I recently set up my DIR-615 on my wireless netbook. Everything worked fine and I could get online. But then when I changed the password on the router, it bumped me off and now says Internet isn't available. My phone can connect to Internet but not my netbook anymore. When my netbook tries to troubleshoot it keeps saying "problems with router and adapter."

I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"
So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.
it lists:
old password
newpassword
confirm
So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.
A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work
I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK
I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK
I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK
I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..
Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.
Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?
I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.
How do I change the password from the default for the internet?

After changing name and password, the speed became much slower. Checking it with speed test, download is just 0.19 Mbps while upload is 3 Mbps. Wired speed is much better, download is 20 Mbps. So it is not the problem of I provider, comcast. How to solve this problem? I rebooted and reset it already.

(192.168.0.1 -> wireless security -> new pass -> okay -> reboot computer ). After I restarted the computer, the router stopped working. The lights on it are fine, and if I plug the net cable into the computer I have internet too. The problem is, if I plug the cable into the router, I don't have internet. And I can't open 192.168.0.1 either.

Actually, Authentication, authorization and accounting work well but users can not change theirs Active directory password when they have expired. But it couldn't connect wireless. There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. I have tried reset the new router many times but still the ADSL light never lights up. And the ADSL light is ok because when i turn the router on, it lights with all the others.

Router model no. is N 150 DIR-524.After configuring it was working fine for a week or so and then one fine day internet stopped working on my PC and router LED for internet was not glowing as well. So I called my ISP and they changed my ethernet card settings (nVidia).They changed the 'Speed/duplex settings' from 'Auto Negotiation' to '10 Mb Half Duplex' and then the internet started working. During this they had disconnected my router. Once they were gone, I reset the router and connected it back. Since then it ain't working Internet works fine when the cable is plugged directly in the ethernet card but doesn't work when plugged via router. Router does everything right from opening the '192.168.0.1' page to saving the settings. But there's no internet access.

At first my computers would all connect to the router but there was no internet connection. I had to download the latest firmware and install it. After the install succeeded, everything seemed to be okay. However, I now occasionally get the message that the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. Also, the little world symbol on the router constantly flashes at a rapid rate. Before the switch, neither of these two things happened. When I check the download speed it seems fine. The cable modem is an Arris and also handles my telephone service.

Our wireless devices will see the connection but we are unable to connect.We only have one device that uses the 5.0 and multiple devices that use the 2.4 and none of them can connect.I am currently running firmware 2.02. Save Changes Wait for reboot. change my client system's local IP address... so that I can reconnect. direct web browser to http://192.168.73.1/
seen: login page has a select-box for a userid, but no text inside. there is no prompt to ask me to login. I press enter (or whatever... I login). every form interface on all web pages looked at have no labels on text boxes.
I did a view source... and used web-dev tools to look at the page. it looks like the apparent js function, show_words(), is not defined.
change ip address and dhcp address range back to default save changes. wait for reboot. reverse changes to local system things are back to normal. login page has useful text. after logging in, there is something to read.
looking at source again. I see, now, that the js function "show_words" is defined in a file called public.js.
When I change a setup setting and click save settings, most of the time it gets stuck on the "saving..." notification window and eventually I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" notification. However I have found that if I repeatedly try it eventually it will accept the change. This never happens using the wizards only making manual changes. I am running the camera with a Wi-Fi connection. I am not sure this is a router or camera firmware bug (running V1.12)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried changing the WEP to WPA because I recently found out our neighbors were stealing internet from us. However after doing all this changing around I used 192.168... And all that and was able to change the ssid and the passphrase but after doing so the Internet stopped working. We are able to connect but it says there's no service or limited connectivity so no web pages or anything loads. Now I can't get back to the router page by typing that 192.168. stuff because there's no Internet. Don't know what to do. This is my fathers ISP and it's not the greatest considering the location. I've tried unplugging the router and whatnot but that's not working either. I think we need to get back on the router page and fix something but it's not allowing us to since there's no Internet. Am I going to have to change back to a WEP.. I dont really want too. The router may need to be upgraded too because it's pretty ancient.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA router restart. I changed the wpa to wen so I could connect my ds to wifi.So far what I have done was restart the modem, it's a Cisco wag120n. This is a wireless so the moment I changed to wen, I lost connection. I then used a cable to connect to the modem and managed to change the settings in the router page 192.168.1.1 back to wpa but with no success connecting to the Internet. I then tried ressetting the modem and computer with no luck. I cut the power to the modem router and turned off computer for 5 minutes. I then turned the modem back til it was stable and then the computer, again with no luck. I then factory reset via the button manually and via the modem page but both ended up with the unable to connect to primary DNS server.
