May 29, 2013After reboot WLC , the switch port was err-disable , the cause is link flap after we reboot 3 times , the switch port link flap err-disable every time? We don't know why the WLC rebboot will cause it , it just normal action on device the WLC version is 7.4.100.0 link switch with access port , no port channel , no portfast.

Now, the iPhone connection works, but for some reason my PC prefers to use my original Internet connection thus no connection. The only way I can access the Internet is by going into adapter settings and disabling my router, but I do not want to do this as I have other computers on the network and I often share files.

Sep 11, 2011I'm running Arch Linux on an Acer laptop and my wirless connection doesn't stay up. After a while it disconnects, and when I try to reconnect I get stuck with a "Waiting for authorization" message. I have to retry several times before getting the connection stay up for few minutes. This happens with both networkmanager and wicd. The strange thing is that the iMac that sits next to the laptop connects fine, and when I use my laptop within the university wireless network it works normally.

Nov 23, 2012I have 2 XP machines, both connected to a network switch which connects them to a print server attached to a printer. The last print server recently died and has been replaced, but the problem remains. I've downloaded the driver from the printer manufacturers website and installed on both XP machines, one functions fine but after each reboot the printer is grayed out on the other. Removing it and adding again fixes this until the next reboot.I am aware of some networking issues at this site which result in a few dropped packets between sites but shouldn't be an issue here since they are all attached to the same switch.

It seems that frequently either via cloud or local i get the cannot find router message or waiting graphic which results me in having to manually reboot the router so that i can access the admin page again, The router still works fine but no admin access until i physically reboot. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of using cloud if just by accessing the router or making changes it leaves admin access inoperable!

Mar 28, 2011I have a problem with a client/server app: It is a web application that resides in C:inetpubwwwroot (aspx pages) of the server. The client is a Windows app that is installed into Program Files on the clients and when running receives commands from a webservice on the server. When I install it on a PC on our own test environment it communicates with the server perfectly, no matter how many times I re-boot the client, the connection never goes down. When I give the client to someone on a separate domain, they install it and everything is OK. However, once they reboot the PC (Windows XP) the connection to the server fails. The can still ping the server from the PC, they can even see the web service is up and running by typing into a browser but the connection now fails. If I get them to uninstall the client all and re-install, it is fine again. As I say, it is a reboot that breaks it (communication to the web service that is.) My problem is that I am completley blind to the setup on the client-side of those I give it to (I only email it to them, I have only been in the site once). The PC is obviously on a domain (with static ip addresses I assume) but other than that i know nothing. I think it is something similar to the way when you map a drive in Windows and then when you reboot it has lost the connection and you have to re-map it.

Oct 10, 2011I want to disable the guest access connection on E1000 wireless router but this option is not in the firmware menu. So, now I read that I need to use Cisco Connect on the CD to change this feature. When I run the Cisco Connect software, it says it can't configure the router (probably because I already have it configured). Why doesn't the Cisco Connect software simply take me to the settings where I can change the guest access feature? Why does it try to re-configure the router? Whoever designed this at Cisco was probably smokin some medical MJ because it doesn't make any sense that I have to go through so many hoops to do something so simple.
