Ace is running A5(1.2)Content types considered static (like images, stylesheets and javascripts) should be fetched from caches instead of servers.Content from the caches that can be compressed should be compressed by the ACE (stylesheets and javascripts).I am classifying traffic into * static, not compressable (content should be fetched from caches but is already compressed - this class will hold .jpg, .gif, .png, .ico and others - but for this experiment the class is defined with only (a never to be hit) content type .xico* static, compressable (content should be fetched from caches but can be compressed by the ACE - this class will hold .css and .js but for this experiment is defined only with (never to be hit) content types .xjs and .xcssother For statistics purpose I have included a catch all class for everything else (which shold be send to servers) - class-default is configured but will not be hit in this example because of the catch-all class I configured.Since both "STATIC" classes include only content types that has been renamed to content types not used in the real world, I will not expect any hits on those and since WWW.SITENAME.COM:80_STATIC_COMPRESSABLE is the only class configured for compression I expect that nothing will be compressed since there wil be no hits on this class.

Questions are: Why do I see things being compressed when there is only being accounted hits in a compression:off class ?Why does enabling compression in one class (never being hit) cause hits in other clases to be compressed ?
We have CUCM & lync server setup and its working fine if any one calling each other with DNS load balancing. But customer want ot use Cisco ACE 4710 instead of DNS LB.We have configured Cisco LB and deploy but when CUCM user calling to lync user call going to disconnect after 4 sec and also Lync users unable to make call to CUCM.And also LB deploye between share point but when users are trying to open web session that time web page going to show page cannot display.

I know the CSS is too old but I have one in production environment and I was asked if it is possible to CSS to make NAT from inside addresses and translate them into one external IP address to diferent kind of communications, for example: 172.16.4.9 and 172.16.4.10 (inside addresses) should start connection to external IP addresses destinations 50.50.50.50 / 60.60.60.60 70.70.70.70 / 80.80.80.80 and so on, the default gateway to those Servers is the CSS and I would like to know if it is possible that all connection to external world to be translate into one IP address 172.16.4.100.

So for example rserver1 and rserver2 are put in serverfarm production1 and are in use with particular sticky and load balancing settings.
Can I then create serverfarm test_production and put both rserver1 and rserver2 in it? Then play around with the sticky and load balancing settings as a test without affecting the production serverfarm.
I'm trying to design a CSS configuration that allows servers in the same vlan to be the source and destination of load-balanced traffic. My thought is to add two new vlans, one for the VIPs and one for the servers, then NAT the source IPs going from the LB to the servers.
Is this the right way to do it?I've never NATted using CSSs, so I wanted to verify what I'm thinking.Our current config trunks the vlans -

I have an DLINK-dir 815 router.. I have tried for 10 hours to get broadcast IP to work, no luck.. All html/javascript modifications = no luck..The WOL works on LAN, but not over internet, so I figure it's the broadcast IP that needs to be virtual servered?

I need an IPv4 address as well. My host (running Windows 7) gets has both an IPv4 and IPv6 address listed when I run ipconfig. When I run ifconfig on the guest (running Ubuntu Server), it only lists IPv6.

We are currently running ANM server version 4.1. I am trying to upgrade to version 5.1. But when I run the "application upgrade anm-va-5.1.ova Upgrade" command, I receive an error that states: "Manifest file not found in the bundle".I then tried to run the install command with the same error.

Assume you have a group of computer connecter to a switch, this switch is connected to a router which has the connection to your ISP. On the router, you also have connected a server farm for your network and all the apps are stored there, say MS Word, Excel and such.Now, you have your network running, every ping comes out successful, so you know you did that part right, so the next part is to get the host use the MS Word or any other app in that server. How do you do that? Is there something that need to be configured on router/switch or is it with a software on your host? If its a software, whats the name of it and how you make it work?
If we use an ACE4710 to load balance two real servers, obviously it will use health checks to determine if a server is down.When it detects a server is down, it will not send it any more traffic.But can we also have it take any other action? For example maybe email an admin, or send an SNMP trap? Or better yet, can we use a custom TCL script to do other things, like launch some custom activities?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a working server running ISE version 1.1.0.665 but someone in the build room decided to pull the power out of the server rather than shutting it down correctly. I have booted the server back up however the web management page was not accessable. I have checked the server status and the end result is the Application Server in the "still initializing" stage. I have left the server for several hours and the status has not changed.
I know people have previously run into this issue but no one has posted any resolution or confirmed that a rebuild is the only solution. I have tried to create an on-demand backup but it seems to fail when attempting to provide the credentials (which are correct) for the FTP server.

I have a Cisco ACE 4710 A5(1.2). Scenario: Inbound call from PSTN to SIP Phone. Call comes into the VIP and then load balances to sip server, the server then routes the call out via WAN to the SIP phone as below:
PSTN SIP Providor >(router)> ACE4710 > sip_server(s) > ACE4710 > (router) >SIP Phone
Note: Router is Cisco 3925 with "ip nat service sip udp port 5060" and Port 5060 mapped to the VIP of the ACE.If I put the sip server directly behind the router it works fine. From behind the ACE:
If I turn on sip inspect on the VIP the call setup (INVITE) and termination (BYE) work fine but the audio loops on the PSTN side from the mic to the speaker.If I turn OFF sip inspect then the audio is fine and mapped correctly but the call terminaton (SIP BYE) hits the VIP from the PSTN but never reaches the sip server.For ease and dianostics, I have turned off all sip servers except one meaning the load-balancer has only one server to choose from.SIP Call_id sticky is setup and seems to work, though irrelevent with one server only on test.How do I get the ACE to accept 'server initiated traffic' with sip inspect so it knows about the pending BYE when it comes back from the IP phone via the VIP?Config below, image attached.
