View 2 Replies View Relatedjust bought DCS-930L few days ago, the manual sounds so easy (but it's hard than it looks) i stuck on the setting-up, here is my problem: unable to connect to mydlink web site and there was a problem saving my settings. seems like internet connecting problem, the software just couldn't connect to internet.i have already registered, i got my device number and it couldn't be find in my device on mydlink.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI upgraded the firmware per one suggestion, but no difference.I am going thru the setup wizard with ethernet cable attached. I want to use them wirelessly so I clicked wireless setup, and entered my network info. At that point I get an error message saying it failed to save settings. I know the ID and password are correct.I have tried exiting the setup wizard and accessing the camera thru the web interface. All wireless settings are correct. The camera works FINE on web browser, myDlink, and even my iPhone app as long as the ethernet cable is attached.Other wireless devices have no trouble connecting to my router. Is there some setting on the router that can be preventing the connection? I've done some trial-and-error changes, like different ports and enabling/disabling UpNp on both camera and router.Oh and almost forgot to mention.I did call tech support, which was a joke. Some foreign lady was reading off a script that told me to reset, unplug, reboot everything. Then she gave me a case# and said upgrade the firmware.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm just trying to port forward with this router, and after I'm done entering all my settings, I click save settings, it tells me settings are successful.
But the it goes back to the port forwarding page and all the stuff is at default again as if I didn't make any changes. What the hell is this?
I'm sure it's just a little something I don't know about that's making it not save any changes to port forwarding.
i am trying to port forward my router so that i can run a minecraft server. When I put in th port number and save the changes, it brings me to a screen that says my changes have been saved yet when i go back to the page they haven't. I have tried deleting the cookies on my browser, using another browser, using another computer, and hard resetting the router for ten seconds. None of this works.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI did read the thread entitled ''WRT160N Can't save settings'', but I believe this might be different. My router is actually communicating with my computer (physically plugged in), since I can save all other settings EXCEPT the port-fowarding ones.I am trying to save settings for a gaming application in the Single Port Forwarding section of my router settings. After clicking both ''save settings'' and ''continue'', it simply returns to the Single Port Forwarding section, except everything is blank, as though nothing was saved.
Here are my specs:
WRT160Nv1
Firmware Version: v3.0.03
Here are the steps I have already undertaken:
1- Erase browser cache and cookies
2- Updated to latest firmware (v3.0.03), 10-second reset button, 20-second power cycle.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed my new E4200, and am setting the Access Restrictions. Is there anyway to block the popup window that displays every time I enter the form or save the settings?
I'm using IE9 and have tried adjusting the Popup Blocker, but to no avail.
Nothing happens when clicking the SAVE button after making changes on the VLAN Membership screen when using IE9, but it work fine with IE8. Any problems using IE9 during configuration?

I have successfully connected to my ISP with the 3G USB dongle. But it seems like the PIN code is not saved. I have to enter it after a reboot of the router.
For some reasons, my internet connection keeps dropping more often recently. My laptop still says it is connected to my network but I can just not have internet connection. It was not like that before but it happened more frequently now. What I did was to power off then on the modem and the router and everything will work fine again. I want to upgrade my firmware but I just wonder if I need to save all the configuration before doing the upgrading? If so, then how can I set it back to the old configuration that was saved?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the DIR-655 (H/w Ver B1, F/W Ver 2.05NA) set up as router on my network (TWC/RR - modem is Motorola SURFBoard 6121 - modem only, no router or other services provided). I have configured the router sufficiently to allow all computers on the local network to access the Internet, and have configured the DHCP server on the router to provide IP addresses to the local network. I have configured the router to provide the DNS addresses for my local DNS resolvers (so that I can provide DNS resolution for an "internal" domain). Configuration specifics available on request, but everything mentioned so far is working satisfactorily, at least so far.
So, my question: The "Local Domain Name" setting on the router, as indicated in the documentation, provides a connection-specific domain name when DHCP supplies an IP address to the local system. This setting, however, is overridden if the ISP provides a domain name when it assigns an IP to the WAN connection. I have verified by experiment that this is true (no matter what I put in the Local Domain Name field - whether a valid domain, or blank - the local machines receive the domain name supplied by the ISP.I wish to modify this behavior. I wish to have the router provide the domain name specified in the Local Domain Name field *regardless* of what the ISP provides.
I just purchased a 100M fiber line to go with a brand new D-Link DIR-655 router. Before plugging in the router, I tested on my laptop directly from the modem and had great result speeds of 98M/97M. I connected the router, then plugged my laptop to find I was only getting speeds of about 10M/6M. This was true for both wired and wireless connections.
I took a look at the router settings. I turned off QoS, but that didn't work. One thing I did see was the WAN was set to auto. I attempted to change that to 100mbps or to 1000mpbs. However, when I did that my modem light that shows a 100M connection is active turned off and I couldn't get internet. I was only able to get a connection if I left that on auto. Is there a setting somewhere that is limiting my bandwidth from the router?I reset the router twice and checked to find I had the latest firmware. Is there something that I am missing? I have always been a Linksys fan, but wanted to see how D-Link is.
I have been trying for days to get a HP Photosmart Plus B209a wireless printer to work with my D-Link DIR-655.Going through the HP setup cd for I get to the section where it wants to hookup a usb cable to get router settings and finds my network and then I put in the password. Then after looking for a bit it says it can't find the printer.Looking at the wireless status page it says the ip address is 0.0.0.0.Reading on HP's website it says that you must have the router set to broadcast the SSID, I believe mine is set to hide. How would I go about changing it to broadcast AND would it mess up all my other settings changing it to Broadcast, meaning will I have to reconfigure the other computers again? Do I use the set up wizard to edit things or is that for first time set up ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI now have a tp link td w8951nd.
The problem is, I wanted to log into the router to reconfigure some of the settings and to see if I have the option of using a VPN, only the router will not let me connect. I pinged the router and established that the installation engineer had changed the default LAN ip but whenever I try to navigate to this ip address by. Browser (Firefox) says unable to connect.I have tried a wired connection and rebooting procedures.
None of the port forwarding settings are working at all on my router. I have just a couple very simple settings. One of them is just an IP camera. I input the name, the TCP port, the computer (IP address) and that's it. This works just fine with my other Netgear router, but with this router, NADA. The router has the latest version of the firmware applied. Just applied it. Hardware version B. Firmware version: 2.10NA. If so, then I really need my money back since it is a main function of a router and it should work. Can't return it now, since I bought it several months ago. Never knew port forwarding didn't work because I never needed it until now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy computer is an XPS 360 with alot of upgrades. After looking at the specs of D-links routers I thought I give it a try. Hooked up, works like a dream. Couple months later my computer was saying I have "limited connectivity." All of the other computers have full access and works great. I tried going to my routers home page, but all I get is "The server at 192.168.0.1 is taking too long to respond." Ive tried renewing the ipconfig, restarting everything, new cables....everything I can imagine. I tried calling my ISP and they told me it wasnt there fault, that its pretty much on my end. I called Dell for support, said my warranty went out and they cant do a thing.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a broadband connection and recently I bought a new D-Link wireless router for accessing internet on my Android phone via Wi-Fi. Router model no. is N 150 DIR-524.After configuring it was working fine for a week or so and then one fine day internet stopped working on my PC and router LED for internet was not glowing as well. So I called my ISP and they changed my ethernet card settings (nVidia). They changed the 'Speed/duplex settings' from 'Auto Negotiation' to '10 Mb Half Duplex' and then the internet started working. During this they had disconnected my router. Once they were gone, I reset the router and connected it back. Since then it ain't working Internet works fine when the cable is plugged directly in the ethernet card but doesn't work when plugged via router. Router does everything right from opening the '192.168.0.1' page to saving the settings. But there's no internet access.

I'm using the router TL-WR2543ND, I have pesonally configured the router myself, I'm no that good in computer but I managed to do so. I never had difficulty doing it. I have decided to switch to Smartbro Wimax and tried to connect it to my tp-link router but no luck. I browsed the net for possible instructions to do it but just frustrates me. I have changed the IP address of the router to avoid conflict, cloned the MAC address, still unable to connect the router.

all my systems are configured under "IP & MAC Binding". Binding is activated globally and all check marks for every ID are set. After i finished my configurations, the "ARP List" status shows, that everything is bound - so far everything is great. The problem appears after a router reboot or after shutting the router down and powering it on again. The "ARP List" then shows only a few of my IDs and their status is unbound. I need to go back to the "Binding Settings" and hit "Save" - after that all my IDs appear in the ARP-List and everything is OK again.
I only have access to 1 pc and 1 router/switch.I know how to make the pc a tftp server with a tftp server program, which i can then upload my router config to.I now do not have access to that tftp program anymore and am trying to find another way to save the router config(not to nvram on the actual router but to my local pc).I have heard of peopel doing it with putty saving the log onto a file but how would you load that log??
