View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently configured CISCO 3310 box with MSE version 7.2. Services are up and running in the box, I could add the MSE to WCS and also able to track the location using WCS. However, I could not connect the third party software to MSE web services to get the location information there. When I hit the server url "https://<my mse>" I get list of possible services like:
Error 404 - Not Found.No service matched or handled this request.
Known services are:

I browsed through the documentation (CAS_71.pdf) and found a text saying:
Note Port 80 will be enabled on the MSE if the enable HTTP command was entered on MSE. Ports 8880 and 8843 will be closed on the MSE when the CA-issued certificates are installed on the MSE. I am running the test system so I do not really want to install CA signed certificate, so I used self signed certificate and restarted the server, but it did not work.
I'm trying to go on the company of heroes 2 forum but when i try and load the page i get an error message saying "Ruby on rails application could not be started". Is this a problem with the web page or is it on my end?

The word spare seems to imply that it comes with a set of rails. Does the ASA-5515-X come with rails and brackets, or must both of these be ordered?

I am getting a hard time in order to understand the real difference between the two types of context aware licenses for the MSE:
1 . AIR-CAS-1KC-K9 - Context Aware License For 1K Clients and Tags (RSSI based)
2. AIR-CAS-1KT-K9 - Context Aware License For 1K Tags(RSSI, Chokeponts and TDOA)
For a regular network without any devices with tags such as RFID, I understand I do not need to get the .2, only .1, even though the .1 also is shared with clients at 1K of each. Also, the .2 does not say clients, only tags and advanced features as TDOA. Going through the Q&A it does not clearly says the difference, when to use one or the other.
I am trying to upgrade an MSE from version 6 to 7.0.201.204. I am able to copy across all the files and have tried using WCS and FTP for the CISCO-MSE-L-K9-7-0-201-0-64bit.bin file but the installation procedure always fails.
I will download all the images again tonight. Is there a way to delete the images from the /opt/installers/ directory?
Also the upgrade procedure in the 7.0.201.204 is pretty bad, there is no detail in any of the steps.

I have a couple Dell R710 2U servers that came with the Dell quick rails. The rack I am trying to place them in is a 4-post open cabinet, but the depth of the posts are about an inch too short to allow the Dell quick rails to snap-lock to the square holes. Are there any 2U extenders I can attach to the back two posts of the cabinet to give the minimum length needed for the Dell quick rails to snap-lock? The extenders would also need to have the square holes.

I ran the msed stop and msed start commands. I got this message when it tried to load eth0.Bringing up interface eth0: e1000 device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.Earlier in the day I had updgraded the firmware from 6.0 to 7.0.230.0.

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I discovered the primary and secondary CAS were both in active state and reporting their fellow peer as dead (I did this using ./fostate.sh), causing authentication errors on the network. I had to stop the perfigo process on the primary one to restore service.
After closer investigation I have discovered that when I put my laptop on the same subnet as their eth2 interfaces (eth0, eth1 and serial are not used for heartbeat only eth2), I can ping the eth2 ip address for the primary device, but can't ping that of the secondary device. See configs and outputs below. I am also wondering why the secondary CAS shows its eth0 and eth1 interfaces as fake0 and fake1.

We'll be implementing Cisco NAC guest server for Guest Wireless users, ( Model #3310), the question is do we need to configure separate physical interface for User authentication requests( from Wireless ) and a separate Interface for Guest server to talk to AD for SSO?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to configure the NAC Profiler with a 3310 CAS Collector. In the "Edit Collector" menú, it shows all the modules as "Running", except for the NetWatch module which shows a state "Invalid configuration file (missingInternalAddress)".
I configured the eth3 interface of the CAS as a monitor interface in the Profiler (see attached image), and I tested that the SPANed traffic actually reaches that interface from the access switch. I'm using software version 3.1.0_24 in both the Profiler and the Collector.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a DSL modem with wireless networking, and I am trying to install a second wireless router for a separate network. The standalone wireless network has five laptops networked to a sixth laptop, in a server/client setup. To complicate things, I am plugging the server laptop into a LAN connection on the DSL modem. The server shows both the LAN connection with internet access, and the second wireless network without internet access. The client laptops just show the wireless network, without internet access.
This is exactly what I need - internet access for the server but no access for the five clients. I have each wireless router on a separate channel and only auto connect to the standalone wireless network. Is there anything I need to do to the setup of either of the routers to avoid problems?? The wireless network without internet access seems to be abnormally slow in response and I am wondering if there is any interference between networks. None of the laptops are accessing the DSL wireless network, but I still need that DSL wireless capability for other computers in the building.
We're installing a 4G wireless card (EHWIC-4G-LTE-V) in our 2911 for the first time. Upon boot-up, the IOS doesn't recognize the card (the "show inv" command doesn't list it at all). Do I need to give a command or have a certain IOS version in order for it to be recognized?

Situation: I have a store where there is already installed an AP1042N. In the back of the building there is no wireless signal. I want to install a second access point to extend my range;
Intalled a new router (Linksys Cloud 1200) yesterday. Immediately after that the 2 computers that were connected to the network could no longer access the internet. My laptop and my ipad can access the internet wirelessly. The laptop which was not connected to the network when I connected the router can access the network both wirelessly and wired. Printers attached to the network will print without a problem.Finally I took an old computer out of storage (running WinXP) and hooked it up to the wired network. It too has no problems accessing the network. So have to assume the issue is a software issue with the two computers that were hooked up to the network when I changed the router.I have read the posts here - I did a stack reset on one of the computers but no luck. I removed Norton 360 and Team Viewer which in other posts people said they had issues with...to no avail.
Since I dont have a wireless connection to the 2 computers that cannot access the internet - I cannot download TSG SysInfo. However here I did copy the ipconfig lines below from the desktop thats not responding. [code] Was working fine until I replaced the router. I tried going back to the oldrouter (Netgear) same issue - no wired internet connectivity.
I just got a new E4200 router and downloaded Cisco Connect from the web site...file name CiscoConnect.E4200.1.4.11160.2.exe. When I try to run it, I find through Task Manager that Setup.exe is using about 35 to 40% CPU, but I'm never even getting to anything on the screen, nor is Task Manager even showing it as a running application. I'm running Windows XP SP3 (latest updates). I tuned off the AVG virus scan. But it still just seems to hang. BTW, I used the web interface to fully configure the router and it works fine so I could get by without Cisco Connect, but it might just be easier to use.

I would like to install three antennas (2450S) on some AP1261 that i wold spread out 10 feet apart. I am not able to get the antenna on the C connector to transmit. I am not using 802.11N. This is for a warehouse where all the WiFi devices are 802.11G. My question is: can you get all three connectors on the AP to transmit.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have trouble accessing the internet from my laptop after installing Ciso AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 AP.The AP are connetected to my router (which has a DHCP enabled) via a switch and each has a Fix IP address with network mask, gateway and DNS already configured. When I triy to connect to the access point, only the IP address and network mask are automatically assigned to the my laptop. and I have to manually input the gatway and DNS to be able to navigate the internet. I would like to know which configuration will allow any node that tries to connect the internet via the access point to be automatically configured to access the internet after authentication.

But..then it just hangs there,and eventually leads to-driver was not sucessfully installed(that is when i plug it out,but i waited more than an hour before that)I tried uninstaling and updating the driver for it,but it didnt worked.When i tried to uninstal the driver,again it just hanged.That is untill i unpluged the adapter..I have manually downloaded the latest driver,and when i check in properties it says that device is working properly.

I wait on Dell and other vendors to start pumping out Win 8 certified hardware, I have been running the Win 8 CP on my ST slate since February. With the release of RP this weekend I readily upgraded. Now i was able to get all functionality working previuosly but am now running into an issue with the wireless/BT card driver. Seems Microsoft sees the BT part of the Dell 1535C mini card but will not allow the wireless driver to load.

My wireless has been working fine, but my room is quite far from the router, so I bought a signal-booster USB aerial made by Realtek (REALTEK 11n USB Wireless LAN Driver and Utility). It came with a small software CD too which I installed, and it worked fine for two days and boosted my wireless signal.However (you knew it was coming, the story can't stay happy) soon the red light on the USB booster stopped blinking and it showed the red 'x' where my wifi connections are. I couldn't get it to re-establish a connection without doing a full system restore and re-installing the USB signal booster, which would then work again for a short amount of time (maybe a day, maybe an hour). And worse, now when the USB booster is unplugged from the computer my laptop will not return to recognising wireless connections like it did before I installed the USB signal booster. It simply does not find any connections - the only time it does is directly after I have re-installed the software from the small disc which came with the Realtek USB signal booster.
I have now uninstalled the Software and anything made by Realtek but still it is finding no connections.Now I would just like to find a way to get back to where I started when my computer was finding all wireless connections like normal... a connection with a weak signal is better than this nightmare of constantly restoring my computer just to get a brief connection
