I am setting up an ASA550 ver 7.2(3) - does this need upgrading?I have my ISP interfaces setup as primary and backup I have a static route pointing out:route primary 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 1.2.3.4 1 Question:Do I put the next static route to be route secondary 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 3.4.5.6 254 Will this set a high metric on the secondary route that will only take effect if the primary route is down? I assume I will need to have 2 sets of NAT rules to accommodate the dual ISP's

I have a 1841 router with two wan access from two different ISP:throught dialer with fixed ip obtained from dhcp - ATM interface, thought fastethernet 0/1 with fixed ip and a specific gateway - can be use for Internet traffic if dialer is down.I can't manage to make them accessible at the same time (ping and ssh).In a second time I would like to have a VPN client access on one wan and site to site VPN on the other, instead of having the two on one wan.

I've setup access via our ASA5510 portal which is working fine but I can't seem to connectto the ASA when there are two active connections. If there is only one, it's fine.
Problem - Unable to Connect More Than Three WEB VPN Users to PIX/ASAProblem :Only three WEB VPN clients can connect to ASA/PIX; the connection for the fourth client fails.
Solution :In most cases, this issue is related to a simultaneous login setting within the group policy.Use this illustration to configure the desired number of simultaneous logins. In this example, the desired value was 20.
ciscoasa(config)# group-policy Bryan attributes
ciscoasa(config-group-policy)# vpn-simultaneous-logins 20Would this be the same thing?
If so how whould I check the existing setting in the GUI?

I know enough to be dangerous when it comes to networking, but this one has me baffled. I'm running a win 7 pc with dual nics.
I need to have 1 nic connected to a vpn and the other to be restricted to intranet access only. I can't for the life of me figure out how to accomplish this.
Once I connect 1 nic to the VPN i'm no longer visible to my lan, even if the 2nd nic is connected.

I already have a DIR-855 and was considering using a DAP-1522 in conjunction to bridge my 5GHz N to my living room to feed HD media to my PVR box and also feed wired-only clients like my TV and BR player. But, in my new flat I find that the walls are pretty thick and my wifi signal is dropping off pretty quick, so I was wondering if you can configure the DAP-1522 to simultaneously be a wifi bridge to feed my media clients, and an AP to feed any laptops that might be in use in the living room?

We are planning to use an ASA 5540 to terminate about 3000 IPSec connections. The maximum supported IPsec VPN Peers for this platform ist 5000, so this should be ok in theory.
What is a bit unclear to me is what exactly happens when (for whatever reason) all 3000 clients try to connect at once ? Perhaps it's not at once but depending on timers this could mean 3000 incoming IPsec connection within 10-20 seconds.
Will the the ASA cope with it ? I can't find any info regarding this on CCO. It's also not that easy to test/simulate.

This is one I am having a hard time finding an answer for. How many clients can a 3600 AP support? For 150 clients on one of these, what would the throughput be for each client?
If my calculations are correct, the device can deliver 420 Mbps, which gives each client roughly 2.8Mbps. Is this correct?

I have an issue with an implementation, I had a ACS R5.1 that I'm using to authenticate the wireless users with 802.1x, that's OK and working fine. Now I want to use the same ACS to authenticate wired users using MAB (for IP phones, printers, servers, and other devices) and 802.1x (for corporate users). I already configured the authentication services (MAB and 802.1x) on ACS, but when I'm doing tests I can see that for example the phones are trying to authenticate using the 802.1x rules of wireless connection, not using the MAB rules. [code]
You could also see an screen from the ACS in the attached file. On the picture remark you could see a IP Phone trying to authenticate using the wireless Access Services insted of using MAB.

we are using ACS4.2 to authenticate wireless users for ssid : copr-wireless. the acs authenticate users via windows database (acs is a member of the windows doamin) no local user defined in acs. there is a mapping between all windows users and a local group in acs (wireless_group) in wireless group i defined the vlan as 80 so that corp-wireless clients will be in vlan 80 and they can take an ip address from one DHCP server in the network. vlan 80 is in our core switch. the dhcp also.
now we added a guest anchor WC with ssid: guest-wireless. we need to auth guests also via ACS/Windows. guests are the same users as corp-wireless but corp for lan only and guest for internet only my prob is that ACS will map guests to vlan 80 because they are member of the domain, however guest users should not have any vlan. it is like if they are in DMZ. they will take ip address from the anchor WC.

This is the first time I am trying my hands on wireless gears. I have 2500 WLC and 1142 AP (which I converted from Standalone to LAP).I have a layer 3 POE switch where i am using port 1 for the WLC which is a trunk port.
Port 2 is for the AP using access vlan 111
Port 3 is trunk port going to a router where i am running dhcp server for the VLANs which are as follow:
VLAN 110 -Corp Wireless (10.1.110.0/24)
VLAN 111 - AP-Mgmt (10.1.111.0/24)
VLAN 999 - Guest (10.1.101.0/24)
I wanted to block the traffic from the Guest VLAN 999 but when i apply the ACL on the Guest Interface created on the WLC, I dont see any pings going across and neither I see any hit counts on the deny statement as if the ACL is never applied.

We have Wireless Setup and facing the latency issue for Wireless users , Wireless Controller is 2504 and AP are of 3600 Series .Even we stand below the AP , latency is in range of 19 to 20 ms , while client has Autonomous setup , so when he shifts the connectivity to Autonomous Setup he get latency is range 2 to 8 ms which is good then WLC setup...
While Testing We made the Single AP on which is integrated with WLC and check the Latency , but in these senario also it range from 19 to 20 ms ... ( Also sametime all Autonomous AP's were Off )
I am attaching the show techsupport to resolve the issue and tell me what fine tunning can be done to resolve the latency issue.

designing a wireless network for an apartment complex. The complex is shaped like like an rectangle, fairly small, maybe 100 feet on the ends and 300 feet long on the sides. There are 130 people that we are assuming may have about 3 devices each that they will connect to the wireless network, potentially simultaneously, as this is in a college environment. We have plenty of bandwidth and down/up speed. We are running 30 megabit down and 10 up. I am planning on having a router with two access points centrally located in an apartment and extending the network out with antennas in each direction from the access points with Omni directional antennas. The Access points that I am planning on using are Cisco WAP200 with maybe a Linksys router, as the router should not have more than 10 connections on it. I need something that will not crash after 10-15 users connect to it because it jams up from overload.

Have WLC 5508 running 7.4 code; have wlan setup to allow access to internal network. Users on ipads should be able to connect to this wlan and authenticated via certificate instead of PSK. We have setup laptops that are part of domain to use internal CA for authentication to WLAN. Ipads are not part of domain so we are not able to use the same model, or can we use the same model for authentication? How to setup WLC to authenticate ipad users via certificate instead of PSK while connecting to the WLAN?

access point and the limitation on the users connected to the SSID using a wireless lan controller. From the installation guide I see an incredible thing:
Supported User Count Only fifteen users are allowed to connect on the WLAN Controller WLANs provided on the 600 series at any one time. A sixteenth user cannot authenticate until one of the first clients de-authenticates or a timeout occurred on the controller. Note: This number is cumulative across the controller WLANs on the 600 series. For example, if two controller WLANs are configured and there are fifteen users on one of the WLANs, no users will be able to join the other WLAN on the 600 series at that time. This limit does not apply to the local private WLANs that the end user configures on the 600 series designed for personal use and clients connected on these private WLANs or on the wired ports do not affect these limits.
Is it possible a terrible limitation like this ?

I presently have a fiber internet connection to my office with about 40 wireless users on a single AP. The connection keeps dropping. Probably due to too many users on a single AP?
1. My question is similar to aniketchitale's, can get another wireless router, create a different SSID (eg. router1 and router2), but both wireless routers still connected to the same fiber connection. In other words, I would like to segregate the first 20 users to router 1 and the next 20 users to router 2.
2. By having 2 wireless routers each with their unique SSID, will all the users still be able to access to the same printer in the office?
