I have a new SMART T.V. I have no trouble hooking up wirelessly to my N300 router, I can get on the internet without any problem. Then I added a wireless speaker system, now the T.V. won't hook up to the router any more. My question is, how do I change channels on the N300 DIR 615 router so that I can get away from the interference caused by the wireless speaker system?

But it couldn't connect wireless. There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. I have tried reset the new router many times but still the ADSL light never lights up. And the ADSL light is ok because when i turn the router on, it lights with all the others.

Router model no. is N 150 DIR-524.After configuring it was working fine for a week or so and then one fine day internet stopped working on my PC and router LED for internet was not glowing as well. So I called my ISP and they changed my ethernet card settings (nVidia).They changed the 'Speed/duplex settings' from 'Auto Negotiation' to '10 Mb Half Duplex' and then the internet started working. During this they had disconnected my router. Once they were gone, I reset the router and connected it back. Since then it ain't working Internet works fine when the cable is plugged directly in the ethernet card but doesn't work when plugged via router. Router does everything right from opening the '192.168.0.1' page to saving the settings. But there's no internet access.

Changing from a lynksis wrt54g to a d-link DIR-815.We tried using the quick router setup wizard they provided but it wasn`t able to connect to the internet to continue, then we tried manual setup (going on the web-based connection thing) since the wizard stopped working and we tried a manual setup.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just changed my internet provider from DSL to cable. When I hooked up the DIR-615 I had some difficulties. At first my computers would all connect to the router but there was no internet connection. I had to download the latest firmware and install it. After the install succeeded, everything seemed to be okay. However, I now occasionally get the message that the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. Also, the little world symbol on the router constantly flashes at a rapid rate. Before the switch, neither of these two things happened. When I check the download speed it seems fine. The cable modem is an Arris and also handles my telephone service.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI bought yesterday a wireless modem/router and Tp-Link Adsl2+ N300 Modem Router Td-W8960n.I have 2 laptop computers at home.The first issue I have is that with one of the laptops (quite old - Acer Aspire 2420-2579 with Windows Vista Basic Service Pack 1) I can not connect (wireless) to the internet. It says local access only. However in other countries (IM in NZ) it does connect to internet. It does work when I use an Ethernet cable between my router and the laptop. The second issue is with my other laptop. A HP Pavillion DV-4 windows vista home premium service pack 2. I manage to get wireless access to the internet but every couple of minutes the connections drops and starts again by itself�. After 1-2 min approx�. it is getting pretty annoying!I don�t think it is the routher as I also have an XBOX 360 connectet to the internet usign the same device and works absolutely fine!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought this wireless router the other day in order to get internet access on my Nintendo Wii. I set it up using the CD and followed all the instructions (made a password, wrote down the key, etc.) - and my Wii CAN detect it, but when I type in the key on the Wii I get an error message. I looked online and they said the way to fix that specific error is to "change the channel" on the router to 1 or 11. (It is currently 6). I type in my IP into the browser like I'm supposed to (the default IP of the router), but ALL the options on the page are greyed out and nothing is click-able. Here's a screenshot
View 3 Replies View RelatedI live in a Townhome complex so inSSIDer displays a lot of wireless activity. I have noticed that many of the routers channels are listed as 6 + 2, 4 + 1, etc., while show only a single channel. I have been able to "temporarily" replicate this by setting the Channel Width on my DIR-655, by setting channel width to auto, and when I am successful it displays a speed of 300, both in my task bar and in inSSIDer. However, that is usually short lived and the channel for my router reverts back to a single channel and the displayed speed drops to 130 or 144. My neighbor's Netgear is rock solid at displaying dual channels. Well, that and besting my signal strength. :-)
I have the router manually to channel 8 because none of the routers, judged by their displayed strength, use it.So, I guess my question is; how do I stop my DIR-655 from dropping back to using a single channel, which I interpret 20MHz, even though it is set on auto?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a DIR-825 router connected to my cable modem. The 2.4ghz constantly goes down but not the 5.0ghz. Our wireless devices will see the connection but we are unable to connect.We only have one device that uses the 5.0 and multiple devices that use the 2.4 and none of them can connect.I am currently running firmware 2.02. I also notice that the time changes and I have to reset the time/date.I have tried rebooting the device, resetting the router, changing the network key, updated the time/date, renewed the DHCP...I don't know why it keeps going down, why the time/date keeps changing, and why I cannot get the 2.4 working.

go to SETUP -> "NETWORK SETTINGS"
change "Router IP Address" to 192.168.73.1
change "DHCP IP Address Range" to: 192.168.73.10 : 192.168.73.200
Save Changes Wait for reboot. change my client system's local IP address... so that I can reconnect. direct web browser to http://192.168.73.1/
seen: login page has a select-box for a userid, but no text inside. there is no prompt to ask me to login. I press enter (or whatever... I login). every form interface on all web pages looked at have no labels on text boxes.
I did a view source... and used web-dev tools to look at the page. it looks like the apparent js function, show_words(), is not defined.
change ip address and dhcp address range back to default save changes. wait for reboot. reverse changes to local system things are back to normal. login page has useful text. after logging in, there is something to read.
looking at source again. I see, now, that the js function "show_words" is defined in a file called public.js.
Im having some problems changing my admin password on my DCS920
I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"
So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.
it lists:
old password
newpassword
confirm
So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.
A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work
I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK
I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK
I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK
I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..
Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.
Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?
I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.
When I change a setup setting and click save settings, most of the time it gets stuck on the "saving..." notification window and eventually I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" notification. However I have found that if I repeatedly try it eventually it will accept the change. This never happens using the wizards only making manual changes. I am running the camera with a Wi-Fi connection. I am not sure this is a router or camera firmware bug (running V1.12)

However reading further into this it seems this feature is only supported on higher end models. I cannot find any reference to the min-links feature in the 3750-X configuration guide. Is this an available feature?
The 3750-X model is WS-C3750X-24T-L running IOS 12.2(55)SE3 IP Services
My thoughts is that the is only an LACP supported feature so I may not see the command until I have entered an LACP specific command on the port-channel but unfortunately I do not have a 3750X to verify this on at present.

We have a couple of IBM blade chassis with Nexus 4000I 10G blade switch in it. Four 10G ports from each Nexus 4000I switch are bundled into a port channel and connected to Nexus 7K. On the 4k end, one port in the port channel is doing down and coming up as an idividual port. After few minutes it is going down again and coming up as a port-channel member port. View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Netgear N300 router to go along with the Mediacom cable internet I just signed up for. I can plug the ethernet cable straight from the modem into my computer and get internet. Unfortunately this only works after I run the windows diagnostic to correct the errors that wont allow me internet access (unable to connect to IP address, lack of DNS server) but eventually I get access. The instruction then tell me to run the ethernet from the modem to the router and then another cable to my computer from the router. When I do this, I lose all internet access. I thought I just had to instal the router using the provided disk but it never gets past the internet connection test.I have tried to provide the correct IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and dns servers like requested but clearly I am messing something up.

This can be entered as 5 or 13ascii characters or 10 or 16 hexadecimal characters".

I can't get this tablet to connect to the server I have put in all the ssid and the name of the server. When I try to connect it says connecting, then autherizing and then it does a loop and does not ever change,keeps on doing it. In the little shell that is to change color when connected there is a very small lock showing and I am not sure just what todo about this.
