D-Link DIR-615 :: No Internet After Changing Password On Router

Apr 29, 2011

I recently set up my DIR-615 on my wireless netbook.  Everything worked fine and I could get online.  But then when I changed the password on the router, it bumped me off and now says Internet isn't available.  My phone can connect to Internet but not my netbook anymore.  When my netbook tries to troubleshoot it keeps saying "problems with router and adapter."

Cisco WAN :: MWR2941 Qos Solution For 10mb Point-to-point L2 WAN Link

Jul 18, 2011

We have a MWR2941 (running 12.4(20)MR) router on site A and one in site B which will be connected over a Service provider L2VPN Ethernet over MPLS (EoMPLS) Network, with 10Mb Bandwidth allocated by the ISP. I have simulated this in the lab by directly connecting the two MWR's back-to-back via the Gig0/0 interface with configurable bandwidth of 10Mb on the Trunk interface.

The E1 TDM pseudowire end to end is working fine, with PTP configured for E1 timing/clocking. In addition I have a 2960-24PC-L switch connected on G0/2 of the MWR (on each end) configured with dot1q trunking. The switch will be used to connect two user groups in two seperate vlans (VlanA and vlanb) and transported across the same 10MB wan Link. Below are the requirements

1) Classify and mark Psuedowire packets E1-DATA coming from a E1/CEM interface and give it priority treatment over the WAN Link with reserved bandwidth of at least 4MB
2) Classify and mark Signalling/Timing PTP packets coming from PTP Vlan and give it strict bandwidth reservation over the WAN Link of 1MB
3) Classify and mark vlan A traffic coming from the 2960 Switch Trunk port (Connected to G0/2 on MWR) and give it bandwidth reservation over the WAN Link of 2MB
4) Classify and mark vlan B traffic coming from the 2960 Switch Trunk port (Connected to G0/2 on MWR) and give it bandwidth reservation over the WAN Link of 2MB

It is important that the E1 Traffic and the Signalling/Timing PTP packets are given priority and strict reservation so that it is not dropped in times of congestion. At the same time Vlan A and Vlan B need bandwidth reservation to give them their guaranteed bandwidth.

Currently I have tried applying policy map to the CEM interface. However, I am having trouble matching anything on the CEM input. Also I am having trouble applying a service-policy outbound on the gig0/0 (WAN Link). Also I can’t apply a service-policy inbound on the Gig0/2 interface with match statement. I have tried configuring input policy map to classify and mark PTP traffic (Vlan 902), but the MWR does not also allow me to attach a service-policy to the vlan interface. how to configure the MWR and have a workable QOS solution.

Cisco WAN :: 3750G / 2960 - LAN-to-LAN Link (Layer 2)

Apr 15, 2013

We have 2 sites that are actually connected through a 10 Mbps cooper link.

In site A we have a 3750G- SW
in site B we have a 2960Poe SW
This link has in each end a ISP's router (allied Tele sis)

This link is working fine. Now we contracted with the ISP a new link, 30 Mbps fiber, and we need to replace de "old" one...
in this case the IPS only gave us a transceiver so we have UTP instead fiber, no routers. the 10Mbps and 30Mbps links in were hired to be layer 2 only.

Is possible to create a config in site B SW to make it work? I was searching and see this IOS command: spanning-tree link-type point-to-point. could this do the rick? Or is absolutely necessary to use a router?

P.S: Actual config of the port in use is:
Site A:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/5
description description NEW LINK Fiber - UPLINK TO SW4

Site B:
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
description NEW - Fiber - UPLINK TO SW1

D-Link DIR-615 :: Connection Reset Message After Changing ISP?

I just changed my internet provider from DSL to cable.  When I hooked up the DIR-615 I had some difficulties.  At first my computers would all connect to the router but there was no internet connection.  I had to download the latest firmware and install it.  After the install succeeded, everything seemed to be okay.  However, I now occasionally get the message that the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.  Also, the little world symbol on the router constantly flashes at a rapid rate.  Before the switch, neither of these two things happened.  When I check the download speed it seems fine.  The cable modem is an Arris and also handles my telephone service.

D-Link DIR-601 :: Changing LAN IP Address Causes Blank Interface Labels?

Mar 22, 2012

I have a new router.  this seems to be a very simple problem relating to the most basic configuration options.

Hardware Version: A1     Firmware Version : 1.01NA
go to  SETUP -> "NETWORK SETTINGS"
change  "Router IP Address" to 192.168.73.1
change "DHCP IP Address Range" to:  192.168.73.10 : 192.168.73.200

Save Changes Wait for reboot. change my client system's local IP address...  so that I can reconnect. direct web browser to http://192.168.73.1/

seen: login page has a select-box for a userid, but no text inside.  there is no prompt to ask me to login. I press enter (or whatever...  I login). every form interface on all web pages looked at have no labels on text boxes.

I did a view source...  and used web-dev tools to look at the page.  it looks like the apparent js function, show_words(), is not defined.

change ip address and dhcp address range back to default save changes. wait for reboot. reverse changes to local system things are back to normal.  login page has useful text.  after logging in, there is something to read.

looking at source again.  I see, now, that the js function "show_words" is defined in a file called public.js.

D-Link DCS Network Camera :: 920 - Changing Admin Password?

May 16, 2010

Im having some problems changing my admin password on my DCS920

I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"

So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.

it lists:

old password
newpassword
confirm

So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.

A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work

I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK

I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK

I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK

I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..

Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.

Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?

I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Layer 2 Link Configuration VLAN 2626

Apr 29, 2013

I've turned up a new layer 2 WAN link between two data centres and i'm having some trouble trying to logically figure out how things should be configured. As you can see from the diagram i've created, I have the link connected on port 13 on one switch and port 14 on the other. Both ports have an IP address assigned to them and they can both ping each other..

The problem comes when I need to add routes in order to get traffic flowing over the link.I added an IP address to switch 2 on the link interface (port 14) as: 192.168.4.10

I then added an IP address to switch 1 on the link interface (port 13) as:

192.168.1.10
192.168.2.10

When I tried to add 192.168.3.10, it said "192.168.3.0 overlaps with VLAN2626". This would be correct as Vlan 2626 has an IP address of 192.168.3.15.

However, if I remove the IP address from vlan 2626 and add 192.168.3.10 to vlan 2 (the link port VLAN), I would surely lose remote access to the switch. (I'm telnetting into the switch from a machine on vlan 2626).

I started to tinker with this by manually adding a route to a server in each location and seeing if I could get traffic to flow:

On server 1: route add 192.168.4.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.10 METRIC 1
On server 2: route add 192.168.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.4.10 METRIC 1

If I try to tracert 192.168.1.20 from server 2, the first hop is the default gateway instead of 192.168.4.10.

The ultimate goal is to add the static routes to the Layer 3 router/firewall, but before I do that, I need to be sure of what to add to that router (It's a manged firewall from the data centre, so I don't have access to it and I need to raise firewall change requests to get the work done, so want to ensure it's right first time.

Protocols / Routing :: Can't Get Access To Router After Changing DSl Up-link To Ethernet

Jun 15, 2011

I recently bought a tenda w548d Version 2.0 Adsl2+ Modem router. it worked fine with its default settings and wired connection was ok when i chose DSL uplink while installing its driver from CD. But it couldn't connect wireless. There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. I have tried reset the new router many times but still the ADSL light never lights up. And the ADSL light is ok because when i turn the router on, it lights with all the others.

Changing From WEP To WPA Now No Internet

Apr 23, 2011

I tried changing the WEP to WPA because I recently found out our neighbors were stealing internet from us. However after doing all this changing around I used 192.168... And all that and was able to change the ssid and the passphrase but after doing so the Internet stopped working. We are able to connect but it says there's no service or limited connectivity so no web pages or anything loads. Now I can't get back to the router page by typing that 192.168. stuff because there's no Internet. Don't know what to do. This is my fathers ISP and it's not the greatest considering the location. I've tried unplugging the router and whatnot but that's not working either. I think we need to get back on the router page and fix something but it's not allowing us to since there's no Internet. Am I going to have to change back to a WEP.. I dont really want too. The router may need to be upgraded too because it's pretty ancient.

No Internet After Changing WAP To WAN

Feb 7, 2012

A router restart. I changed the wpa to wen so I could connect my ds to wifi.So far what I have done was restart the modem, it's a Cisco wag120n. This is a wireless so the moment I changed to wen, I lost connection. I then used a cable to connect to the modem and managed to change the settings in the router page 192.168.1.1 back to wpa but with no success connecting to the Internet. I then tried ressetting the modem and computer with no luck. I cut the power to the modem router and turned off computer for 5 minutes. I then turned the modem back til it was stable and then the computer, again with no luck. I then factory reset via the button manually and via the modem page but both ended up with the unable to connect to primary DNS server.

Cisco Switching / Routing :: 3560 - Accessing Management Interface Using Layer 3 Link

Apr 9, 2012

I am setting up a link between buildings that uses wireless links. I'm using Layer 3 routed ports on 2 3560 switches to handle the routing between sites. Normally I would just put these in a /30 and then the switches handle the rest. However, the wireless access points have a web interface for managing them that I want to be able to access, but it's only available on the single NIC that also carries traffic. What would be the best way of making this work? Should I make the link a /29 and give the access points an IP in the same range? If this is the case what do I use for the default gateway for the access points?

I have included a diagram to try to explain the issue clearer. The IP addresses in black are what I would do if this were a standard cable (and indeed this will work, but I wont be able to access the admin interface of the wireless AP) and the red ip addresses are the alternative if I use a /29 (but as I said, I'm not sure what to use for the default gateways).

D-Link Wireless Router Not Working After Changing Speed / Duplex Settings?

May 24, 2012

I have a broadband connection and recently I bought a new D-Link wireless router for accessing internet on my Android phone via Wi-Fi. Router model no. is N 150 DIR-524.After configuring it was working fine for a week or so and then one fine day internet stopped working on my PC and router LED for internet was not glowing as well. So I called my ISP and they changed my ethernet card settings (nVidia). They changed the 'Speed/duplex settings' from 'Auto Negotiation' to '10 Mb Half Duplex' and then the internet started working. During this they had disconnected my router. Once they were gone, I reset the router and connected it back. Since then it ain't working Internet works fine when the cable is plugged directly in the ethernet card but doesn't work when plugged via router. Router does everything right from opening the '192.168.0.1' page to saving the settings. But there's no internet access.
