I'm setting up A DAP-1522 in bridge mode. Network setup went fine. When I went to wireless setup I got a blank page, all white no letters, nothing. I've logged out and back in again with the same results.

This problem just started to happen a few weeks ago. I never had a problem whenever a friend sent me an email with a link to click on.

But weird thing happened after the upgrade--the Setup->wireless network settings portion of the set up menu disappeared! I re-flashed the upgrade once more and it's still not showing. Reboot the AP--same thing!

I recently installed LMS 4.1 on a freshly installed W2k8R2 server, and untill last week I had no problems logging on. For some reason, I'm now getting a blank page after entering my credentials. The URL is like [URL] I already rebooted the system, but that made no difference. All Cisco Works services seem to be started, as is Apache/2.2.17.

I rebooted, reset the DAP but still no manual config option. I found I could configure it if I switched it to AP mode but still cannot setup from bridge mode. According to manual a reset does not turn off WPS so what is the answer?

It loads perfectly as the icon comes up in the corner of the tab as if it has loaded but the screen just stays white and blank.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use to have a DIR-655 and dap-1522 both worked without any issues. I recently upgraded to Asus RT-n56u and now I want to setup the dap-1522 with it.I have no issues with the Asus RT-n56u everything seems to work fine here the problem seems to be with the dap-1522 where it connects but then disconnects almost instantly.
1) Connect dap-1522 with my desktop computer via Ethernet
2) Change the LAN settings for tcp/ip v4 to manual IP
3) I set the manual IP to 192.168.0.60/ subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway to 192.168.0.50
4) I open my web browser and connect to 192.168.0.50 and I see the dlink page and I log in fine.
5)I tried going through the wizard, picked manual and have tried both the 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz bands they are set up as WPA-Auto Personal and I enter in my password. It says settings will be saved
6) The page refreshes to the wireless one but I don't see any options here just the save config one. When I go to status sometimes it says its connected but sometimes it just says it's not I try to unplug from my desktop and take it over to where my apple tv is but it never works..One thing I should note is my asus is connected to 192.168.1.X so do I need to change the dap-1522 to 192.168.1.50? instead of 0.50?
I tried to log on to my wireless routers IP address but it only gives me a blank page after signing in. the IP address is 192.168.1.1. Is there a problem with this ip address?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a ticket active with Cisco TACS Support but after 3 days and a complete uninstall and reinstall I am getting nowhere. I cannot let TACS into the server and I cannot post unsanitized logs for security reasons.I installed LMS 4.0 with the Win2K8 patch on Win2K8R2 64 bit server. No problems during a 2nd install (first one was completely removed per TACS). Checked all Windows event logs and windows firewall log. AV disabled. No other roles installed accept IIS (disabled) and DHCP (active). Ports are default HTTP: 1741 and SSL: 443.load site from server (IE 8) or workstation (IE 7) cookies enabled, and login with "admin" and the proper password and each browser quickly loads a blank page with this URL:

When I try to find where to select between the different encryption types (TKIP or AES), I see the info on page 87 of the product manual, but this doesn't match what I see in the Manual Wireless Network Setup screen. You can select WPA Personal (in Security Mode), but there are no further panels below it to select encryption types and enter the PSK. Compare page 30 to page 87. There are extra panels on 87 that don't appear on 30, and I can't find a way to access them while accessing the router.I've got the unit set up and running; works fine with my wireless laptop. It's just that I need to be able to switch between things in order to troubleshoot a setup with an internet radio I'm trying to get running (Grace Digital, which apparently doesn't do 802.11n, only up to g).

Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version : 1.01NA
go to SETUP -> "NETWORK SETTINGS"
change "Router IP Address" to 192.168.73.1
change "DHCP IP Address Range" to: 192.168.73.10 : 192.168.73.200
Save Changes Wait for reboot. change my client system's local IP address... so that I can reconnect. direct web browser to http://192.168.73.1/
seen: login page has a select-box for a userid, but no text inside. there is no prompt to ask me to login. I press enter (or whatever... I login). every form interface on all web pages looked at have no labels on text boxes.
I did a view source... and used web-dev tools to look at the page. it looks like the apparent js function, show_words(), is not defined.
change ip address and dhcp address range back to default save changes. wait for reboot. reverse changes to local system things are back to normal. login page has useful text. after logging in, there is something to read.
looking at source again. I see, now, that the js function "show_words" is defined in a file called public.js.
I got a DAP-1522 and here is my situation. I have a wireless router connected to the internet downstairs. I want to extend the range by creating a new wireless network upstairs. So I want the DAP-1522 to connect to the wireless router, and then become another access point upstairs.
I was able to connect to the wireless router in the DAP-1522 setup wizard, but nowhere was I able to configure that actual DAP-1522 WIRELESS setup. Nothing ever showed up on the "Wireless Settings". Just "Save Settings" "Do Not Save Settings" and the rest of the screen empty. On the status page it does show it is connected.
Am I doing something wrong or will the DAP-1522 not do this?
I want to send a WoL (wake on lan) packet to power up a PC which is wired to DAP-1522. The DAP-1522 is connected to my DIR-655 router wirelessly. So far, I have no luck. Do you know if the DAP-1522 is capable of passing the WoL? Does it need a firmware upgrade before it can do so?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a defective DAP-1522, or what. First off, I have never been able to access the unit at http://DLINKAP when my computer is connected directly to the 1522 via ethernet, only 192.168.0.50 works to bring up the web interface.
Second, I have more than one AP at my house, but the DAP-1522 is the only networking device I have have problems with (I am using the unit in AP mode). Basically, the problem is the wireless connection usually is much slower than my other APs (both N and G), even when the computer is physically right next to the DAP-1522. And that's when the unit is at it's best. At it's worst, I can't connect to the internet at all, even though my laptop shows full signal strength. The 1522 just seems really finicky. The problem doesn't seem to be a networking issue, because a 2nd AP that is connected through the wired portion of the DAP-1522 works perfectly, implying the 1522 is having no networking issues when using the ethernet ports. But since the problems persist with full signal strength and with the computer right next to the 1522, it doesn't seem to be a wireless connection issue either. And I have no problems connecting to any other wireless APs I own (and I own about 5 others, not that I use them all at the same time).
If I could, I would return my 1522, but I've been tinkering with it for too long now to return it. It has caused me a ton of frustration. I had a wired-only router for a long time (hence the purchase of the 1522), but just bought a new wireless-N router that is performing perfectly (as a router, and as an N AP). I hoped the old router might have not been playing nice with the 1522, but have seen no improvement with the 1522 wired to the new router (on opposite ends of my home).
Note that I use Macs only, no Windows machines. I started with the 1.02 firmware for the 1522, now have 1.20 firmware, but have noticed no improvements with my issues.
Using as AP. Last Tuesday in the middle of a Netflix movie the video stopped. Now the wireless portion of the DAP-1522 refuses to pass any type of video. Everything else works (email, Google, Facebook, etc.). I can get to Netflix, Youtube, Yahoo, etc. .....but none of them will pass video.
Using a direct wired connection to the DAP-1522 everything works. Netflix, Youtube, etc.

I'm running the 1522 as a bridge with v1.21 firmware. I have 2 devices wired to it. I have Wireless MAC cloning disabled (not checked). If I scan my network using a tool such as ipscanner (http:url.....) the devices attached to the bridge are being listed with the 1522's MAC address - not their own.
The connected devices should be showing up with their own MAC addresses. The 1522's address should only be displayed IF MAC cloning is enabled and IF the cloning mode is set to Auto - is my understanding of this feature incorrect or is my 1522 not performing as spec'd?
I am thinking of getting the DAP-1522 access point but I wondered. Can I set it to broadcast on 5GHz for my laptop and ipad, so they can stream video. Then set the guest zone to broadcast on 2.4GHz just for my lame printer, my printer does not have LAN and only wireless b & g. If I do put the printer on the guest zone and I enable routing between zones, will my laptop be able to print to my printer?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo just recently purchased the DIR-825 and DAP-1522. At this point I just want to get the DAP-1522 to work as a wireless access point to my DIR-825. So my wireless laptop would connect wirelessly to the DAP-1522 and the 1522 would go wireless to the router. Pretty basic I guess. I was planning on using the WAP to strengthen the 5 GHz signal to the router but again, at this point, I would be happy to get the 2.4 GHz working.
I've been working on this since last night and got frustrated and went to bed. I woke up fresh and decided to try again and I'm not having making any headway.
DIR-825 is connected to my DSL modem and has no problem accessing the internet. I can connect to either 2.4 or 5.0 directly from my laptop with no problem at all and have access to the internet. Encryption is disabled. It worked with encryption but I turned it off to troubleshoot this AP problem.
It should be simple but I must be doing something wrong. BTW is there a way to scan for network devices from the router or the access point? I tried discovering each device with the wireless setup button on each device but they don't recognize each other so I'm configuring this manually.
So the DAP has access point enabled and 802.11 is running in mixed mode. I've tried different variations but nothing has worked. I've tried 20 mhz and 20-40 auto mhz channels but same problem. Wireless security is off for troubleshooting at the moment.
DHCP server is disabled and I've assigned the DAP an available ip from the router's dhcp range. I can connect to the DAP both wirelessly and hard wired. The problem is that it can't seem to connect to the router. So my laptop can connect to the router and ha internet access. And it can also connect to the DAP but does not have internet access. The ip is showing auto configuration 169.x.x.x when connected to the DAP so I'm not getting an ip. Is the router supposed to assign the ip to my laptop through the DAP? But again, if the DAP can't communicate with the router, then that would explain why I can't get an IP.

Internet still works. PC is connected directly to router. Tried different port on router. Tried installing CiscoConnect.E2500.1.4.11299.0,0, but it fails saying there is no router connected to PC. I'm trying to login to my EA4500 setup page. I have the "cloud connect" firmware and when I'm redirected to the "Linksys Smart Wi-Fi" page in my browser, I attempt to login as usual.It accepts my login name and password, and then I get a page that has a rotating graphic and it says "waiting..." It eventualy times out and takes me back to the login screen. I've tried to reboot my router and that doesn't work. I've also disconnected the internet connection from the modem, and entered the router main password, and that gives me the same response as if I tried to connect via the cloud.

I have connected it between my modem and PC, and I am able to get an internet connection on the PC, but I am unable to connect to the router's configuration page. I have tried resetting the router numerous times (holding the reset button 5 seconds, 10 seconds, even longer) to reset the IP address to the default 192.168.1.1 address, but still cannot access the page. The power LED is on and the WLAN and Internet LEDs are on, and the LED for the port my PC is connected to is on. The hardware version of the router is v3. I tried downloading the latest firmware, but without being anble to communicate with the router at the IP address I cannot update the firmware. How can I go about connectiong to the router's setup page? When using ipconfig, the Default Gateway appears to still point to my ISP's IP address instead of the router's.

I can connect to it just fine with my laptop however... so I changed it to 192.168.254.1 as per some internet instructions. Still can't connect via my desktop... Tried ipconfig /flushdns to no avail. Cleared the internet cache Upgraded the firmware (via the laptop) rebooted the computer rebooted the router... reset the router... After rebooting the router I can type in the username and password to access the router, but it never connects....

After completing software install, everything appears to be working fine, except that I can't get to the advanced setup page, either through Cisco connect software or from the web page utility. Either way, the advanced settings web page never finishes loading. I am using the correct login information for the web page utility. It accepts the username "admin" and password, but never loads. View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I had DSL, my WRT54G was my DHCP master for my home network. When I got AT&T U-Verse, their "gateway" became the DHCP master and also the wireless access point. But the signal was not strong enough where I wanted to use it, so I hooked up the WRT54G again. I discovered that if I connected the U-Verse gateway to the "Internet" port on the WRT54G Linksys, then my home network was split in two, which I did not want. The WRT54G access point is physically somewhat distant from my wired computer, so I wanted to keep the U-Verse gateway as the DHCP master. (The U-Verse gateway is a router with four "computer" ports but no "Internet" port.)
I followed instructions on the Linksys web site, and using my wi-fi connected computer I re-programmed the WRT54G to be "Disabled" as a DHCP server. Then I powered down and physically connected the U-Verse gateway to a "Computer" port on the WRT54G. This solved my problem: my distant wi-fi computer now has a good signal, and both computers "see" each other.
However, now I seem to have lost access to the WRT54G setup "web page." Is it possible to access the innards of the WRT54G when its DHCP service is disabled? Or would I have to reset the device to factory configuration and start all over if I wanted to make any tweaks?
My internet is T1 by Verizon. My mom's company Siemens pays for our internet because she works from home as medical tech support on the phone. Okay so the T1 had to be laid out to our house underground I think because where we live, other brands of internet aren't available. The T1 goes from the box outside into our basement and hooks up to a Cisco 1721 modem. From the 1721 the internet goes out to a wireless router that is sitting right next to it. This wireless router is a Linksys WRT160N V2. We have several cables coming out of the WRT160N V2 to go to the first floor for hardwired connections, but one cable goes to the attic and connects to a second wireless router. The second wireless router is a Linksys E2000. We have several cables coming out of the E2000 that go to the 2nd floor to serve as hardwired connections.Okay so let me explain where things went wrong.
After a storm our power went out. Eventually the power came back on, but every now and then our internet would shut off for like half a day then turn right back on, so our internet was getting really really spotty. The [b]AL[/b] light on the Cisco 1721 would come on every time the internet went out. It was so bad that my mom had to get an aircard from verizon to get internet. So after two weeks of spotty service and arguing with verizon trying to get them to come fix the problem, they said try resetting your wireless routers because they might have "bad data" in the lines causing spotty connection. So we reset the wireless routers by holding down the reset buttons on the back. Well.. this reset all of the settings for the routers which Cisco facilitated set up, and now our wireless routers are out of warranty date so they can't set the wireless routers back up. However, we have copies of the online wireless router set up page, so we thought maybe we could just set them up ourselves.Well the problem is... We don't know how to connect to the wireless setup pages.. I read something on the internet about setting up wireless networks and to type 192.168.1.1 into our browser(Mozilla Firefox) and that would bring us to the wireless setup page. But the page does NOT ever come up.
Another way to find the IP address of our wireless routers would be to try going to the cmd and typing in ipconfig and using the Default Gateway IP address for the browser to connect to the setup page but that doesn't work out either.... Right now I unhooked the Linksys WRT160N V2 and hardlined the Cisco 1721 to the Linksys E2000 to a PC on the second floor because I figured it wouldn't work out if we had two wireless routers running at the same time. Currently the browser is taking me no where at all. It just says "Connecting..." but nothing is loading up at all.I tried hardlining from the Cisco 1721 to my mom's laptop, which is her work computer, and I got no response at all. I figured it might just be her work computer that was messing up and not allowing her to hardline into the 1721 so I tried hardlining the Cisco 1721 straight to the PC desktop on the second floor(we have no other laptops other than my mom's work laptop) and nothing went through. Then my dad says the Cisco 1721 has been configured so it doesn't direct connect, meaning that it has to go through a wireless router.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith firmware version 1.31, the Wireless settings page is blank when a browser other than Internet Explorer is used to access it - for instance, Firefox or Chrome.All other pages appear and seem to work properly, only the Wireless settings page is empty. Luckily, the Wizard still works and can be used to set the Wireless settings for general purpose use. Older versions of the firmware worked fine with other browsers, including the Wireless settings page.
