View 7 RepliesI have a 2500 and I have successfully joined a 1600 AP to it; however I have noticed that I cannot enable CleanAir in the Global Parameters with just the 1602 AP joined. This feature was enable when I had my 2602 AP connected. So, is the problem that the 1602 doesn't fully support CleanAir? If that is the case, how do I enable CleanAir Express or is that something you can even enable thru the GUI?

Ping Results Table
Configurations for 1811 router, ap1121g root access point, ap1121g wgb.
Referring to the attached network diagram, I cannot communicate past the ap1121g-wgb in either direction. Also attached is a result table of ping attempts through the ap1121wgb from each side. I don't have a problem with the wireless connections. The ap1121g's associate ok. Based on the ping results the problem appears to be in the ap1121g-wgb configuration. The following two cisco documents have been my main reference, besides the cisco command lookup site.URL
Client has a building that is located 300Ft apart and would like to provide IP communications for 3-4 IP hadsets back to an IP PBX. They do not want to dig up the parking lot so we proposed using a wireless bridge. I noticed that Cisco discontinue the 1300 and 1400 Wireless Bridge. Can I use a 1262 with external antenna in Workgroup Bridge mode to perform this functions? I will put a Layer 3 switch on both ends to route traffic (3560C-8). Should I use the Yagi antenna's for outdoor use?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have some rolling carts used for telemedicine and are currently using Linksys WET610N wireless bridges. I haven't been very impressed with them - I have to reboot them at least once a week and figure it's a roaming issue. Since they are a residential product they probably weren't designed to do a lot of roaming.I started playing around with WGB and setup an 1142 AP and got it to work. Unfortunately, the only place I can put the AP is inside the cart and the metal top seems to be interfering with the wireless signal.

However i am having trouble in getting the bridge to work.First i tried to use WDS but this only killed my WRVS4400n and i am now trying the Workghroup Bridge mode on the WAP321.
On WRVS4400n i have enabled WDS and have tried both auto setting and Manual without any difference I am stuck with this status on the WAP321:
Network Interface Status and Statistics VLAN ID Name (SSID)
WLAN0UPSTRM Disconnected 1 myssid
WLAN0DWSTRM Up 1 myssid
It is the Infrastructure Client Interface setting that fails, i've tried both None and WPA pesronal Security setting with same result: Disconnected
Any sample configuration of c1310 as a work group bridge.

If I select the Access Point role from the GUI then the radio instantly becomes enabled. The same thing happens if I attempt the same procedure with the 2.4ghz radio as well. I can get the radios from both bands enabled if I select the Access Point role. I made sure to check that both radios were not set to workgroup bridge as well. I am running 12.4(25d)JA1 code on the AP. This is my first time working with this type of AP.

we demo'd a 3500 with CleanAir before working with Cisco and purchasing a first batch. The demo worked as expected, just plugged it in and it went to town serving clients and reporting on it's channel in local mode, no problem. My first batch I have two AP's, 3502i's to be exact, plugged in and running on my 5508 with 7.0.98.0 code and and NCS Demo. The AP is up and serving in local mode, however NCS says CleanAir Management Operation StateDown
I took a look at the WLC and it says:
CleanAir
Oper
Status DOWN
So, why.. and where do I put it UP.BTW, this AP is connected to a 3750x stack, shouldn't be an issue there...

I have an unusual request to support an access point with a single external antenna to cover a small physical area (elevator car!!). All Cisco's currently shipping APs have dual band antennas using MIMO for throughput in "normal" deployments. Will a deployment with a single antenna work?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed an Aironet 1602i, standalone WAP. I have it configured to use a RADIUS server in our office. However, two issues have come up when trying to get clients connected.
iPhones and iPads won't connect to either the 2.4 or the 5 GHz radios.
No one can connect to the 5 Ghz radio.
Both radios are UP according to the GUI interfaces of the WAP. Also, laptops and android devices are able to connect to the 2.4GHz radio but not the 5 GHz radio.
I am on the latest version of the firmware.
I have a 1242 Access Point as root and a 871W Router as a non-root bridge (Diagram attached). I have a laptop connected to Fa 0 of the 871W router.
* I am able to ping from the AP to the Router and vice versa
* I am also able to ping from the router to the laptop and vice versa
* But I am not able to ping from the laptop to the AP
All bridging commands seem to be fine. Even tried adding route commands, but none seem to work. Please find the configuration below:

View 9 Replies View RelatedContrary to the information contained in the link above, these two parts do not play well together. I purchased both and plugged them in and no go. It doesn't even light anything on the WAP. It worked fine when it was on its own 12V DC adapter but not plugged into this injector. What I don't understand is why Cisco doesn't just make a Universal power injector that is essentially a 1 port switch and is 802.3af or 802.3at compatible. Its maddening. It looks like I'm going to have to get an SD208P and waste 6 ports just to get one with the correct POE for the WAP4410.
