Cisco Wireless :: Power Injector For 1310 Bridge

View 1 Replieshow far apart an Aironet 1410 Bridge can be from the Power Injector (Dual Coax feeds). I just can't find the specification details. The device comes with a 20' and 50' F-type and I'm looking at 150' runs for both ends of the bridge pair.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI keep getting alerts from our WCS stating that our 1252s are drawing low power. Now I am aware that they require enhanced PoE (up to 20W) but as we only have standard PoE in that building we purchased the 1252 series power injectors to go with them.
However, even with the correct power injectors the WCS still reports the draws low power error.
Is this a bug? Running WCS 7.0.172 at the moment.
Forgot to say we are using the PWR-INJ4 and the injector status is enabled and you see the injector MAC address when you drill in to the AP status.
I need a power Injector compatible for WAP 4410N.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe are planning a wireless network using the 1602i APs. Some of our APs might or might not be within the 100m limit from the switches, so we'll be running them as repeaters instead. Right now, we are planning on buying power injectors for everything, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question:
If I'm running an AP as a repeater (no ethernet running back to a switch), can it still receive power from a power injector and a short ethernet run between the injector and the AP? Or will I need to use a power adapter?
Can I power the 1552e with the proper poe injector if I am not using the ethernet port for backhaul? I want to get power thru poe but use a fiber for backhaul.
View 4 Replies View RelatedContrary to the information contained in the link above, these two parts do not play well together. I purchased both and plugged them in and no go. It doesn't even light anything on the WAP. It worked fine when it was on its own 12V DC adapter but not plugged into this injector. What I don't understand is why Cisco doesn't just make a Universal power injector that is essentially a 1 port switch and is 802.3af or 802.3at compatible. Its maddening. It looks like I'm going to have to get an SD208P and waste 6 ports just to get one with the correct POE for the WAP4410.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed an Aironet 1130AG and utilized a power injector for the power source. I have the settings configured correctly in IOS, but the AP takes about 7 minutes to come on (illuminate LED status lights) once the Ethernet cable is connected. Is this 7 minute power-on delay normal when using POE? I am used to the instanteous "on" that usually comes with Cisco products being connected directly to the AC adapter.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to make a bridge using a 1242 and a 1310? I have been able to get them to associate together and it appears it will function as a bridge. I have the 12(4) 253 JA IOS for both devices. I would like to use the g antenna on the 1242 for the bridge and the a antenna for wireless clients. The configuration on the web management appears to support bridge root and non root for both devices.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn bridged network environment. We have a pair of Cisco 1310 bridges configued betweeen 2 buildings the config on each is simple one as a root bridge the other as non root no spanning tree is running and source route learning is turned off. We had both on in the past. One side of the network has a link out to the internet. About 3 -4 times a day the IP address on the default gateway becomes unreachable i.e cant be pinged. Only a reboot of one or other of the bridges corrects the issue. This happens only during the day when the netwrok is in use. When this happens everything inside the network works fine and everybody can see everybody else. The ISP can see intot eh network and can ping our devices but we cannot see out of the network.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI have installed 2 Cisco 1310's, connecting two buildings that are about 1000 yards apart. One access point is connected to an existing 3560 24 port switch, the other access point has a new 3560 24 port switch connected to it. Also installed 4 1240 access point in the newly connected building to the new switch. Issue is my router and existing switches can not ping any devices on the other side of the bridge. They can ping both access points that make the bridge. I consoled the new switch and could ping the existing switches and router, after doing that the other switches and router are now able to ping the new switch. Now my main issue is I have a user using a 7921 phone connected to one of the new 1242's, when he makes a call to a person in the first building they can hear him, however he can not hear them. Our call manager is in another state were I am located. I can call him and vise versa, and we can hear each other. I have went over my configs server times, and doubled check my IOS versions to make sure they are up to date. I will be glad to provide configs upon request.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe RG-59 coax cables that come with the 1310 bridge are only 1 foot long. where I could get longer cables as the power injector is quite a distance away because there are no close power sockets. Instead of installing new power sockets near to the bridge, we wanted to simply run longer coax cables.

Apart from the specific configuration on the wireless bridge is any extra configuration required on the Switch interfaces?
I have a pair of Aironet 1310's I am needing to bridge. I have used the CLI to configure the BVI1 with the ip address and verified it. I then tried to access the GUI to configure the device via Internet Explorer and it would not provide access. I read that it had to be older versions of IE but my OS will not support older versions. I then downloaded Netsace Navigator 7.01 as indicated, but still did not get access.
Then I thought maybe if I can access the GUIvia the IPSU tool but I have Googled the Cisco IPSU and cannot find a downloadable link.
Can I associate the non-root bridge model 1310 to the root bridge model 1400? Is there any problems on the configuration I need to be aware of?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe are looking at purchasing two of the WAP4410n Access Points to add wireless in one building, and possibly replace Wireless G in another. In our building already configured, we have POEs set up and this has worked to centralize everything that has to be monitored. We would like to do the something with the WAP4410n. With the access points we already have, they are Pre POE so there was only one device that would work. With These they are standard POE, Does that mean I can use any POE Injector that is using this standard?
Also, are problems that first existed these access points being worked out or been fixed? I want these to be minimal attention required since I am the IT person here and I don't work in this building, I work in the other building which is walking distance but I do want to avoid problems if possible.
Can the WAP4410N accept a 48 VDC input from an IEEE 802.3af POE injector or is a splitter required on the AP end to drop the 48 VDC to 12 VDC and utilize the DC input connector on the back of the AP? I would prefer to use only the injector at the switch if the AP can accept the 48 VDC at the ethernet port.

%CDP_PD-2-POWER_LOW: All radios disabled - NEGOTIATED WS-C6509 <Switchport MAC Add>
The Module in the 6500 is a WS-X6348-RJ-45 The Option "Power Injector installed" on the WLC is also enabled, with the MAC Address from the Switchport, but no change. When i disable CDP on the mentioned Switch Port and reload the AP, it comes up and runs fine.
I bought 2 WAP4410N wireless routers but it did not come with a PoE injector. We do not have a PoE capable switch. I have a couple of 3COM PoE injectors but am concerned about differing PoE standards could cause the 3Com PoE injector to damage the WAP4410N.
I cannot find a PoE injector on the Cisco website. What is the Cisco part number for a PoE injector for the Cisco WAP4410N or provide assurances about the 3COM PoE that I have for the 3COM 3CRWER100-75 access points?
