Have an Inspiron 1150 laptop & have excellent wireless connection. Can receive email but IE will not connect. It connected fine in the past but I upgraded files and now it will not. I went to IE 8 but managed to remove it back to IE 6 but still no connection.

When I tell the tv to connect to the internet it turns off the receive, send and online lights on my Motorola SBG900 router. Sometimes,however it does connect, but this happens very rarely. I checked to see if it was a problem with the firewall settings but we have the firewall switched off in the router. Despite the fact that it shows an active wireless internet connection, I cannot get web pages to open. I have tried both IE and Firefox with no luck. I have tried many different websites including microsoft, msn, google and yahoo and none have connected. Other devices connected to the same wireless network include a laptop running XP, a MacBook pro, an iPhone, an iPad, and several android smart phones and all have been functioning without issue. An XP desktop is also connected to the router with an ethernet cable with no issues. This laptop is the only device running Windows 7.
When I run the windows network diagnostics tool I get the message "Problem found The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". I have pretty much the EXACT same issue. Revo 3700, Sky Unlimited Broadband, and a bunch of laptops and phones that can connect to the internet anywhere in the house without a probleI had the Revo connect all day last Friday (for the first time), prior to that it had connected a hand full of times, but only a very slow connection. For the last 4 days it hasn't connected at all, but says the signal strenth is 4 or 5 bars. I'm typing this from right next to the Revo on my laptop without any issue.

Well I didnt complete the installation and set up because I forgot to write down the registration key #. Ever since then I have had a terrible time getting my network reconfigured and have tried everything with Verizon network support over the phone. I am now unable to get a valid Ip address or default gateway with either my Wireless or my LAN connections. I have done all types of troubleshooting, resetting netgear router, modem, ip config /reset /renew,netsh winsock reset catalog commands and etc . . . STILL NOTHING WORKS ! I have another machine that is a mac book on my home wirless network that connects just fine, the only problem is my machine. I recently purchased a new Dlink DIR-655 router. My motivation was a router with a USB port. I initially purchased a DIR-632. I have 1 desktop without a wireless card so it connects to router thru ethernet cable. I have 2 personal laptops with wireless cards and 1 work computer also with wireless card. With the DIR-632 all computers would connect to router, but my work computer (Dell) would connect but then intermittenly show no internet connection. All other computers had no issues connecting to internet ( wired and wireless) The Dell would connect and have internet connection if I used a wired connection. After talking to DLink Tech support they said that i had an issue with the Dell. I called Dell and they walked me thru several things. Nothing worked. They ultimately sent in a tech who replaced wireless adapter and did a diagnosis before leaving and the Dell was deemed to be in perfect working order. I tried connecting again after Dell's repairs and same issue. DlinK Tech support then said the issue was with router and suggested replacing router. Went back to place of purchase and obtained the DIR-655. Got home and exactly the same issue. Again on the horn with Tech support and issue was determined to be bad router. Went back to place of purchase and got another DIR-655. Got home tried new router same issue. Spent in excess of 4 hrs on the phone with level 3 tech support. We tried many, many possible fixes and it appeared as if we had the problem fixed, but within a hour of hanging up with tech support the issue was unchanged.
As the Dell is a work computer I use it a multiple locations, some with no issues connecting wirelessly and one location the same issue as at my home (interestingly enough this location uses a DIR-655). At this 1 work location it says I'm connected, it says there is internet access, but I cannot do anything on the internet.(I can connect without issue with an ethernet connection) At my home location I can connect to the DIR-655 wirelessly, it initially shows internet access and I might be able to access a single webpage, but then it states no internet connection, but it is still connected to the DIR-655.
My initial DIR-615 and the Dell works perfectly fine. However that defeats the purpose of me buying the DIR-655. Ideally I want only the DIR-655 with all computers connecting thru it.
The ISP is a satellite connection. The modem is a Hughes HN9000. By spending 4 hours online with tech support we have changed the channel used, specified specific DNS locations, IP addresses, renewed DHCP, you name we have probably tried it.
The Dell for some reason just does not like the DIR-655, as it connects to the DIR-615 and 1 other work location router, but it will not connect at my home or other work locations (both DIR-655 routers).
I bought this router a couple of months ago and it was working fine until this morning. I tried to use the internet and there was no connection at all (wired or wireless). I tried power cycling but that didn't work. I finally decided to call my DSL provider and we changed the setup from the router connecting to PPPOE to the modem connecting to PPPOE. Now, my two computers (wired) can access the internet but all my wireless devices (Android and BB) connect to the SSID (unique) but can't actually access the net.I called DLink but they decided to stop assisting me once I told them that my computers could connect but not the wireless devices. They said I need to call the manufacturers of my wireless devices - I really doubt that all 4 of my wireless devices are faulty.

I have been using the wireless internet connection via my BT broadband package for months, everything OK, then suddenly the laptop can no longer connect to the internet.
All the diagnostic tools say everything is OK but the broadband modem is having problems. The other laptops on the home WiFi network can all access the internet fine, so the BT broadband IS working, so it must be the DELL Laptop, right?
The laptop keeps telling me to reset the modem, which I have done, but to no avail...it is still working with theother laptops, so this can't be the problem.
Running an asus WL-520gu router with flashed with DD-WRT. Just got a new DSL modem and now I can connect to the router, but have no internet connection.
