We have a site to site VPN from one client location to our production center in offshore. At the client side we have a PIX 515 used for the tunnel. Since the client requires a backup VPN over a different ISP we will have to add the ISP to the same PIX and then create the secondary VPN.
how we can acheive two ISP's on one PIX since only two Ethernet ports are availble.

I want to configure Reliable static routing with object tracking. I have a cisco 3825 and 3925 router in which the hsrp will be configured . Now these two routers are connected a remote site via three different WAN connectivity as under
1. MPLS
2. LL-1
3. LL-2
The priority of routing is also the same sequence.
Now if the MPLS goes down the remote site should be connected via LL-1. If both the MPLS and LL-1 goes down the remote site should be connected via LL-2.
The LL-1 is terminated on cisco 3825 and LL-2 is terminated on cisco 3925. MPLS is terminated on both cisco 3825 as well as 3925 router.
Whether multiple tracking options are available so that i can achieve the same. Topology diagram is attached.
We have Cisco 7609 routers in our network. We are using ppp multilinks between the sites. Because of the high traffic volume, we have to use multiple multilinks. 7609 router doesn't allow ppp multlink to span SIPs, so we use multiple mulitilinks between sites on different SIPs. OSPF for load balancing will be used. THE PROBLEM IS: when we define the second ppp multilink between two 7609 routers, the new multilink stays "inactive". Can we use multiple multilinks to the same router? We have enabled the command IP CEF DISTRIBUTED, but we still face the same problem". IOS used is: 122-18.SXF6
View 21 Replies View RelatedWe have got a pair of N5K and 4 N2k. So far, we have configured VPC Keepalive (2x10G) & VPN Peer (1x1G) between N5K. Also we have configured one N2K with Dual Hommed VPC with both N5K.Now I am having some difficulties with desining/configuring EIGRP with Upstream routers/L3 65xxVSS switch.
Here are the queries.
1) Do I have to create another 1GE link between these 2 N5K to enable routing in between.
2) For these 2xN5K should I enable Eigrp on physical Interface or should I create VLAN & VRF to enable routing in between.
3) For N5K to Upstream L3 device should I have to configure EIGRP on physical Interface or should I create VLAN & VRF to proceed. We have 2 uplink each to connect to 2 DC and we are not planning to aggregate 2 links (VPC or L3 Ether Channel) for each site.
I have been working on redesign of our network which was very challenging but almost there.We have a limited budget of around £20k(32k Dollor) Max. The cabling has been done before my time and it is very messy and cheap so you can not do a proper cisco hierarchical model at all.I can not have multiple links from each access layer switch to the core/distribution and as a result i had to connect some access switches together to introduces redundancy in a nutshell,we have two buildings, main building which has the server room in it and the other building which is just bunch of office. i have introduced a partial mesh on the normal building and have tried to introduce full mesh on the main building .

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to connect my ps3, sky hd+ box and samsung smart tv. Upstairs is my wireless router and I have connected to this by using a power supply networking adaptor (duvelo). I have since purchased a cheap ethernet switch from ebay and plugged this into the power adaptor connection next to my ps3, sky hd+ and samsung smart tv downstairs. I thought by connecting these 3 devices to the switch (which is connected to the duvelo adaptor) I could have all 3 devices simultaneously connected online. However, I still can only have 1 ethernet cable in the switch at once and hence only connect 1 device at a time.

The website was working even yesterday but during yesterday evening, it stopped working and it's been like that since. I don't know how to fix it. My command prompt says my server can't find that one website and says my server failed. I tried other things like scan my computer, restart it, look at my Chrome settings, my firewall settings, nothing worked. I'm not sure what's going on here, because the network is private, and the contact information for 2Wire/Pace was useless for me, so I don't know what to do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 4402 which is connected to a 4506 Switch int Gig 3/1 via a trunk port. The Managment and AP-manger interfaces are on vlan 6 [code] I have a 1142N AP also connected to the switch and it pulls a DHCP IP Address and configs etc and registers to the WLC. It too is on Vlan 6 and it is connected to the 4506 on int gig 4/33 which is an access port. [code] I am doing local authentication, so i have added users to the WLC.. My problem is that the first client that connected was able to get an IP address and connect to anything internal and external.I then connected another client on another laptop and that client could connect but not get an IP address, it just self assigned.When i look at the clients i can see the MAC address of both Clients on the WLC, but doing a show mac address-table dynamic i only see the MAC of the client that works properly. The client that doesnt get an IP has no entry in the 4506 switch.I am stumped, from what I understand, is that the 2nd clients traffic is being trunked to the WLC , hence it has the MAC address. But I dont know why its not getting a DHCP assigned IP address.

There is an ethernet jack and right now the cord there is going into the linksys 8 port workgroub hub and then separate ethernet cords are wired from the hub out to each computer. But, this set up only allows the PC that is turned on first to connect to the internet. Am I using the hub wrong? Do I need another piece of equipment? The lab was set up like this when I arrived, but it is not working (I am thinking it did at some time).
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow i can configure a second ssid for guest access in our environment. this is our network setup prior to this request: Internet----Firewall (not ASA)---ce520---C1131AG and CME router is also connecting to the ce520 switch. we only have two vlans: one for voice and two for data.
Presently, there is no vlan configured on the AP because it on broadcasting ont ssid and wireless users gets IP from a windows DHCP server on the LAN. the configuration on the ce520 switch port for the AP and other switches say access vlan is the DATA vlan which automatically becomes the native vlan for all trunk port connecting the AP and other Stiches to the network.
Now with this new requirement, i have made my research and i have configured the AP to broadcast both the production and the guest Vlans. The two vlans are 20-DATA and 60-Guest. I made the DATA vlan on the AP the native vlan since the poe switch is using the DATA vlan as native on the trunk ports. I configured the firewall to serve as DHCP server for the guest ssid and i have added the ip helper-address on the guest vlan interface on all switches while the windows server remains the dhcp server for the production DATA Vlan. I have confirmed that the AP, switches can ping the default gateway of the guest dhcp server which is another interface on the firewall. I can now see and connect to all broadcasted ssids but the problem is I am not getting IP addresses from both the production dhcp server and guest dhcp server when i connected to the ssid one at a time. My AP config is attached below.
Do i need to redesign the whole network to have a native vlan other nthan the data vlan? Does the access point need to be aware of the voice vlan? Do the native Vlan on the AP need to be in Bridge-group 1 or can i leave it in bridge-group 20?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to build a new network from scratch, I have the WLC 5508 w/ Aironet 3600e APs connected to my Netgear Smart Switches and a Linksys RV082 router that I'm using as my DHCP server with several VLANs for several stuff on my Switches.
I have 2 questions:
1. Can I have 5 Interfaces configured on 5 different VLANs, each SSID on each a different Port:
Port 1: Controller management only=> 192.168.x.x /24
Port 2: SSID 1: WiFi Internal=> 172.16.x.x/12 (Radius Auth with no sharing)
Port 3: SSID 2: WiFi Internal w/ sharing=> 192.168.x.x/24 (Radius Auth with sharing)
Port 4 :SSID 3: WiFi Guest=> 10.0.x.x/8 (Web Auth)
Port 5: SSID 4: WiFi IT=> 192.168.x.x/24 ( Radius or certificate Auth with access to the controller management interface)
2. How can I use the Controller as the DHCP server for all the WiFi traffic, and how should that be configured to work with my other DHCP server?
i`m facing a problem configuring the mentioned access point to act as stand alone access point with multiple SSID assigned to differnet VLANs the problem is that
1) i`m not able to broadcast the both SSIDs in the same time from the Access point
2) i need to make the radius server to manage the SSID access for the wireless clients (trying to find a way in which the aceess point sends a log for the radius server containing the VLAN id /IP address of the the SSID) you may find the below info about the IOS ver. & the configuration?

All the trunks are using LACP active - active right now but that's only to one chassis.Should I change all my MEC etherchannel trunks to desirable mode or just leave them active-active?

One General Network,One DMZ for webhosting.Now, since this router has 4 ethernet ports, i assumed i did not need VLANS. Except when i try configure an interface with an IP address i get this error: % IP addresses may not be configured on L2 links.Now. Ive looked around on the internet about this error. And it seems that since these interfaces are not Layer 3 interfaces,they need to be associated with VLANS.This would be OK. Except this requires an IP address on an interface on the router! Back to square one.
