Beetel 220BX Modem Gets Hacked Everyday Despite Of Changing Password
Jan 27, 2012
I am in a problem, my modem gets hacked everyday, such that many of the sites do not open and only "http://212.113.36.83/" opens instead of sites like yahho.com, sify.com. I checked on internet many people are facing such issue.Only thing I can do to resolve this is to reset my modem, but still this gets hacked even on changing my password.I am not able to understand how is it possible to modify the settings of modem when I have changed the password.Modem Model: Beetel 220BX.
I cant remember my password and i lost my cd installer. someone hacked my internet line< I want to change my password but cannot get through the router mainframe. How can I access my router?
I've gone through all the motions to change my password and wireless network name, but the original password still appears Linsys admin page and so I can't hook up to wi-fi. Also I have no way of telling what the original password is.
I use ACS appliance 1120 for cisco devices administration. The identity store is external. I use Active directory. Actually, Authentication, authorization and accounting work well but users can not change theirs Active directory password when they have expired. Do you now how to configure ACS to permit password changing?
I recently set up my DIR-615 on my wireless netbook. Everything worked fine and I could get online. But then when I changed the password on the router, it bumped me off and now says Internet isn't available. My phone can connect to Internet but not my netbook anymore. When my netbook tries to troubleshoot it keeps saying "problems with router and adapter."
I've finally gone and done it. I phoned up aol and requested my MAC code. With my new ISP ( possibly ZEN ) if I keep my existing netgear router, can I keep my wireless connection settings the same i.e. network name, wep key etc.If, on the other hand I get Zen's router which is pre configured, I would need to set up the wireless again. Could I still use the same network name and wep key, or would I have to chose new ones.
At my home I have a Westell 6100 DSL modem connected to a computer.AT&T is the ISP and all filters are installed.I use my home computer via VNC applications from a remote location and I began to notice that the VNC local client session was being lost,,,over and over.It was discovered that the WAN IP was changing over and over and happens about once every 5-10 minutes,,,or so. While I have a dynamic WAN IP from ATT, I would not expect the WAN IP to change as often as 7-8 (or more) times a day. At first I thought it was ATT changing my DYNAMIC WAN IP.But, a review of the Westell log file is reporting lost connection(s),,,,,etc, etc,,,,,etc. over and over.Below is a list of the Westell log information showing several hours of behavior. The Westell diagnotics that were run and the SELF test run as expected.Looks like the DSL modem is going bad, a filter is bad, or the line is going bad and needs to be balanced,,,,etc..
Code: All Entries CURRENT MODEM STATUS DSL Modem Status....... Up PPP Session Status...... Up Connection Type......... PPPoE Time set from............. Local
We are upgrading our dsl to cable. We have a cisco 877 router/dsl modem and windows sbs 2003 r2. May I know how do I change the ip addresses in the router, and how do I add a cable modem to the router?
There are a lot articles on the web about changing a wireless connection's password or security key. Pretty simple. But my computer does not remember the change and when trying to reconnect it still has old password and fails.
Im having some problems changing my admin password on my DCS920
I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"
So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.
it lists:
old password newpassword confirm
So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.
A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work
I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK
I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK
I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK
I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..
Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.
Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?
I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.
Recently i have to change my modem (lightning struck) which of course, done by my ISP worker. The problem is, since then, I've been getting the "DNS lookup failed" error message constantly while using Google Chrome. Or sometimes the "This web page is not available - The connection to [URL] was interrupted".I have to refresh the search once or twice to get to the site, which is very annoying. I tried surfing on my friend's laptop, using the same wireless connection and it seemed to work fine. This problem only occurred on MY laptop. One more thing is, the connection doesn't seem to go wrong because i could play online game with no trouble like lagging or disconnection whatsoever. (Starcraft)
These are the details: ISP - Streamyx (malaysia) Broadband - ADSL wireless Modem - ZyXel p-600 series Anti-Virus - Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security Firewall - Windows Firewall

After changing name and password, the speed became much slower. Checking it with speed test, download is just 0.19 Mbps while upload is 3 Mbps. Wired speed is much better, download is 20 Mbps. So it is not the problem of I provider, comcast. How to solve this problem? I rebooted and reset it already.
I have a CANYON Wireless N Router CNP-WF514N1A. It was working properly, but I changed its deafult password to my own . (192.168.0.1 -> wireless security -> new pass -> okay -> reboot computer ). After I restarted the computer, the router stopped working. The lights on it are fine, and if I plug the net cable into the computer I have internet too. The problem is, if I plug the cable into the router, I don't have internet. And I can't open 192.168.0.1 either.
my private ip add is been hacked by someone, I have chk from various sites but the host name is unavailable so pls let me know how to get the host name of that pc & how can i get my ip 10.62.11.33 back to my org
I am using Beetel 450TC1 router with my MTNL Triband (India) internet connection. The router is connected to my PC through an ethernet port. The other devices (laptops and cell phones) connect to the router through WiFi.As I usually download movies through my PC (connected to ethernet) and it hogs a lot of bandwidth, I want to give my PC (or P2P applications) the lowest priority. Thus, when multiple devices are connected and the PC is downloading a huge file, the other users should not get a poor bandwidth/ speed.I accessed the QoS settings page, but it has a lot of fields and I dont know the meaning of most of them.
I had a Airtel connection with me for which i was provided Beetel 450 BXI ADSL2 + Router to connect to net using wi-fi on my laptop. How ever now i have changed my isp to ortel cable net providers.i access net on my laptop using lan cable connected from cable modem to my laptophow to configure Beetel 450 BXI ADSL2 + Router so that i connect my cable modem to Beetel 450 BXI ADSL2 + Router and access net wi-fi on my laptop. my os is vista.
I share my internet connection with my roommate who is very tech savvy. I found out yesterday that he has been hacking into my gmail account and reading my emails. I didn't think it was quite possible and I'm very surprised. He manages the internet connection and has full access/control over it.what can I do to prevent him from accessing my information?
is there anything I can do to prevent this? My last password was yUe!k837A!*5L^PcWgw@H06^ using WPA2-PSK [AES] and they still get through? I turned on the allow list to only allow certain devices through and they somehow add themselves to this list as well? WTF?
I have a Beetel 450BXi modem with is ADSL2+Modem.It was provided by an ISP (ISP-1) however I have changed my ISP (ISP-2) and was using this modem satisfactorily for some time. However due to change in locality, I had to subscribe to a new connection of ISP-2, however the modem is not working even after hard reset. The ISP-2 network guy is not able to figure out the problem. They swapped the modem with their own modem which was working fine, however the beetel modem is not working. In the beetel modem DSL and WLAN links are working perfectly however the Internet link is not working.
How can I make sure I'm not being hacked by a jerk neighbor? Until recently his D-Link repeaters IP addresses showed up on my T Mobile tethered connection.
We have a costumer who has an asterix PBX behind an ASA i configured, the PBX i did not configure, we have several customers with the same setup. Today we have noticed that there PBX got hacked and was making calls to very expensive phone extensions. The guy who configured the PBX is saying that its the ASA who got hacked. In my opinion it is not the ASA that got hacked but i think there is something going on on the internal network.
They from th PBX says when he scans the IP of the customer who got hacked he sees port 5060 sip is open. but in the ASA ther is no port forwarding on that port, how is this possible?I also scanned it myself and it says port 5060 is open, which is weird because there is no port forwarding on port 5060.
I have Beetel 450TC1 Wifi router (3 yrs old) and configured with BSNL broadband. The DSL light goes in stable state whenever I took the phone in dialing mode. And internet working well at that time. When I put my phone down, again goes off!
