I was giving a RHO 7" notebookbook that was bought in korea, but I can,t seem to get it to connect to the internet, i have a wireless router from att that i use on my toshiba laptop and other devices such as psp and i don't have a problem connecting them although the wireless signal is being picked up i can't seem to connect with the notebook
i have an old Netgear MR 314 router that works like a charm for my wired connections, but whenever i try to connect wirelessly from my phone or laptop, it connects but doesn't access the internet.
My laptop will not connect to the internet. We are using a wireless router and have never had a problem before, it works if you plug the ethernet into it but otherwise it says no network available.
I want to buy a wireless router to which I can connect my USB internet device directly, so I don't have to turn on my PC all the time if I just want to use my moble phone or iPOD or other family members wanting to connect to internet.
My Linksys WRT160N wireless router stopped working all of the sudden. When I connect to the internet wirelessly my laptops say I have full signal but "No Internet Access." None of the 4 wired ports on the back of the WRT160N router give me wired internet. The only way I can get internet is to connect the wire to my internet modem
I have an E2000 (2 yrs old) that is not connecting to the internet. It is a slave to a BEFSR81 which controls the DNS.I am able to connect to other computers on my home network, so I know the wirelss is working and the cables are all good. I know that I can plug my laptop into the port on the hard wire router that the wireless was plugged into and I can get internet. So the only thing I can think of is the inernet is being blocked at the E2000.
My WRT54GL Linksys modem has me stumped, it will not connect no matter what I try. it worked fine until just recently after a power outage; everything seems to be working perfectly fine hardware wise; the router shows a solid power led and network activity on WLAN, Ethernet, and Internet. I've tried soft resets and factory reset, clearing my caches, releasing/renewing IPCONFIG.
The peculiar part is that it is not letting me access the web config at 192.168.1.1 while connected with the modem, however if I plug the router directly to my PC's ethernet port I can access the config; Itried updating the firmware this way but it didn't solve the problem. I have no more ideas.
Below is the IPCONFIG information with the modem and router hooked up:
I am running the most recent firmware 1.1.28 released on Jan 2nd(ish) 2013 and if I try and access or configure my external Segate Freeagent 1.5 GB it essentially crashes my router whereby I cannot reach the internet nor the Admin console. I have to power cycle to be able to connect?
I have A a linksys WRT54G2 and am trying to connect it to my wii. I had my Wii search for an access point And it found my router. I put in my password and it was accepted but I am still Not Connected to the internet.
Trying to connect one computer to the internet using a USB Verizon Pantech modem and at the same time connect to printer wirelessly through a Linksys router. We are able to connect to one or the other and can print when connected to the home network or we can surf when connected to the Pantech. We can connect to both networks at the same time, but when we do we can neither print or surf.. It cannot find the printer and does not access the internet at all. Is it possible to do this without buying additional hardware
I have a compaq laptop running Vista. We recently had our Uverse wireless router/modem replaced. Now my laptop will not connect to the internet. The laptop connects to the router but shows up as local connection only. Uverse tried all kinds of differant things to no avail. The laptop will hookup with a USB modem but I would like to get it back to how it was before.
I wired it all up correctly, and Continue to get "error 322: check router" upon every attempted install. I did some research and tried releasing and renewing IP amongst restarting all networking devices AND PC's. Peculiar enough, I could connect AND get online wirelessly from a netbook, but neither of my 2 PC's could connect via a wire. I got a defective router, is it possible the ports are malfunctioning? because the lights are on, but 3 or all of the 4 lights are continually on when only 2 ports are plugged in
I just set up a linksys n900. On one of the laptops that have vista it doesn't connect to the internet. The odd thing is when I first hooked up up it seemed to work fine than a day later it just stopped. All other computers are fine and if I try to connect to another network it works fine. Just when I try my home network it has issues.
I purchased a refurbed? router on the internet, not supported any longer by Cisco Chat. I have a wireless internet: WiMax thru Clear wireless. I have a Linksys voip box coming off it for my phones. I installed the disk that came with the router, followed the directions, and got a message that Internet could not be found. Went to the live chat and followed some advice that did not work, conflict with voip? bypassed the voip and ran a cable from the wireless modem to my E3000.
Well, I have a WRT120N Router for 11 months to now. I never had a problem with the Router, but since 2 days ago, It didnt connect to the internet.
My network is: Internet > Cable Modem > WRT120N > Computers
As I said, the problem is that the Router doesnt has Internet Connection.
Things to take in consideration: The Cable MODEM ISN'T the problem Because if i connect the modem directly to a computer, I have Internet connection without problems.I Diconnected and Connected both Modem and Router in several ways and several times, and it doesnt work.I also tryed clonning my PCs MAC address to the Router and it was the same. The Router Indeed receives the External IP Address from the Modem, and also, it changes if i restart the modem (as my ISP IP is DHCP). But there is NO internet conection. The Router had the 1.0.05 Firmware, and i upgraded to 1.0.06, and the problem persists. Another thing to take in account is that if I turn off my modem and the I turn it On, sometimes, the router receives Internet connection, but in matter of Seconds (minutes as much), the internet connection falls.
This is NOT an ISP problem, because as I said, if I connect the Modem Directly to any PC, i have a perfectly normal Internet Connection, And also, I called my ISP and they Said me that there werent any problem on their network.
I have also tryed with the "Router Dianostics" (the Ping and Traceroute options that are in the Router's Webend and also, no conection. So its NOT a Cables problem.
I am trying to assist my sister with her BEFW11S4 Wireless Router. It has been working fine until this week! The Firmwre is version 1.50. The main router is not connecting to the internet, yet the 2 wireless adapters for their other 2 computers are! It shows that the main one has a connection but when you bring up any Internet Browser it says it can't find the connection. We've checked the settings and they are all correct. We even turned the firewall off and that didn't work!
I was attempting to use my EA4200 in bridge mode but found out for some reason my devices weren't connecting to the internet. So I decided to try to access the router through the IP address of the router with no avail. So I pull the router and plug it in normally and notice that it keeps flashing. So that already gives me an idea something is wrong. I go through the process of unplugging everything from the router, and plugging my PC directly into the LAN port 1 of the router then powering it up. On my network connection list it keeps trying to identify the network but keeps failing (keep in mind that the router still is flashing). So I decide to attempt a 10 second reset, then a 30 second, then a 30-30-30. All with no success. The router keeps flashing.
Which gets me to the point where I am now... router flashing at me, and wondering if this now out of warrenty unit was a waste of money. I am noticing that a lot of people have had questions and issues with the E4200v2 which now concerns me, well hopefully this can be fixed.
My xp computers recently gave up. So, I bought a new one (windows 7).
When I had my new computer plugged directly into my modem, there was no problem; I could easily connect to the internet.Yet, when I plugged the modem into my router (WRT54GS) and then plugged the router into the computer, I repeatedly encountered: Error 651.
The new computer has a built-in wireless adapter. So, I was able to disconnect the router and try to re-connect via a wireless connection. Yet, dispite being able to connect to my "network", the computer was not able to connect to the internet; again, I received the dreaded Error 651 message.I tried using the installation disk, but it would not work, either.
I just bought a d link extreme n wireless router and I tried to install it with a Mac book pro so we could not use the setup disc and when we tried to use the 192 168 0 1 in the URL and used the set up automatically and th Internet light on the router was not blinking and the internet was not working
I realize there are a ton of posts with this same title. I've tried them all! My computer tells me I'm connected to my D link router but says "no internet access". I have other devices (computers, phones, ipads) that are connecting via the wireless router just fine. Furthermore, when I connect the ethernet cable directly to the computer it still does not connect to the internet. I've reset everything with no luck. I'm running windows 7. Everything is set to obtain IP address automatically.
I recently set up a router to have wireless internet at my house, and I've been experiencing very slow internet speeds. My internet specs are below:
ISP: Comcast Plan: BlastPlus, which supposedly gives speeds of up to 40 mbps Modem: Ubee D3.0 Router: Cisco/Linksys E1200
Before we got the router we used a wired connection which could only have one person connected at a time. That connection was a good speed, though I don't know exactly how fast. It never gave us any trouble. Now that we connected our router, we can't even stream youtube videos or anything. Emails take a long time to open, and navigating web pages in general is very slow.
i ahve a dlink dir 615 B2 router and it wont connect to the internet. on day it was fine and working, the next day the internet led wouldn't change from the red light to the green light.i have tried resetting it about 60 times, while the laptop was on/off, while it was plugged it, while it was without power, while the internet cable was in, while it wasn't, while it was shut down and i reset it and the i pluged it in while resetting it...i dont know what else to do!! short of smashing the bejesus out of it. The internet works fine when i connect the cable directly to the laptop, I don;t have a cable modem or anything, just a plain old cable from the street to my house.
I am having trouble connecting to the internet using my linksys router. I can connect to the internet when directly connected, however when i attempt to go wireless i can only connect to the router, not the internet[CODE]
My client has a ~6 year old dell xps which up until about two weeks ago connected to the internet fine with a netgear usb wireless adapter (it is a desktop). When that stopped working, she ordered a Rosewill RNX-N300X (my suggestion) and I installed it.I got the driver installed and everything, it connects to the router without a problem. Her laptop also connects wirelessly to the router just fine and can browse the web without a problem. The desktop however, even when connected to the router, refuses to access the internet. I was thinking the problem was DNS related because I can ping any ip address in cmd, but can't ping actual websites like [url]... or [url]... The problem is, when I manually change the dns servers in the wireless connection properties, it disables dhcp and will not connect to the internet. Here are the ipconfig /all results for the laptop which works:
SpoilerWireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection:
Every time I connect my router, I can't use the internet browsers. But I can see there's a internet connection. Bu once in a while even with just a modem connected to my computer I can't use the browsers. The signal from the router to my Xbox 360 works but sometimes it says there's DNS Error or IP Address Error causing my Nat to be strict. Once in a while, I can access my router's page when it's connected. [code]
Bought a new ASUS RT-N65R the other day, tried following all the steps to hook it up and get my home network going but to no avail. None of the PCs on the network were able to connect to the internet. Tried switching back to my old router, a NETGEAR N300, and it no longer connects. Was working fine until I tried swapping to the new router. When connected to the ASUS router, ipconfig shows my IP address as 169x instead of the 192.168.x.x like it should be. PC connects to the internet just fine when plugged directly into the cable modem, a Cisco DPC3010.
I have recently bought a Belkin N300 Wireless N Modem-Router and am unable to connect it to the internet. My laptop registers the router but the router won't connect to the internet. The router also is blinking a red light.
I have att dsl and they supplied me with a modem, a motorola model type 2210, and my belkin surf N300 router is giving me issues connecting to the internet. Im pretty sure my wireless network adapter is a netgear wg311v3.The issue im having is that sometimes i can connect to the internet just fine, and sometimes i cant connect to the internet. I know it is a router issue because when i plug the modem into my comp, i can access the internet 100% fine.I also think it is not a wireless network adapter issue because i ran an ethernet cable from the router to my comp and had the same issues. There are 2 other computers on the network, one of them is a year or two newer than my dell desktop, and has no issues whatsoever connecting to the internet via the router. The other computer on the network is a Wii, and has connection issues when playing online (probly a different issue), but can access the internet no problem.
A few days ago i bought this router Sweex LW310v2 and when i connect it to the internet,i found that some sites i can open and some sites i can't open. For example, i can open [URL] but i can't open [URL].. My connection to the internet is trough PPPoE and when i am connected directly to the internet i don't have this problem, the problem appears only when i am connected to internet trough the router. Moreover, programs like Yahoo Messenger and Skype can connect to internet trough the router, the problem is only with the sites. These two sites i use are just an example, most of the sites i can't open.
I have a sony vaio vpceb1e0e running on windows 7, it connects perfectly to sky broadband but I have issues connecting through BT internet, the computer will connect to the router but cannot get internet access. [code]
Background: This weekend, I lost my internet connection at home. I called my ISP and they sent someone over. The guy rewired the entire house (our ISP is also our tv cable provider), because he felt that our signal was probably weak due to the wiring. Long story short, after two hours of rewiring and fixing the cable outside out house (chewed through by a squirrel), he said the modem's signal was back to normal and left.
When I plugged the router; however, it refused to hold the internet connection for more than a few seconds. On the front panel, the planet-shaped light turned orange, then blue (for a few seconds) and then turned off entirely. I tried another few times and got the same result. At best, it stayed connected for a minute, until I rebooted my computer. The laptops in our house do read the presence of the router, so it's safe to assume that the problem lies with the router's capacity to receive the signal.
AOL are a complete waste of time and space in my opinion as for one you cannot understand what there tech support is saying and even when you email there tech support they seem to answer with a totally different answer to my questions.I have just installed a pci card ethernet connection on my pc windows xp now all I want to now do is connect and configure my router on the internet, I currently use aol dial.bb broadband adsl connection so far there are no connections from the router connected to my pc as i am still using a bt voyager 105 modem. When i did connect the ethernet cable to my pc and into the router also i connected the adsl cable into the back of the router but aol have not explained how to connect to the internet to configure this router and get it to work.
I have 24 port switch which is already connected to internet through static IP. Now I want to use a router as a wireless device to use internet. How do I connect router to switch?
