Mar 22, 2012We have had an ASA5505 for close to two years. About a year ago, we added a second ISP ("BOB") which became our primary and our old one (SBC) became our backup. I successfully modified the config for this and it's been working well.
Now we're changing our primary ISP to Comcast and getting rid of BOB, so right now we actually have 3 ISPs coming into our building.
I removed the BOB interface and routes, then added an interface for Comcast using an IP address from the range they provided as well as a static route to the gateway they provided - everything is analagous to the previous interfaces and routes, but it doesn't work. If I physically disconnect the Ethernet cable going to the Comcast cable modem, then the ASA does fail back to the SBC interface as expected. If I put the BOB interface & route back in there, it works again through BOB.
If I connect a PC to the Comcast cable modem and use an IP/Gateway they provided, the Internet connection *does* work. Using this same exact IP info in the ASA doesn't work.
Is there some other configuration item besides interfaces and static routes that I should be modifying? Is there some way I can dig deeper into the ASA to see exactly what is failing?

Jan 30, 2011I just changed my internet provider from DSL to cable. When I hooked up the DIR-615 I had some difficulties. At first my computers would all connect to the router but there was no internet connection. I had to download the latest firmware and install it. After the install succeeded, everything seemed to be okay. However, I now occasionally get the message that the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. Also, the little world symbol on the router constantly flashes at a rapid rate. Before the switch, neither of these two things happened. When I check the download speed it seems fine. The cable modem is an Arris and also handles my telephone service.

Jul 17, 2011I have a DIR-825 router connected to my cable modem. The 2.4ghz constantly goes down but not the 5.0ghz. Our wireless devices will see the connection but we are unable to connect.We only have one device that uses the 5.0 and multiple devices that use the 2.4 and none of them can connect.I am currently running firmware 2.02. I also notice that the time changes and I have to reset the time/date.I have tried rebooting the device, resetting the router, changing the network key, updated the time/date, renewed the DHCP...I don't know why it keeps going down, why the time/date keeps changing, and why I cannot get the 2.4 working.

Mar 22, 2012I have a new router. this seems to be a very simple problem relating to the most basic configuration options.
Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version : 1.01NA
go to SETUP -> "NETWORK SETTINGS"
change "Router IP Address" to 192.168.73.1
change "DHCP IP Address Range" to: 192.168.73.10 : 192.168.73.200
Save Changes Wait for reboot. change my client system's local IP address... so that I can reconnect. direct web browser to http://192.168.73.1/
seen: login page has a select-box for a userid, but no text inside. there is no prompt to ask me to login. I press enter (or whatever... I login). every form interface on all web pages looked at have no labels on text boxes.
I did a view source... and used web-dev tools to look at the page. it looks like the apparent js function, show_words(), is not defined.
change ip address and dhcp address range back to default save changes. wait for reboot. reverse changes to local system things are back to normal. login page has useful text. after logging in, there is something to read.
looking at source again. I see, now, that the js function "show_words" is defined in a file called public.js.
D-Link DCS Network Camera :: 920 - Changing Admin Password?
May 16, 2010Im having some problems changing my admin password on my DCS920
I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"
So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.
it lists:
old password
newpassword
confirm
So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.
A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work
I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK
I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK
I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK
I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..
Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.
Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?
I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.

Jun 15, 2011I recently bought a tenda w548d Version 2.0 Adsl2+ Modem router. it worked fine with its default settings and wired connection was ok when i chose DSL uplink while installing its driver from CD. But it couldn't connect wireless. There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. I have tried reset the new router many times but still the ADSL light never lights up. And the ADSL light is ok because when i turn the router on, it lights with all the others.

Jan 23, 2013When I change a setup setting and click save settings, most of the time it gets stuck on the "saving..." notification window and eventually I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" notification. However I have found that if I repeatedly try it eventually it will accept the change. This never happens using the wizards only making manual changes. I am running the camera with a Wi-Fi connection. I am not sure this is a router or camera firmware bug (running V1.12)

May 24, 2012I have a broadband connection and recently I bought a new D-Link wireless router for accessing internet on my Android phone via Wi-Fi. Router model no. is N 150 DIR-524.After configuring it was working fine for a week or so and then one fine day internet stopped working on my PC and router LED for internet was not glowing as well. So I called my ISP and they changed my ethernet card settings (nVidia).They changed the 'Speed/duplex settings' from 'Auto Negotiation' to '10 Mb Half Duplex' and then the internet started working. During this they had disconnected my router. Once they were gone, I reset the router and connected it back. Since then it ain't working Internet works fine when the cable is plugged directly in the ethernet card but doesn't work when plugged via router. Router does everything right from opening the '192.168.0.1' page to saving the settings. But there's no internet access.

Dec 29, 2011 I've noticed that many people have routers with NAT as part of their security configuration. What NAT is/does? Also, I entered the router's settings and went to Advanced > Firewall > NAT ENDPOINT FILTERING .There are 3 options specified for UDP/TCP Endpont Filtering; they are:
Endpoint Independent
Address Restricted
Port and Address Restricted
What are these options? I downloaded the manual for the router but it doesn't mention what NAT, Endpoint Independent, Address Restricted, and Port and Address Restricted are.
Side Note: I thought about setting up a secure connection using WPA2. Right not I'm using an unsecured wireless network. If I setup a new secure wireless connection using WPA2 will my current unsecured connection still be available?
D-Link DIR-601 :: Write Down SSID / Password And Security Key
Mar 2, 2013I have a new laptop and had a dlink DIR601 installed on an older laptop. I wasn't the one who got it set up originally but they did have me write down my SSID, password and security key. The dlink came with a cd but there is no cd rom on this laptop. I have tried reset, on line download (which only let me do the revisions). I have talked to a few people and they say it's easy!
