I have Beetel 450TC1 Wifi router (3 yrs old) and configured with BSNL broadband. The DSL light goes in stable state whenever I took the phone in dialing mode. And internet working well at that time. When I put my phone down, again goes off!

The other devices (laptops and cell phones) connect to the router through WiFi.As I usually download movies through my PC (connected to ethernet) and it hogs a lot of bandwidth, I want to give my PC (or P2P applications) the lowest priority. Thus, when multiple devices are connected and the PC is downloading a huge file, the other users should not get a poor bandwidth/ speed.I accessed the QoS settings page, but it has a lot of fields and I dont know the meaning of most of them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Beetel 450BXi modem with is ADSL2+Modem.It was provided by an ISP (ISP-1) however I have changed my ISP (ISP-2) and was using this modem satisfactorily for some time. However due to change in locality, I had to subscribe to a new connection of ISP-2, however the modem is not working even after hard reset.The ISP-2 network guy is not able to figure out the problem. They swapped the modem with their own modem which was working fine, however the beetel modem is not working. In the beetel modem DSL and WLAN links are working perfectly however the Internet link is not working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a trouble with my router, our modem is the one that is connected to a TV box and it comes with a wifi function(a modem with a wifi function). I am not sure how to set it up, so I connected it to E4200 which is located in another room using CAT6 flat cable and set it to "Bridge mode". But whenever I open the TV box, the wifi won't work, and when it's closed, it works. :s how weird is that. Are there any problems? The modem with wifi will always work either way I open/close the TV box, but the E4200 wifi will only work when I close the TV box. I asked my service provider about this and they tell me it's not their problem anymore.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 3 computers, all Macs. Two are hooked into my WRT54GP2 via ethernet cables, and one is using WiFi (Airport Extreme). All get an IP number from the router via DCHP (no hard numbers). The router is also hooked up to a Motorola Surfboard cable modem.The two Macs using ethernet have no problems at all, and can access the internet and share files and printers. The WiFi Mac, however, can access the Internet fine, but cannot mount the other machines as file servers. It doesn't even ping them. What is going on in the setup of the router that is preventing the ethernet machines from being seen properly by the WiFi Mac?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've tried all sorts of settings, and I'm still holding out that its a setting possibly, but I have a E3500 and devices on both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz... Most of them, probably when idle, seem to stop working over WIfi. They still have decent connection, but every internet related request just times out. Disable and reinable the wifi and it works great again.
Could this be defective wifi radios? or could it really be interference? I have it happening on multiple devices. Also, I'm not far away from the router when it occurs, and when I reconnect, it seems to work just fine for a while. Basically the big problem is on the cell phones and tablets because I'll miss notifications... I'll turn off the wifi and turn it back on when I use the device next, then a flood of notifications will come in. Again, it's not just a phone thing, tablets and laptops have the same problem, that's just the main reason I want it fixed.
I have a E4200 updated to the latest firmware I have problems with the wifi on the 2.4GHz band, in fact, at power on, many times wi-fi on the 2.4GHz band doesn't work but the 5GHz band works normally. After some reboots the wi-fi operating normally on both bands.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 3 Kindles (2 Kindles with keyboards and 1 kindle touch) that have wifi and they were working fine until our 2Wire router died and we got a new Westell DSL Wireless Gateway from ATT (model: B90-755025-15). All of our other wireless devices are working fine (Ipods, laptop, Ipad) with the new wireless router, but the Kindles will now not connect to our wifi network. I type in the same network key that I did for the other devices but it doesn't work. Amazon said all sofware was up to date on the kindles and it is a problem with the settings on the router because they were working before we got the router. AT&T won't work for me because they say the other devices are working so it must be a problem with the Kindles. Is there a setting I can change on the router or does the Westell router just not work with the Kindles?

A few days ago my internet suddenly stopped working. I plugged in the ethernet cord and everything worked fine. Checking the properties in the device manager showed the device was working properly, I also tried resetting it to make sure it was enabled but it did not work.
Upon troubleshooting, the "Windows Network Diagnostic" said the problems was that the Wireless adapter was not turned on. Using the switch on the front of the laptop as well as the function keys does nothing. Usually a graphic pops up showing if the WiFi is on or off, changinging transparent to show the WiFi is disabled. Now when I turn the switch on it always appears transparent, effectively going from off to off
So I know the computer reads both the function keys and the switch on the front but both methods never actually turns the adapter on. I just finished a system restore and nothing has changed

As soon as the desktop is no longer trying to access the Internet, all other wireless connections work without a problem. Base computer is Windows Vista Home Premium with all latest updates installed.Other connections include 2 laptops (one Win7, one PCLinuxOS), 2 Kindle Fire, Wii, iPod Touch, four cell phones, and Sony Media Player. They're never running all at once. But any number of them can run fine-- as long as the desktop isn't online at the time.

I tried restarting 3 times and that didn't fix anything. I try to repair the connection and it tells me it failed.
