Is there any way to recover the correct user name short of resetting the router and setting it up again from scratch?
I was trying to upgrade my 3560 in the lab and I think I might have bricked it. I tried to load up IOS image c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE5.bin so I would have SSH support. I originally was running c3560-advipservicesk9-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin and now I can't get either to load, I get the error message 'magic number mismatch: bad mzip file'.I've formatted the switch and attempted to load the 122-55.SE5.bin image and got the error message above. In hope I could revert back to my old IOS I tried to load up the 122-25.SEE2.bin image but got the same error message! I've verified that the image was indeed on the flash. I'm at a loss here because I know both images are valid. I've tested them both on my other 3560's.

Then if I use SSH using sh crypto command it shows the same number as on the Monitor > VPN sections. I am running 8.3(1) and ASDM 6.3(1).

I'm having issue with 881W router. this router doesnt let me logon to it after I restart the router and enter correct credentials. after being at the router - it doesn't let me logon to its AP module even after adding correct credentials. I've changed 2 routers so far but see same issue.

I've recently upgraded to windows 8 and I've been having some issues with my wireless connectivity. I've narrowed it down to an issue with the wireless adapter. Specifically, windows doesn't seem to recognize my Intel centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 and instead installed drivers for Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6250 AGN. The correct driver is instead listed in "Other Devices" in the device manager.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have configured Cisco 2811 and 3825 routers to connect the main and remote sites as per the attached topology. At the main site, the Cisco 3825 router is equipped with SFP ports (HWIC-1GE-SFP with GLC-LH-SM=) for fiber optic connectivity and also has a HWIC-1CE1T1-PRI installed The Cisco 2811 routers at the remote sites are each equipped with a WIC-1SHDSL-V3 module for SHDSL connectivity and with a WIC-1B-S/T-V3 for backup ISDN connectitivty.
In normal time the routers are using the SHDSL to Fiber optic connectitivty for communication. This has already been configured and is working. Now, there is a need to implement a backup connection between these sites such that in case the SHDSL or fiber optic connectivity fails, the routers should automatically dial up the backup ISDN connectivity so as to ensure business continuity.
I have a ASA 5510. I setup basic configuration to test internet with 2 ISPs. My first line works with out any problem. But my second line doesn't work. Even when i wipe the configuration, and setup only my second isp. Internet doesn't work. Can you tell me if there is anything wrong with this config?

My router is Cisco 2811 with IOS version 12.4(22)T1. It had established IPSec with another peer (203.*.*.250 shown below) for long until recently we make it re-establish IPSec VPN with another peer (203.*.*.30 shown below). It showed that the new sa is active but the result still showed there were 4 deleted SAs. The 4 obsolete sa entries won't vanish no matter what I do i.e. reset the interface, re-create crypto map, clear all sa and etc.
From numerous testings we knew that the VPN doesn't work even the desired sa is there remaining active. I reckon it has something to do with those deleted sas ( i mean it is supposed to show only the last one if it is working fine ). I don't know how it would be come like this as we did pretty much the samething on other VPN routers with no problems.
I have a 3825 router running 12.4t IOS. I installed DSU/CSU part number HWIC-1DSU-T1 in the router and it does not recognize it. Is this the right card for this router? Is there anything I can look at to determine the issue? I think the router only has 32M RAM. Below is a show hardware. Card is still currently installed.

I'm trying to connect a Cisco 2811 using an octal cable to a Juniper MX480 console port.Since the distance between Cisco 2811 and router is 20ft, im using couplers and a straight-through cable for the lack of slack. This wiring doesnt work, however in another city it works going straight from the Cisco 2811 octal cable to the router since they are in the same rack.

When I attempt to load it with an IOS, it appears to load just fine. It even proceeds to restart, but when it boots back up it displays the error "No images in / Error 15: File not found. unable to boot an image" and goes to ROMMON.
My computer's IP is 10.0.0.1. I'm assigning the ASA 10.0.0.254. The image filename is asa724-k8.bin. Here's the output of the environmental variables and the attempted loading of the IOS:

My switches are C3550 Layer 3 switches. Both ISP's do work so connectivity is not the problem.
If I shutdown the fa0/19 port on SW1 the SLA kicks in and changes my defualt route out 10.0.1.0 without a problem. And when I do a no shut it comes back to tge 192.168.10.0 netowrk just as we would expect. No problem there.
When I disconnect the ISP 1 cell phone the SLA does switch the defualt route to the 10.0.1.0 netowrk. Okay, just fine so far. Here isthe problem, when i reconnect the cell phone the SLA does not come back to the 192.168.10.0 netowrk without first having to delete the SLA and then recresting it (both switches).

Use other devices in your house, trusted devices that have already been able to connect. Windows 7 is the protagonist in this role. Windows 7 enables the use of wireless profiles to be saved for faster connections to be made within the broadcasted range of the SSID. Btw SSID is the network name you see appear in your Wireless Manager. I.e.Bat_Cave; Starbucks; Barnes & Noble Wifi etc.

You can have two (2) books with the same name but a different story. When I say different story, I am referring to a different encryption standard; cipher and wireless password. The reason I am showing you two (2) configurations is because when you are recovering a key for a network, you want to make sure the configuration is the same or else the door will always be locked until you correct your errors. The network name we have is Bat_Cave and we need to recover the key for the SSID that has a Cipher of TKIP.Right click the profile name and click properties. This will allow you to change SSID configuration on the notebook ONLY; in case changes have been made to the router or a buddy changed his encryption standard on his home network. Yeah it's easy enough just to remove the profile and reconnect; but that would be too easy, you wouldn't learn anything.Once you are in the properties of the wireless profile, click the [Security Tab] up top and you will see: encryption standard, cipher and the key; and as a plus, a check box to show you what the key is. Show the hidden contents and copy or write down the key.By using other trusted device on your network or business, you can utilize the resources that you have, to recover a password on your home or business network so long you have the permission from your superior and a good heart for positive intent.

I need to prepend *67 to all called numbers which don't originate from my house. I don't want people calling my home number based on the caller-id number they see when someone across one of the tunnels calls.
So if 5008 calls 212-333-4444 I want it sent to my provider as *672123334444. If 5001 calls a number, I don't want it touched. Can I do this? I can use IOS or CUCM here.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my WRT54GL v1.1 yesterday and connected it to my pc [wired] and netbook [wireless]. I thought all was well until I noticed that my Magic Jack VoIP telephone began dropping calls after about 1 minute. My first course of action was to disable SPI firewall in router and reboot. That had no affect on the situation, then I noticed that my send light on my cale modem [ no manufacturer listed on unit] was not blinking as it has done before the router installation. I reverted to my cable modem to pc only set up and my Magic Jack worked just fine. I need to use the router for wireless, so I need to find a solution to this problem. I took a look at my firmware version and saw that it was not current, but I wanted to bring my problem here for a possible solution be for I flashed new firmware.
