I need to take the backup of configuration file for WLAN Controller 4420, I tried all the possibilities given in the documentation but the backup fails, I have main confusion with the file name to be backedup, i am not able to findout the configuration filename any where even when i use CLI?

Due to some reasons, I understood that other existing wireless infrastructure runs on firmware 6.0, and hance i need to downgrade the 5500 series to 6.0 . During the bootup, i could see there is another image called backup recovery image, which is running on version 6.0. How can i reboot controller to use the older image , which is from backup recovery image. I couldnt find it in the configuration guide.

All devices conflict with the ip address of IP address 0.0.0.0 with mac address 00-00-00-00-00-00.
All devices event viewer has this TCP error: “The system detected an address conflict for IP address 0.0.0.0 with the system having network hardware address 00-00-00-00-00-00. Network operations on this system may be disrupted as a result.” We previously experienced the same ip conflict with 12000 w LAN network that he had used as proof of concept.
what seems to be a common issue/query regarding getting AppleTV to work via the Wireless Lan Controller.We are running WCS 7.0.172.0, our WISM controllers are on software version 7.0.116.0 and our APs are a mixture of 1140 and 1142s with both 11a/n and 11b/g enabled.
What we are finding is that we are able to stream to the AppleTV box when connected to the LAN and both devices are on the same subnet.however, as soon as we go onto the WLAN ( both devices on the same subnet ) , the end device can no longer see the AppleTV box to stream too.

I have home network with my Linksys E-4200.
My HP Microserver (Ubuntu +Samba+Apache) is connected via LAN. I have notebook (Windows 7). To my server (FILE+WEB) I have access only when I connected via LAN cable. In windows 7 i see my server and have access to the files. Webserver works also properly: access with the name of the server in web browser.
But by WiFI connection, there is no access ! The server has the reserved local IP-address, like 192.168.1.200.
What should I do to solve it? By typing "192.168.1.200" i see the localhost page, but nothing more!
I have Cisco 5508 Wlan Controller Software version 7.2.103.0 and I have Cisco AIR-CAP3602I-E-K9 Lightweight Access Points network and its working fine now I want to configure the Repeater in this network. Because there is one area we cannot layout the cable. How to add the repeater and how to configure the repeater in wlan controller network.
Do i need the change the software of Wlan Controller to support Mesh Network or this version 7.2.103.0 can support the repeater because for 1 access point i dont want to upgrade the version.
I've got a couple new 5508 controllers to replace my 4404's. Im wondering though if I throw them on the network to setup, will there be any conflict with the current access points? Will they try and join the new controllers for any reason automatically? Is there a better way, or a best practice to provision these new controllers?
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust bought two new LAP1041N APs to add to a dead spot on our campus. Well when trying to set them up the will not stay connected to the WLAN Controller (model 4402). The new APs boot fine, and will even appear in the controller for brief moments, but after a few seconds they dissapear and start showing the discovery status light pattern (green, red, amber). Just wondering if I am doing something wrong with these APs, or what the issue could possible be.We have 10 other APs that as soon as we connected to network were detected by controller and we configured from there. Most of those are 1010 or 1020s, we have a few 1131s and 1100s.

We had our wireless mesh network running with 4400 Controller and 1510 A.Ps. Now that we have bought new 5508 Controller (with SW: 7.2) and 3600 Indoor APs, we are unable to add legacy APs on our new controller. After a wild googling I have found that for 1510 APs i need to be on SW ver: 4.0. But that will lead into another situation i-e I wont be able to have my 3600 APs on WLAN Controller.

Loading backup image (Image not found)

And it is taking me to the BootMenu. I selected option 4 to Clear Configuration and the controller seems to restart the system but I still get the same error. I checked the LEDs status and Sys is Amber and Alarm is OFF which according to the documentation is a System Crash.
I have a customer whom has six LAP1131AG-K9 but no controller and they are interested in one of the new 2500 series, specifically a AIR-CT2504-5-K9 with a 5 AP add-on license to bring total AP capacity to 10. I can't determine clearly if this controller will work for these older AP's prior to them making the jump to 802.11n via the 3500 or 3600 series, looking to the community to confirm.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Studio 1537 running on Windows Vista? my computer stopped being able to connect to the internet a few days ago and a "Dell Wireless WLAN Controller closed and stopped working" (or something along those lines) box would keep on popping up. I did some reading around on the internet and decided that maybe I needed to update the "drivers" for it so I went to the Dell website and downloaded the most recent version for my Dell Wireless 1510 WLAN mini card...that didn't seem to work any after I installed it. So I went ahead and uninstalled it (I assume I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have) and now I'm stuck at the same problem. I can't connect to the internet!In Network Connections, it continually says that "Windows cannot find any networks". In Device Manager, under Network Adapters, it doesn't list the card there, although it lists "Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet". And from some suggestions I found on the net, I tried ipconfig/all in the comand promt and it says "media disconnected".
