Our internet has been acting strange the last couple days, it will just disconnected for like 5-10 seconds, then come back. Happens anywhere between every couple minutes or every 15-30 seconds. There are two computers on the network, and it happens to both computers at the exact same time.
View 3 RepliesCurrently I have 3 computers in my house (My PC, Sister's PC and my Mums Laptop). My Mums and Sisters Computers work fine but RECENTLY (last couple of days) my computer when using the internet has become troublesome. Whenever I load multiple web-browser pages at once or try to connect to any online game server, my internet "laggs out" and refuses to load pages and even if it does they load INCREDIBLY slow. The only way to get back into any server is to reboot my modem and let my pc reconnect to it then connect to the server, even then it still has difficulty connecting and is delayed. My ping also spikes up when I am using skype and watching youtube video's. I have done a virus scan. I know its not my wireless adapter as I used my sisters one, I have tried using an ethernet cable and still the same result. I even tried our old adsl modem and still nothing. I'm getting really frustrated and have been unable to even load facebook in the last couple of days (I need facebook! I can post more information if needed, I am computer literate so I should easily understand anything anyone comes up with.

My sons computer is straight hooked to the internet while I use the wireless in another room.I have no problems with it until about a month ago, my daughter comes over with her laptop and uses the signal, then all of a sudden it takes pages etc on my laptop forever to load. I have windows xp on mine, she has 2 laptops she switches from, 1 with xp,1 with 7.

I tried using QoS and the problem still occurs. Any time during a game or streaming video I would lose connection for example in wow I will be able frozen can't cast or do anything. I had a linksys WRT54G and it would work fine. No disconnects or freezing during gameplay.
Also if i'm using pandora it works fine. When I get a DC or frozen game I can still surf the internet. This happens on all my PC's/MAC's/WLAN or LAN

Lately my internet speed is lagging like crazy. It's a Comcast cable internet so it shouldn't be this slow. Each time I go to the internet, I get the tuning circle (Internet Explorer 9) for like ages before any internet comes on. It used to be almost instantly.
Is it my PC or is it my cable modem? I have resetting the modem many times but it's still the same. FYI: Windows 7 and IEX 9 and Motorola Cable modem SGB6580.
Farmville plays fine, frontierville is ok, cityville is taking a long time to display friends list to request gifts, and wild west town is the same if it loads at allthis all started about a month ago and i don't know why. I'm trying optimise programs at present still no difference.

I can't connect directly to the modem because it's my roommates internet and it's connected to her computer so my only option is wireless or to connect directly via adapter that goes through the power outlets in the house. It's getting very annoying skipping around and it's almost impossible to play diablo 3 with this lag. I notice I drop a lot of packets when pinging to the diablo 3 server and I don't know why.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy network key was changed recently, and it took a few tries for my laptop to connect, but when it did it was fine. Then the key was changed again, and now my wireless is wonky. Sometimes it can't find the network, other times it will find it but then can't acquire a network address, and if it does manage to connect (sometimes it will as soon as I click 'Cancel' when it's taking forever to get the address) it starts slowing down and then speeding up again. The settings have not changed on anything, other than the network key.

There is a huge machine which is connected to every apartment of building via a cable modem(Netsys nh-300sp). Here is an image of system. And when I first came to apartment they gave me a username and password which I made login when i firstly opened a page on safari. When I plug in an ethernet cable to my macbook-air it connects and everything s good for a moment then it starts to kick me out randomly and continuously. When I look to Network Diagnostics: ISP is red, internet and network are yellow.I tried also using a manual DHPC address, but then ISP is green but Internet and server are red or yellow. I cant even reach to modems admin panel, maybe because of the system of building.

My boyfriend and I have directly connected his computer to the modem, and the internet is working. I have also called our ISP and asked if there are any problems on their end, and our modem is working fine with no issues. So we had come to the conclusion that our router was at fault. It was a Linksys E1500, we investigated online and found that many people had the same problem and it was solved through buying a new router. We have since bought a new router a D-link N150, it worked for a week and a half, but now our internet is back to disconnecting randomly throughout the day. We have tried resetting the router back to factory settings to an avail.

I've got a brand new C887VA-W-E-K9 that is up and running on a BT VDSL connection. That side of it is fine... But the integrated AP module on it keeps reloading.. I can be on the AP console reading the config via 'sh run' and suddenly it'll be loading the OS again... There's no errors logged, no errors on the console or anything... (I also have yet to get the radio working, it starte dbefore I'd finished the config).
It doesn't seem to be anything I'm doing as if I just leave the console, it'll just sit there... reloading every few minutes... (Although sometimes it seems to stay up for longer).
The console just looks like this. WHich is taken from listing the running config and while sitting at the --more-- prompt... Bang...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a D-Link DWA 510 and it's been perfectly fine, no hassles. Until about a week ago. Since then, not a lot has changed in my computer except for a new PSU/CPU and Keyboard and Mouse. Nothing has changed about the router, it's just the card that's messing up.
What I've tried:
Reinstalling the drivers
Updating
Rolling Back
Changing PCI card position
I'm up for trying many things. I just want some reliability until Saturday/Sunday when I buy my new card.
The send light is steadily blinking. Yesterday I disconnected the cable into my main cable box connected to my tv, so I could move it into a new tv stand I bought, and ever since then I get no Internet connection (tv cable works fine.) I cant see how that made my Internet go out, but maybe it did. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have bought a DIR 615 router one week ago and although my main goal was to use it at better wireless speeds (using the N feature) it turned out that I can only use it as a normal router. The hardware version is H1 and the software ver is 8.0.
The problem is that whenever I turn on the wireless with default configuration, the router immediately starts resetting by itself over and over again. Sometimes it doesn't reconnect, but as soon as I try to connect to it using one of my laptops, it immediately starts restarting. After it starts the continuous resetting, it is very hard to reset its settings using the hardware reset button, because I don't even have time to press it for 10 seconds. If the wireless is turned off, everything works.
I have a WAG160n v1 annexA with lateset firmware which was working good. Until yesterday, when I founded continuously resetting. I starts and then power led switches off and all internet leds switch on and the keeps repeating the same thing. I tried resetting by pressing the button for 5 sec, the power led turned red and then started blinking red. Left it for some time (1min) and then powered off the modem and again powered it on. Nothing change. I connected it to my laptop and then I powered off both of them and powered them on, first my modem and then my laptop.
