Mar 5, 2011I have a lynksys Router WAG325N Wireless+ADSL2 .... It was working fine till last week.. Now its not working, When I reset I can connect through wireless on IP 192.168.1.1... But I cannot connect with lan port(checked with all the ports).. Even its not pinging...My system firewall is turned OFF... I am using a straight Cable.. I Updated the firmware.. but same result.. I dont know more about configurations.. Is it hardware issue or configurations?..

Aug 15, 2011I've just attempted to uprade the firmware on my WAG325N from 1.0.6 to 1.0.12 the latest, over wireless. It will not work with Ethernet. It started to upgrade and failed with a garbled screen in my browser. No message to reset. Tried a complete reset several times. Pressing reset, power off for 30 secs. When I attempt to connect wirelessly with browser, just get a garbled screen, with no menus.

I have a D-link wireless-N USB adapter whos MAC address starts with 1C:xx:xx:etc. Unfortunately the QOS GUI does not allow me to enter a MAC address that starts with anything but a zero (0). This is a javascript verification so I guess it would be fairly simple to modify this. Is it possible to have the firmware updated so these MAC addresses are accepted?

Oct 12, 2011I'm using the Linksys Wag325N which always served me well. I've always been able to get my VPN to my workplace going. Until now. I've edited a hostfile on my mac (etc/ppp/ip-up) to get a route setup to be able to use internet and the vpn at the same time. But now the vpn would work no more. Why do i think that it is a router problem? Because other computers in my home network aren't able to establish the vpn they used to work with for a long time.
1. is it possible that my /etc/ppp/ip-up on my computer messes up the router?
2. Is there a way to completely reset my router? Tried "restore to factory settings" which did not work. Is there a "harder" reset?

Dec 13, 2012We have a SBS 2003 server with two NIC's, one for the internal LAN and the other connecting to the WAG160Nv2 that is hooked up to the internet.The internal LAN clients are all getting IP addresses from the DHCP server in the SBS Server (192.168.16.XXX). The DHCP server is sat at 192.168.16.2.The only thing connected to the LAN ports on the WAG160Nv2 is the Internet facing NIC from the server.What I want to do is to get the WAG160Nv2 to give IP addresses to Wireless connections going through the router, can I configure the DHCP relay option on the WAG160Nv2 to do this, I have looked at the DHCP relay option but it doesn't seem to work, my wireless connections are getting private 169.254.xxx.xxx addresses.Also is there anything I can do to make the wireless more Apple friendly, iPhones and iPads drop of the wireless frequently, that's why I trying a different approach.

Jan 8, 2010I have recently purchased a WAG320N. It is working perfectly, connecting 3 PC's, 2 Xbox 360's and a laptop to the internet and each other.
However as all media files are stored on one PC I was thinking about getting a external USB drive and connecting this to the router and use that as the media server, this would save a PC having to be on all the time.
I use one of the xboxes as a media player as well, streaming movies and music. Will the 360 pick up the media server and be able to stream from there?I can not find anything on the internet as well about the possibilities for this.

It appears to be working but before I got the cable modem I had it connected to a router and it was set-up with a static IP address. Nov 11, 2012Over the passed couple of weeks I have experienced issues trying to connect to the internet via the LAN Ports. My main PC and a Xbox cannot connect to the internet even though 3 laptops have no problems using the Wifi connectivity.I have had two live chats with Cisco engineers and the first resolution was to perform a firmware upgrade which did solve the issue for a day or two. I think it was more to do with reset the modem/router rather than the firmware upgrade. The second session ended with the eingineer advising me to take the equipment back to PC and seek a replacement simply because Ciso have nothing in writing relating to this problem.

Sep 18, 2011I run a X2000 router for some weeks and it works properly basically - with one exception.WIFI attached devices (Win7, Vista, Android) can go to the internet without having any problem. But they cannot access my local servers (Media-Server, Storage server). I access with normal settings (not the guest) but the behavior is similar to what I expected from the guest-WIFI: protect resources in LAN.Anyway, for historical reason I have also another WIFI Hotspot in the LAN what is connected to the X2000 via cable. If the same devices connect to this hotspot, everything works fine. So the problem isn't caused by the servers.

I tried using the disk that came with the device but the software reports as if I am not connected to the router. I tried pinging 192.168.1.1 and I get >1 ms so that confirms the device is active and responsive.

May 27, 2011I access my home computers via teamviewer or logmein. My router is a Wag320n
Sometimes my internet connection is lost and if I'm home, I just reset it and the internet is on again.
But when I am away and the internet connection is lost, I can not access my computer. If only I could reset it, I would be able to access the computers I am trying to find a solution to do this.
Practically when the internet connection is lost, the modem does not get an IP from the ISP right? And when this IP is not assigned, there is no way of connecting to the router itself right? Is there a way of pinging or resetting or accessing a modem that is connected to he phone line? I think it is impossible. Or maybe it is possible via some MAC address search or sniffer or I don't know.
Another option would be to somehow have the modem reset, let's say every hour automatically so that the max time I would not be able to accss my computers remotely would be 1 hour.
