I have some connection trouble with AIR-AP1141N-A-K9.I put a IP camera in my home and connect to AIR-AP1141N-A-K9 via wireless.After a while about 1 week, the wireless will be dissociated.

The environment: 20 X air-ap1141N-A-K9 (these are standalone) in three different buildings with either 1 or 2 units per floor depending on sq. footage. IOS is c1140-k9w7-tar.124-25d.JA1.
Problem Users running various tpyes of wireless cards on windows XP SP3 get disconnected periodically throughout the day whether they roam or not. This disconnect problem started happening after we replaced older 1200 series units running wpa and tkip and replaced with 1141n running wpa2 with aes. Users running windows 7 do not get disconnected. However there are very few W7 users on campus as this point in time.
I set up a single test unit shown below and associated two laptops to see if they would disconnect. Not once did I lose connectivity. I've just bought an access point AP1141N for my small business but unfortunately there is only Radio 0- 2.4G available through web interface. It is working fine but I would like to have access to radio 1 (5Ghz) as well.

I'm using access point AIR-AP1141N-E-K9 and want to use Multi SSID. Based on Cisco document, when I config Multi SSID in access point, each SSID have a separate VLAN, is it a must have ? Can I use multi SSID without VLAN ?

I just purchased the AP1141N and I have created a logon account to access the device via URL which works fine but after 10 minutes it logs me out and requires that I log back on. Unfortunately it won't allow me to log back on unless I reset the device then I have another 10 minutes before it asks me to login again but then it won't accept my logon again without a reset.
I can logon with my account via the console logon but I don't know how to configure the access point via command line so I use the web interface. I have disabled the timing for security but didn't work.

I recently reformatted my laptop to get rid of Vista and now run XP. Stupidly, I didn't know what I was doing 100% and now can't connect to a wireless network. I've looked at guides on how to with XP and it is saying to do it through Network Connections. I have no wireless sections in my NC, so it's basically like XP doesn't realise I've got wireless capabilities.I have installed all of the drivers that there are, multiple times. If I press the wireless button, the window with the Bluetooth, WLAN and UMTS still comes up.

we have an issue with user who says that he is unable to connect to AP and he need to re-boot it everytime to re-connect to it.But when i check from WLC all the AP uptime is more than 150 days and the AP associate time of respective AP's is also more than 150 days.we are using cisco AIR-CT2504-K9 wlc and all the AP's are connected to Cisco 3750X and cisco4510R+E. Since successfully restoring my laptop to factory settings I have been unable to connect using my Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.Initially it worked, but after a while it stopped. I have completed several system restores, and the wireless connection works for a few days. On the last occasion (after installing windows updates) I received the dreaded blue screen and have been unable to connect.I am not sure if it is related to installing new windows updates as prior to restoring to factory settings I had no issues with my wireless connection.I am able to connect using the ethernet cable and I am currently able to connect using Pluscom wireless usb adapter. I recently used my dad's Acer Aspire 5040 and saw that he was using xp service pack 2. I thought i'd do him a good turn by putting service pack 3 on and now i can't get it to connect to the wireless router.At first it was saying "you are connected to this network" in the list, but still saying "Not connected" in the top right.I thought it may need updated drivers so I have installed everything from the Acer site, including the Atheros Client Utility.
Now, when i use the auto settings it defaults to the ip 169.254.161.135 with the default gateway the same, but my router gateway is 10.1.1.1. so it says it has limited or no connectivity.I try to change the settings manually and everything goes green and says connected but it still wont access the internet or ping the other computers.I have tried resetting the router as I thought it may have been that not resolving DNS addresses but my netbook is connecting to it fine.

I've recently reinstalled a fresh windows xp operating system onto an old laptop. I've been through some trouble getting the drivers installed, but now I've finally completed that.[URL] I cannot connect to my home's WEP secured wireless network to which I have the password. After I followed the steps detailed in the link, instead of saying "detecting network type," the loading bar says "waiting for the network..." and after about 30 seconds, it disappears and nothing happens.I can connect to my router by directly connecting it with an Ethernet cord without a problem. And I know that the laptop is capable of connecting to a wireless network. I was able to connect to a nearby neighbors unsecured wifi, however it was with a very slow connection due to the distance and weak signal. It will just not connect to my own.

So, my computer was having some serious issues, but the internet worked just fine. Me and a friend live in the same building and we're sharing a wireless connection and splitting the cost. I had to reformat my computer (it was windows XP SP3), but when I reinstalled windows it's SP2. I installed the wireless drivers and such, and those work great. However, I try to connect to the network 'Cay13' which is the one I'm sharing with my friend but it won't connect. It will just keep saying 'waiting for the network 'cay13' to connect to the network'. It won't come up with an error, it will just stop and refresh the wireless networks. I will then get a bubble that says 'Unable to connect to preferred wireless networks., Windows will keep trying.' etc... My friend's computer connects just fine so it doesn't seem like it's the router, and I've tried every which way from sunday to configure, connect, uninstall/reinstall the wireless drivers, etc.

My son's laptop suddenly stopped being able to connect to the internet via wireless. I can see it okay but just unable to connect. I've checked the drivers and they are up to date. It shows on my network when wired and I've checked with the virus software and I can see no reason for it to be blocked.

i cannot connect to a certain wireless network. The router can take upto 4 laptops and this one will be the third so itis not a question of to many.All the other laptops can conect to the router when the pass key is put in but this computer will not. This computer will connect to other networks but not the one at home. When i put the pass key that it asks into the computer it says that it is not the right one. What am i doing wrong or is there something missing from the computer. Not very experienced at this so be patient and spell it out in laymen terms

I bought a brand new psp today and was trying for last 2 hours to connect it to my wireless network but each time it display an error code 8041160B. I called my internet service provide and we changed the WEP key but i am still getting the same error code. One weired thing I noticed that psp shows only 8 digit WEP key while my key is 10 digit. I don't know why psp doesn't show the 10 digit key. Also, the same issue happend 6 months ago and i was told psp network is closed as people ids have been stolen so i returned my psp and it seems i will have to return it again.

I am able to connect 3 computers to the network. When I enter the passkey in the HP printer, the network goes down and I need to restart it. Then computers are back on, but the printer cannot be seen. The printer driver is downloaded.

I am using a netgear wgr614 router and the laptop I'm trying to use won't connect. It shows up as available but 'Windows was unable to connect to NETGEAR' pops up. Futher troubleshooting brings up "Investigate router or access point issues" but turning off the router did not fix the problem.

i have a laptop and a desktop, everything was working fine until i messed with something in the router settings by accident, i changed some type of security setting and then changed it back because i was testing something.. at this point i had to remake the network for some reason, whcih was no problem i put in the pin and security code and i was able to connect through my desktop with no problem.. a few hours later i realized my laptop could no longer connect.. i recieved the unable to connect error.. i read that it could be the security settings, so i assumed i switched something before by accident and i restored to factory defaults...
after i did this my laptop could connect to the internet but my desktop couldnt connect! so it basically reversed itself.. i dunno what could be the problem.. i tried 2 of the 3 authentication modes because i am afraid if i try the 3rd i will lose internet completely then i will have no clue what to do..

Have a Dell Inspiron 9100 w/ Windows XP. Dowloaded "owners manual" prior to problem. Rather computer illiterate, but homebound after cancer treatment & computer is my LIFELINE ! After painstakingly following step by step troubleshooting guide from Windows AND Dell owner guide, came up w/ "video card disabled". Have a DSL modem from tele. co. & husbands pc does great, but my laptop won't connect to browser via wireless or if I plug it into modem....???

I have a Cisco Linksys router that I have been using for about 6 weeks just fine with Windows Vista on an Acer Laptop. We had some power outages (about 3, less than 30mins each) and the internet was down for nearly 48 hours early this week. Now that it is up, I was able to connect to my router for a few hours. When I shut my laptop off and about 2 hours later tried to access the web again, I found that I couldn't unless I hardwired from the modem.I've done the windows repair network connection and the Cisco Network Magic fix- (It says things like flushing DNS cache while doing its thing). Both say my network key is wrong. No one else in the house could have changed it, I was the only one home.I've power cycled both the router and modem. I've turned my laptop off and rebooted. I used the manufacturers settings to try to go in and see what happened. I can't type the router's direct IP and get into like it says I should in Firefox.
The one thing I've noticed is that prior to the outage- my router had a "name" that I named it, while now it's back to linksys_numbers_letters. However, I was still able to connect after the outage at the beginning.

i have 2 laptops (1. Dell 2. IBM) and both of them worked wirelessly with BT until last month when I switched to talktalk. Dell s laptop now works wirelessly but the IBM isnt working either wired/wiressly. When I connect the IBM laptop to the modem through the cable my Dell laptop stops working too, looses the wireless configuration too and in order to make it work again I have to plug it back to the modem andafterwards going wirelessly. I spoke to talktalk support and they confirmed that the line works fine therefore there is a problem with the IBM laptop which also causes problems to the DellLaptop.I domt know from where to start to get the laptops working again fine at the same time.

I have not been able to connect to the wireless connection. I have had some trouble with this in the past when booting up, but usually I can manually select our wireless network on my own and it works fine. But since last week, I have not been able to connect at all. On the Wireless Connection Status, it showed Limited or No connectivity. I tried the repair button in the Wireless Network Connection Status Support tab, and that told me that I cannot connect because I could not renew my IP address.I have tried a few different things, such as doing an ipconfig /release and /renew. Schools coming up, and itd be nice to have internet access on the laptop as well as our desktop.

I have 2 PCs in my home both running windows 7. My PC is directly receiving internet (10mb/s broadband). I have tried a few times to set up wireless for my mother who has her PC in the other room. I have just purchased a new laptop (HP Pavilion G series) for my studies at university. The wirless works fine when I am connect to my network at home, but I am only able to connect to the university's network when an ethernet cable is plugged in. Everybody else I know, who has a similar setup to myself has no problems connecting to the network without the ethernet cable and I was curious as to why this might be.
I am running on Windows 7 and the wifi adapter is a Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n
As I say I am quite a rookie when it comes to computers
