I am using a USB Modem from HUAWEI Technologies to use internet when im not on a wifi zone.. The Internet Speed is kinda slow (512 kbps), so I configured my browser to go through a proxy to make it a lil bit faster (2mbps now)..Everything works fine except that I couldn't connect to https sites (gmail, facebook, eBay, etc)

Sites are completely random, some examples are GamersLegacy.it - Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Dota2, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Inferno eSports - Homepage (videogames forum)FINECO: Conto, Investimenti, Trading, Prestiti e Mutui - Banca diretta, online o con promotore (bank) Sigma Draconis
1) Cleaned laptop with Ad-aware and Malwarebytes, found 2 issues but didn't fix the problem.
2) Closed firewall, nothing either.
3) Canghed/flushed DNS, tried both openDNS and GoogleDNS, nothing.
4) She CAN access those sites, she has same connection to the router (via wireless) and she has same OS (Windows Seven). I think that means it's my problem, not a router one.
5) Tried to lower MTU settings in my wireless connection as I read that could be the problem, nothing new here.
6) Here comes the tricky part. I tried to access those sites via proxy (Ninja Cloak | Fast, free, anonymous web browsing with NinjaCloak.com) and they actually work!

I have recently been having a very annoying problem with my internet connection. I am not able to connect to some websites: the sites that are unavailable can not be accessed on any device connected to my home network (wireless or plugged directly into the router). I know that the problem does not lie with the sites themselves, since they are working for other people, and I know the sites are not blocking my IP, because when I reset the router, the problem sites become accessible but other sites become inaccessible (on all devices). The problem isn't the router either: I've tried two, and the same problem has arisen with both. Moreover, I have established that the problem does not lie with DNS resolution. I have repeatedly flushed the DNS cache; DNS lookups work fine on the problem sites, but when I ping the given IP addresses I am getting some packet loss (not necessarily 100% loss). When I use a proxy, I can access the sites without any problem.

dosen't support my huawei E392 4G modem. if possible would you make bin for this. there is not other modems that you can get for 4G connections from the service provider so it would be nice if there was more compatibility than some old ancient modems. starts to feel like this is been sold as 4G router and dosen't actually support that at all.

I have a Pre-existing repeating netgear network of a WNR2200 router set up as a base station with a harddrive plugged into it as a network device (readyshare) and another WNR2200 router set up as a repeater.
I want to supply this network using Huawei B260a modem (on the Three network).
I currently have this setup; The b260a IP is 10.0.0.1 subnet 225.225.225.0 and has DHCP turned on (range 10.0.0.100 - 10.0.0.200). This is plugged into the internet lan port of the base station wnr2200. The base station IP is 192.168.1.1 subnet 225.225.225.0 and has DHCP turned on (range 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254) The repeater Wnr2200 is automatically an access point and has an IP of 192.168.1.254
This setup works but the speeds are around 1-2mb slower when connected to the netgear network than if connected directly to the B260a.
i have a adsl modem tp link td 8840, and i had this up and running well for about 3 days. then we decided to get a router cause my little sis got a ipad2.the router is dlink dir 61.so basically i followed all the instructions and the internet was working fine.then for some reason ign site stopped working, i thought that it was down for some reason and didn't think much of it and today when i tryed to go into hotmail or facebook it doesn't work either. so i can get into the log in pages of both, but when i put in the id and password, the screen goes blank and just says waiting for .... on the bottom (using google chrome).and it never loads.i tryed with other internet browsers and it din't work so i took out the router and re wired the adsl modem only and voila. all the sites started working again.i want to use my router but i don't know why i can't acess some sites when i have it connected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI moved into a new apartment in Mexico City a month ago. The internet, already installed when I moved in, comes through a device called a Huawei EchoLife HG8427. For the first month of my residence, the internet worked perfectly. Suddenly, on a recent day, I was no longer able to connect to the internet, though I was still connected to the network. This problem has persisted for some time now.I have tried just about everything that I know how to, including restarting the modem, fiddling with my IPv4/6 settings, disabling/enabling my connection, disabling my firewall, ipconfic/flushdns/registerdns, ipconfig/reset/renew, and probably a few other things that I have now forgotten.
My computer, a Toshiba NB505 running Windows 7 Starter 32-bit, has no problem connecting to the internet via other networks. Ping tests show that I am indeed connected to the network and have no OS problems. I do not have any McAffee software (I read somewhere that this was a problem for some people). I cannot do a hard reset because the modem does not belong to me and serves several other people living here (this is sort of a short-stay guesthouse). This afternoon, the map on my network and sharing center briefly showed a successful internet connection (for about 10 minutes). I was wondering is it possible to have one router in my room which my desktops plug into - and then the router to ""Bridge" with the one downstairs to give me wireless capability. I believe its called bridging but i have had no hopen as of yet. Huawei HG520b and Huawei HG532 are my two routers. I know this can be done by purchasing a wire - but i cannot afford a 100m cable and i am not particularly interested in purchasing an adapter for my desktops.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI access the internet from my company�s LAN, which has a restrictive firewall, so I cannot request the admin to open any ports manually for me. Hence I use a software called your-freedom. This proxy software supports both http as well as socks 4 and 5 proxy (by entering the proxy IP 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and Port 8080 for http proxy OR 1080 for Socks Proxy), and I have successfully been using web browsers and some other softwares that support proxy/ allow proxy info to be entered to login/ connect to the internet. Your-Freedom also supports port forwarding.However, the softwares I intend to use do not have any options to enter proxy methods or proxy ports (as far as I have noticed). I have tried to proxify these 2 softwares using softwares such as SocksCap and Free Cap, but either they don�t work, or my settings in proxifying are not correct. I believe I will have to do port forwarding or proxify the softwares, but have been unable to do so in the correct manner.
Following is the info on the 2 softwares:
1.NOW Trading terminal:[FONT=Times New Roman]Normally when I start the NOW or Zerodha software, the software starts and I get a login screen, but under firewall conditions, I get the initial Splash screen but then the software stops with the error: [b][u]NOW Initialisation failed for Interactive Engine << os error>>.

I converted this batch file to .exe (with battoexe software) and then ran it through a proxifying software. The .exe start properly without proxifying software but not under proxifying environment. Basically the software needs to connect to the internet using Port 443. I am also expected to keep ports 443, 41599 and 59598 open. software's requirement is available at Indiabulls Securities: Indiabulls Securities is a leading capital market company offering securities broking and advisory services, depository services, equity research services to its clients in India. (item no. 5).To confirm, while the software is unable to connect through port 443, you will get an error message: "Connection to Login Server could not be established" when you try to login with any random Username and Password.To know that the software is able to connect properly, you will get an error: "This User ID is not enabled to be used with this product".
my situation is that i have to connect 2 site which are 1km apart our data speed requirement is not so high 64kbps is enough so i heard this kind of setup is it best

Each time I enter the proxy address and everything and it doesn't pop up an error message or anything like that, it simply doesn't connect to the internet or give the opportunity to input my password and username.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a laptop that works perfectly fine when plugged into a network cable, but the wifi refuses to work. It pulls an ip, and everything looks good when I run ipconfig/all, but it can't even ping the router. All other computers on the network are working fine. I've flushed dns, set static IP and DNS, uninstalled/reinstall device, updated drivers, bios, and firmware, and even created a backup image of the computer and reloaded the os using the recovery partition. The event log doesn't tell me anything, and there are no flags in the device manager. I'm at a complete and total loss. I cannot figure this one out.The laptop is a Compaq Presario CQ50-142US. Vista 32bit OS. Everything was working perfectly fine before it got a virus. I ran through the standard procedures of AVG, Malwarebytes, TDSSKiller, and even resorted to Combofix, but somewhere along the line the wifi dropped off and will not come back.I even double checked the HOSTS file and IE proxy settings to ensure I wasn't crazy; although I know those should've affected the wired connect too.My last step is to either replace the wifi chip (which I don't think is the problem), or wipe it and load the os from scratch, but I don't have an oem disc since it has the recovery partition.

When my computer is hooked up to the cable model directly, i am able to connect to outlook.com just fine but when i go through my router, it can't connect to the site. I played with MTU (lower it by 10) all the way to 1300 but it didn't work.The problem started happening all the sudden without any changes in the cable modem, router or my computer.
