Ping Results Table
Configurations for 1811 router, ap1121g root access point, ap1121g wgb.
Referring to the attached network diagram, I cannot communicate past the ap1121g-wgb in either direction. Also attached is a result table of ping attempts through the ap1121wgb from each side. I don't have a problem with the wireless connections. The ap1121g's associate ok. Based on the ping results the problem appears to be in the ap1121g-wgb configuration. The following two cisco documents have been my main reference, besides the cisco command lookup site.URL

Nov 18, 2012Client has a building that is located 300Ft apart and would like to provide IP communications for 3-4 IP hadsets back to an IP PBX. They do not want to dig up the parking lot so we proposed using a wireless bridge. I noticed that Cisco discontinue the 1300 and 1400 Wireless Bridge. Can I use a 1262 with external antenna in Workgroup Bridge mode to perform this functions? I will put a Layer 3 switch on both ends to route traffic (3560C-8). Should I use the Yagi antenna's for outdoor use?

Feb 21, 2012We have some rolling carts used for telemedicine and are currently using Linksys WET610N wireless bridges. I haven't been very impressed with them - I have to reboot them at least once a week and figure it's a roaming issue. Since they are a residential product they probably weren't designed to do a lot of roaming.I started playing around with WGB and setup an 1142 AP and got it to work. Unfortunately, the only place I can put the AP is inside the cart and the metal top seems to be interfering with the wireless signal.

Dec 4, 2012i am trying to expand the wifi range of my WRVS4400n. Since the WAP4400 is'nt available i got me a wap321, since it was mentioned as recommende replacement. However i am having trouble in getting the bridge to work.First i tried to use WDS but this only killed my WRVS4400n and i am now trying the Workghroup Bridge mode on the WAP321.
On WRVS4400n i have enabled WDS and have tried both auto setting and Manual without any difference I am stuck with this status on the WAP321:
Network Interface Status and Statistics VLAN ID Name (SSID)
WLAN0UPSTRM Disconnected 1 myssid
WLAN0DWSTRM Up 1 myssid
It is the Infrastructure Client Interface setting that fails, i've tried both None and WPA pesronal Security setting with same result: Disconnected

Feb 21, 2013I am trying to enable the workgroup bridge mode on the 5ghz 802.11N radio of a Aironet 1262N, but when I select the workgroup bridge mode from the GUI the radio becomes disabled. If I select the Access Point role from the GUI then the radio instantly becomes enabled. The same thing happens if I attempt the same procedure with the 2.4ghz radio as well. I can get the radios from both bands enabled if I select the Access Point role. I made sure to check that both radios were not set to workgroup bridge as well. I am running 12.4(25d)JA1 code on the AP. This is my first time working with this type of AP.

What are the commands I'd need to take my 200.180.200.0 255.255.255.128, gateway 200.180.200.1 and turn it into 200.180.200.0 255.255.255.192, gateway 200.180.200.1 and 200.180.200.64 255.255.255.192, gateway 200.180.200.65? One of the interfaces will be connected to the ISP & the other to a switch, and then we could access the two subnets through the switch.

I have enble both dott11Radio interfaces on each access point. The problem I am having is that they do not associate. I have not configured them for any encryption or security. I just want to make sure the connect before I add any other configuration. Is there anything else that I need to configure to make them associate.

I tryed two configurations: Root and Non-Root AP. This way every wired PC on the Root AP can connect to the Access points, but cannot connect to the wired PC on the Non-Root AP.AP and WGB. Even this way the wired computers on one AP cannot connect to the wired PC on the WGB. This way only the wireless client can connect to the wired network. This is my network:

Apr 9, 2011I'm moving into a new data center. I don't consider myself a network engineer or anything but I do understand the basics. The new data center I am moving into routes my network to me a bit differently than my old data center. The IOS on the Cisco 2621 is: c2600-i-mz.123-26.bin
I am assigned a /29 block which they configure as the routing network, it looks like this: Routing Network: A.A.A.0Routing Network Sub net Mask: 255.255.255.248Routing Network Def Gateway: A.A.A.1Customer Usable Address: A.A.A.4
I've been assigned a /28 block which is B.B.B.240/28. They stated that in order for me to use my allocated blocks, I had to act as my own gateway, routing the traffic through the routing network. This goes just a bit beyond my networking knowledge, though I still understand it, I just don't know exactly how to execute. I'm assuming my 2621 with 2 Fast Ethernet interfaces should be able to handle this routing scenario.
Any sample configs, or possible a link to a how to to get this setup? I was going to use FreeBSD to do the routing, but a appliance based Cisco router is much more attractive of an option to me.

Jun 10, 2009I have a wrt350n at home and it works fine but it has only one little issue. When I connect my lap wireless I cant see the other work group pcs but if I wire the laptop there is no problem. I use ip to share files and not net bios but sometimes it would be great to find all the pcs on the work group easily and not memorize all the ips.
Disabled firewalls, updated firmware, tried to change network ip... nothing solved. Have no problems at work with an WRT54G.
Workgroup Works Great When Hardwired To Router / Doesn't With Wireless
Nov 28, 2012I have a win7 desktop upstairs with all of my media on it.I also have a winXP laptop that I would like to use as a media center running xbmc connected to my tv downstairs.I have set up a workgroup so my laptop can access the media stored on my desktop and everything works great when they are both hardwired to my router (Linksys E3000).However, as soon as I unplug my laptop from my router and switch to the wireless connection I can no longer ping my desktop or access the shared folder (internet still works fine on the laptop, it just cant see my desktop anymore).If I plug it back in to the router, everything works again.
The exact error message I get when I try to access the shared folder is "\INFINITYMedia is not accessable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. [code]
