I've recently upgraded to windows 8 and I've been having some issues with my wireless connectivity. I've narrowed it down to an issue with the wireless adapter. Specifically, windows doesn't seem to recognize my Intel centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 and instead installed drivers for Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6250 AGN. The correct driver is instead listed in "Other Devices" in the device manager.

I have this laptop with a built-in Intel Centrino Advanced-N + Wimax 6250 adapter to connect to WiMAX.Right now I have a WiMAX connection at home with a simple gateway. So what I want to do right now is trying to connect to this network using my built-in adapter.I'm facing right now is that the driver of the adapter only searchs for a certain provider from the US (Clear). I'd like to subscribe to their service but I live in Argentina so that's not a valid option. So my question is if you know of a custom driver or some other way to search for my local wimax network.

My desktop doesn't have a wireless adapter I always had it set up on a direct connection. So I went to the E3000 support and downloaded the software on my laptop and burned it to a DVD and put it in my desktop so I could update the drivers manually and be able to connect to the internet. But it seems the software only supported wireless connections, am I just sol? Is there some way to get my desktop to update the drivers for the router?

Now it doesn't recognize any wireless at all. I tried the FN,F5 still no luck. It has a INTEL card, Model WM3B2100 in it and it worked fine before the restore and update.

When I went here [URL] and installed the software my Windows 7 Pro w/64 bit does not recognize the adapter. When I go to Device Manager it does see the Belkin under other devices. When I choose the folder the drivers are located /program files (x86) it says it can't find the driver in that location.

I've been using this router for almost 2 years and it has been excellent but since 2 weeks ago it has stopped recognizing anything connected to the LAN port 1 and the WAN port, so it becomes useless as a router because I cannot connect a cable modem. The cable modem was tested successfully with a direct connection to a computer but it doesn't work with the router, and also ANYTHING you connect to these ports on the router is not detected, the lights do not turn on.
Ok this is the send router this has happened to but anyway after a power blink the router no longer recognizes that i have a modem connected to it no matter how many times I reboot both of them it can't recognize that i have a modem connected i know it is not the modem because i'm using it to type this right now directly connected to my desktop

My computer, first, will not run the software CD automatically; I have to find it and double-click on it. Then, after the drivers are supposedly installed and I restart according to the instructions, my computer is unable to find them when I plug in the adapter. Additionally, when I try to start the driver program myself, it refuses to go. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver software four times and I have gotten the following same results every time. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a WRT54GS V7 that I have been running for a few years now with no problems until today.My wife used the internet from her laptop through the day but this evening after she moved to the bedroom and booted up the laptop, she found there was no internet connection. I tried what I know in cases like these, unplugging the router or modem for brief periods of time to try and get things going again but to no avail. So I tried using the Easylink Advisor which basically suggested the same process.
At this point, my internet connection is coming in from the cable just fine. I have access on the desktop which is wired and works with no problems. The modem and router lights are both signaling that everything is fine but no wireless internet coming from the router.
Using the desktop I tried looking for some solutions and tried resetting the router. I ultimately called customer support but being out of warranty they wanted too much although she suggested that I needed to reconfigure the router since I had reset it. I followed the online instructions for reconfiguring but still have gotten nowhere.
I had to re-install Vista on my Dell Studio 1535, and site the re-install i've not been able to connect to wi-fi because Vista apparently doesnt seem to recognise the wireless adapter. In Device Manager it lists the generic "Network Controller" and has a question mark next to it.
I've installed Dell System software, Dell Notebook System software, Quickset, chipset drivers and the R206848 file that includes the 1397 drivers, yet its still not recognised.
I'm having issue with 881W router. this router doesnt let me logon to it after I restart the router and enter correct credentials. after being at the router - it doesn't let me logon to its AP module even after adding correct credentials. I've changed 2 routers so far but see same issue.
try to setup up credentials using: username <username> privilege 15 secret 0 <password> or username <username> priviledge 15 password 0 <password>
Problem I've been having with my laptop. Following the directions of a Dell technician while trying to resolve a separate problem, I deleted the partitions on my hard drive and manually reinstalled both Vista and all the drivers that were on the Dell CD that came with my laptop. When I tried connecting to the internet, Vista said I did not have any wireless networking hardware, but before the reinstallation it worked just fine. I am able to connect to the internet using a wired connection, but my wireless adapter still isn't working. I use Windows Vista 32-bit SP1

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to an Epson WF 545 to connect to a wireless network. I get an error message when it fails to connect to a networked iMac. The message says, "Entered security key/password does not match the one set for your router/access point."Several weeks ago, I had to reset my wireless network password/security key. That reset worked for our 3 PCs and 2 Macs including this iMac...the one that now doesn't connect to the wireless printer or maybe vice versa...why the iMac can't connect to the Epson (or vice versa), but the iMac does connect to the wireless network, and in order to do that, it makes use of the new network password / security key that I just put in the Epson to set it up in the network. Can you tell me if the wireless router somehow has a password / security key that I did not change when I changed the wireless network security key? The new network password/security key that I entered in the Epson is correct.

Yesterday I had internet without any problems but this morning when I turned my computer on, the light on it wasn't blinking. Tried turning power on/off, unplugging and pluhging back but still no solution.Checked Device Manager and there is no (!) or (?) next to the device name. Also it says device is working properly. Even did the "scan for hardware changes" and again it shows that device is working properly.. But that's not all! The weirdest thing here is that my 3 neighbours who are from the same ISP have the exact same problem. We're connectrd to 1 box that is outside. The other part of the village that is on the same ISP has no such problems. So I'm wondering if it's a local corrupt cable problem or our cards have fried. I believe we use fiber optic cables.

After reading other posts, I reset the router with no results, used a new cable from the Belkin to the computer, changed ports, checked connections, restarted; nothing. When I do an ipconfig, a small window pops open and goes off before I can make anything out. I undestand Belkin's IP address is 192.168.2.1 and I'm showing that my IPv4DHCP Server is that, as is my DNS server. The IPv4WINS server shows nothing.

Our router was infected with DNSchanger, so I sought to reset the router and update the firmware. I reset the router and it no longer recognized the internet connection. I have multiple computers on my network as well as cell phones logging in as wifi. At least once a day I have trouble or another computer has trouble getting on line through my network. I have to unplug my router and replug. Its as if it doesn't recognize the ip address until reboot.

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust got a new supervisor 4 engine for this catalyst 4503 switch that has ios 12.2 (53) SG installed on it. That's quite a bit above the 7.6 i was working with. I'm having a couple issues now. first, I read that it is supposed to be sending out broadcasts automatically to get it's IP address but it doesn't seem to be. the module i'm plugging into there is ws-x4448-gb-rj45, a 48 port 10/100/1000 module in case it matters. it works other than that. I can plug two computers in and see them and i can plug the network in and they'll both get addresses and internet, but i need an IP on the switch. is there a way to send a manual request for broadcast out or somehow set the IP manually? (I know I can do it in the rommon, but that doesn't seem to do anything)
also, the last module in the switch is a 24 port poe ws-x4224-rj45v. the module is recognized, the status light green, the "show interface status" lists it, but it doesn't recognize anything plugged into it. the supervisor is not configured at all yet, so maybe that has something to do with it, but the other module, like i said, works.
