Nov 19, 2012I am looking for a 3G mobile broadband wireless router WITH dual band frequencies and 4 gigabyte ports OR could the DAP-1350 be connected to my DIR 655 that at least has the gigabyte ethernet ports? (Would I connect it to the Internet port or to one of the Ethernet ports and turn the 655 into an access point?)
I have a sprint 250u Sierra USB for my Internet. There isn't anything else available where I live, and don't even get me started on satellite Internet .What I'd like to do is have an Internet connection with a wireless router with dual band frequencies and at least 4 gigabyte switch ports to share a NAS device that I'm going to buy in the near future along with a printer and surveillance camera. That way I don't have to have multiple wireless devices to connect to for what I want to be able to do.

Possible to use a mobile via the usb connection on a TL-MR3020. The reason being is that my mobile data plan allows unlimited tethering through my phone...yet when I place the sim from the phone in the usb modem I get blocked by the provider stating that the sim can only be used in a mobile phone. Mobile data plans in the UK are very expensive and you get very little for your money.

Jun 21, 2011I just installed my new DCS-2121 and enabled upnp to be able to watch the feed from my mobile.While being on vacation I noticed that the feed redirected to some strange Russian site,[URL]Back home now, I noticed that the /m/m/index.html file contains an iframe at the bottom, that redirects there. So someone (not me) has been able to alter the index on the wap site and add that at the end some way or the other.While Googling I found only one reference on a French forum, and other than the lack of newer firmware for the camera no direct reactions to this.I tried with a simple PUT to put the original file back, without the iframe at the bottom, but there I get a 403.
- When can we expect new firmware to fix this HUGE security problem?
- How to restore the original (and yes, I tried a factory reset, but that doesn't restore the html files it seems)
- How did they manage?
It seems from the config db that it's an OEM'ed alphanetworks.com camera with a lot more options that d-link put in there. Any input from them maybe, it seems they are writing the firmware?

I am using tp link router for accessing internet in my laptop and mobile. everything is opening in my laptop but i had few problems when using internet in mobile. im using android mobile. when using play store the images and screen shots of applications are not loading but im able to download. Mar 12, 2011I have spent two days on the phone with virgin mobile broadband where I bought the device and they do not know what I am talking about.First of all the mifi is working fine on the one and only computer I have set up so for..it is Vista operating system..I am trying to set up my vista computer as an FTP server on the mifi or wifi or whatever you call it.when I disable the DHCP service on this virgin mobile mifi device so that I can generate my own internal ip for this particular computer..It is not functioning that is I cannot connect to the internet..I tried to get from Virginmobile the DNS server address but they were confused...When I log into the device itself under advanced options it does allow for me to disable DHCP..but my problem is what IP do I use when setting up the wireless connections, I disengaged the automatic, but I am having a heck of a time trying to use the right IP then the gateway address and the DNS.

It will identify that the network is there but, will not access it. Is there a difference between what a desktop wireless card will access and what a laptop or mobile device will talk with.There seems to be because the MIFI will connect to a Droid and a laptop but, not to the desktop I want it to.Is there a different card or some kind of USB thingy that I can use to make the two devices talk.

MIFI is a verizon cellular product to connect up to 5 computers.It will work when plugged in directly but, not when it has to use the wireless card.The computer I want to connect has a wireless card and will recognize the network but, won't connect. It is a desktop, not a laptop or mobile device.Turns out that you can buy a WiFi adapter in a USB plug and play device for a newegg price of 7.99 dollars to a high price of about 150 bucks.Is there any card that I can put inside the computer so I can make this permanent?

I just updated the firmware this morning and it still seems to be working great. This is the first upgrade I have ever done to it. Anyway, what I am trying to accomplish, I have discovered that I can remotely connect to my office computer through my iPad using itap RDP and a VPN connection. I have already been able to use itap RDP in the office to show patients their x-rays etc... on the iPad. I have a cisco RVO82 router and my office software suggests the use of a PPTP VPN to connect remotely. I have checked all the settings and I have everything set as described. The iPad shows a VPN connection icon but when I try to connect to my computer, I get a TCP error. From what I have read, some people are able to connect via VPN on the 4150L and others are not.

Aug 14, 2011Currently I am hosting a 7 day mountain retreat, for about 90+ people. Clearly they are dependent on the internet teet as am I I am trying very hard to provide internet to our friends, but I just can't seem to figure it out I have a Mobile Broadband Router (MBBR) which limits connected devices to 6, so I figured that if connect a home router with wifi (WIFI) that allows 253 connections problem solved right? So I put a short LAN cable from the LAN port on the MBBR to the WAN port on the WIFI and presto! The WIFI gets a IP address, but does not allow other users of the WIFI to get internet. I've even killed all security on the WIFI and put the WIFIs IP in the DMZ on the MBBR. I noticed the DNS was the same as the gateway on the WIFI, so I changed that to the DNS on the MBBR still nothing.
PS Yes I have a connection on the MBBR I am on it now.Connecting the LAN cable from the MBBRs LAN to the WIFIs LAN extends the range, and grants internet to the WIFI users... but uses the MBBRs DHCP to give IP addresses, which limits to 6.I guess the goal here is bypass the limitation of the MBBR by using the WIFIs DHCP to issue IPs?

The other laptop is running on windows7 and has wireless card. Both computers are connected wirelessly via router on private network within workgroup and can share files between each other. The mobile broadband dongle is connected to desktop pc and desktop is running the internet Now I want the desktop pc which is running internet by wireless dongle to share that internet with laptop via wireless router. I have tried setting is up but couldn't do that. When I connect the dongle to desktop pc it use the same IP address 192.168.1.1 which is already used by wireless router. Tried to configure different IP in router but didn't work.
