I have installed LMS 3.2 on a Win Server 2008, with 160 GB HDD. But it seems that it is running out of space after some times.So actually we managed to add another server, with a HDD of 500 GB capacity, and maped this HDD as a network drive.Now my question is: is it possible to enable LMS to automatically save all syslogs and collected data from the actual 160 GB HDD, to the new one 500 GB HDD?

Do you know if is it possible or not and, if yes, how to configure it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have setup about 16 devices to syslog to LMS4.1 Vmware eval... but I am not recieving any messages at all. I know these devices are generating syslogs to another system but lms doesn't show anything under monitoring / syslog_info.
Is there anything special I need to do to setup LMS4.1 to receive syslog's sent directly to its IP. .e.g. not using an external syslog server but using LMS.
I would like to create custom reports using the Report Designer (Reports -> Report Designer -> Syslog) and filter certain syslogs from being seen when I run the report like permitted ACL entries, 802.1x successful authentications. It seems like there is only the option of displaying what you want to see, not what you don't want to see.

Currently the firewall is setup for just the one syslog device. If I add an additional device ie further IP in the config for the Loglogic box will there be any noticeable differences in the performance of the firewall, does affect the cpu utilisation, or memory in any way.

The unusual part is that this does not affect all users - I have two users with the same CiscoWorks rights, but only one can save map changes. The admin user is one that can't save map changes. I'm running LMS 2.2 on Solaris 2.8. The problem existed before and after I upgraded to Campus Manager IDU 11, and stopping and starting services hasn't worked.

For whatever reason, I can't get my 3550 to save the 115500 baud rate. I power on the switch, hold the mode button, at the switch: prompt I type 'set BAUD 115200' followed by a reset. I power the cycle the switch once more, yet it still holds at 9600. I did the same process on my 3560's and it worked like a charm.

How do you save the command output from the CLI to a file on flash?
With IOS, I would normally use a pipe command to redirect to tftp, but the ASA doesn't support this as far as I can tell. As a work around I was thinking I could save the output to flash and then tftp that file off the ASA.
I have a 3750 stack of 4 switches that was installed about 2 years ago. Recently I was doing some work on the switch and realized that I am unable to save the config. I amobviously concerned that if the power fails or the switch reboots I will be reconfiguring it and that is not something I am interested in doing!

Does the power save feature of the SG 102-24 can be disabled somehow ? Our college just purchased 24 of these switches. We are having a problem with the switches affecting some of our monitoring software (Vision from Nettop).Basically, the client pc's become invisible to the master station. I believe this is due to the ports doing an automatic shutoff.I know these switches are unmanaged, but I'm hoping they at least have some form of configurability. Right now our only option is to have an instructor cycle the power of the switch to get the client pc's visible again.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI deleted the flash from an ASA5510. I was able to tftp a version back into the device, but cannot seem to correctly have the box boot from this flash. I get the following error:

I have tried every save syntax i can think of to save this flash, but have yet to have it boot with an image ( I keep booting into ROMMON and have to tftp the image back in)
I have 2 Air-Lap1242 that wont save their config after reboot. They are managed by a WLC (4404) and it all seems pretty fine and dandy, but when i reboot them, they dont want to save anything.I am setting them up as bridges (mesh), and it works until i reboot them, then I have to do it all over again.Using CLI to type in "write mem" or "copy running-config startup-config" only results in.
