24 to the Sonicwall so it can send it back down the VPN tunnel. If I'm understanding routing correctly, this should allow responses from NAS destined for 192.168.72.0/24 to go back down the VPN tunnel.

inside network----ASA5505========internet===========Remote VPN client.
The ASA has one public IP on its outside interface and using PAT to the internet. It only has two interfaces, inside and outside using vlan. I created a IPSec VPN through CLI. My goal is for the remote client to browse the Internet throught tunnel.
Q1: Is it possible?
Q2: The remote side gets connected and has IP from the pool, with is part of inside network. But it cannot ping anything, including the gateway, which is the inside interface. I debug it, it shows the ASA receives the ping packages, but it doesnt send anything back to the client.

I have an GRE Tunnel across my head office and remote site with multiple subnets using cisco 1841 routers.I can ping most of the devices on the remote side, but I can not ping certain devices. These devices respond to ping requests on the local LAN, but not through the WAN link. If I change the IP of device than it start responding. I am using same gateway and mask on these devices. The remote site is running classic STP on switches with distribution switch being the root bridge.

I was trying to remotely command my iTunes library via an iPhone app called Remote. It worked for some times with an intermittent disconnection problem due to the iPhone locking. But even after unlocking the phone and reconnecting the Wi-Fi, Remote couldn't find my iTunes library again and my only workaround was to relaunch iTunes on the PC (which is Ethernet-wired to my router). Few days ago nothing worked!!! I could no more get Remote to find iTunes.
I could not find a solution even by rebooting the router or unplugging the PC's Ethernet cable. Last night I powered off the router and after 10s I powered it on again. And then it worked!I highly suspect a problem between my router and Bonjour which is as UPnP, an Apple protocol for discovering communicating devices. Discovery phase being usually done with broadcast frames, something goes wrong in the router with processing the broadcasts, or is it a Bonjour problem? Please note that even now that Remote can find iTunes, I still have my old intermittent disconnection problem. So is there any incompatibility between WRT-610N and Bonjour and what is the fix ?

I'm dessigning a network and this is my scenario:
5 - Remote sites (no static IP there)
3 - Remote users (comercial)
1 - Central building (using static ip address)
Is it possible to establish a permanent vpn tunnel between each one of my remote sites to the main building, even if I have no static IP address in the remote sites?
Do you think that RV180 is the best choice to mannage vpn connection between remote sites and the central building securely and faster?

I have setup a site-to-site VPN tunnel between 2 sites using CISCO rv120w.Everything works fine; any PC on one site can access all systems on the other site and vice-versa.The issue I have is when I start a VPN connection another site on Internet using IPSecuritas.I can initiate a VPN to site 1 and site 2; but when connected, I can only access servers that are located into the same site I'm connected to; I cannot ping the remote site. The Range of IP addresses on the internet during my tests is 192.168.11.0 (I 'm using a Mac)
-Systems with IP 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.10.1 are bridges
-Systems with IP 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.10.2 are CISCO rv120w

I'm trying to set up a VPN tunnel between a Linux machine and a RVS4000 at a remote site (served via satellite connection). After many efforts, I finally succeeded (based on Openswan). However, while PINGing is OK, big packets (from the RVS4000 LAN to the Linux box) arrive corrupted.
I lowered the WAN MTU, with no success. What finally did the trick is to lower the MTU at the RVS4000 LAN interface. Since this is not possible via the Web I/F, I did it via telnet ("ifconfig eth0 mtu 1400"). However, this change is lost after router reboot. How can I make the LAN MTU setting permanent?

I have successfully setup the AnyConnect VPN (connecting to our ASA5510) and have split tunneling configured. My remote users can access inside LAN servers as well as the Internet from their remote location. What I would like to know is is it possible to change the split tunnel and not allow access to the Internet from the remote location but force the remote client to go through the VPN and out our internal edge firewall to the Internet? Basically I need my remote clients to access the Internet but I would like for their Internet traffic to go through the VPN and out our edge firewall. This will allow the same security as if they were sitting in the office.

Remote-access users aren't able to reach our remote network through a site-to-site VPN tunnel between two ASA 5505's.
I've seen several threads about that here, I've run through the walkthrough at [URL] I've taken a stab at setting split tunnelling and nat exemption, but it seems I'm still missing something. Remote-access users can reach the main site, but not the remote site.
Remote-access (vpn-houston) uses 192.168.69.0/24.
The main site (houston) uses 10.0.0.0/24
The remote site (lugoff) uses 10.0.1.0/24

At the main site, I have 3 5508 WLCs each part of a mobility group (wlcMain-MG). In NCS, under "System/Mobility Groups" for each controller, I see each controller listed as "local" with the other Controllers listed with the group name "wlcMain-MG". None of the SSIDs are "anchored".
I have a new site with a 2500 series WLC that I would like to push out 2 SSIDs. This site contains two customers. One customer is the Main customer with the second customer leasing space.
I have the Cust2 WLAN at the remote site set to have traffic egress out of a local interface on the 2500 WLC (this traffic is then tunnelled back to their Main location via an ASA which houses the DHCP scope for that vlan). I can connect to this SSID, obtain an IP Address off the ASA and am tunnelling without issue.
For the Cust1 WLAN at the remote site, I would like to broadcast an SSID from the Main location on those same APs which are registered to the 2500. It is my understanding, that I anchor the SSID at the Main site and identically configure the SSID at the remote site. This will allow the end user to authenticate to the RADIUS server at the Main site and be placed upon the correct vlan (we are using DOT1x and dynamic vlans).
For my test, I am starting simple. I have created a test WLAN with no authentication. At the main site, on 5508 WLC3, I have created the test WLAN, and placed the interface into a low security vlan (call it VLAN-low). I have anchored this test WLAN to that controller. At the remote site, I have created the same WLAN (but placed it into the management interface for now - the VLAN-low does not exist at the remote site) and configured that WLAN to anchor back to the WLC3 at the main site. I am unable to obtain an IP address from the remote site. I have placed the remote site WLC in the wlcMain-MG as well. How close does the code need to be on the controllers - the 5508s are at 7.0.116.0 and the 2500 is at 7.0.220.0? What could I be missing?
