Linksys Wireless Router :: Set Torrent Download To Write Directly To The USB Drive On E3000?
Jan 7, 2011If I try to set a torrent download to write directly to the USB drive on my E3000, it only works for a few minutes (at low speeds) and then I lose access to the drive and the torrent stops. I can access the drive again less than a minute afterwards.
It'd be handy to be able to write torrents straight to the USB drive instead of having to move the completed files to it after the torrent is finished.

Jul 2, 2012I recently purchased the router and got the CCC firmware on. It works fine for a while but then I can't connect to the router using my PC unless I log using the remote credentials. Generally if this were the case I wouldn't care but when I do it that way I can't run the speed test. After I reboot the router it works fine again, for a while.
For some reason, it doesn't detect my PC as being connected directly although my PC is connected by wire, directly to the router.

Mar 22, 2013I just setup an EA4500 last night and found the downlaod speed became 1/10 of my previous E3200 before. I tried to use different channels & 20MHz only for wireless connection but no success. The wired connection through Ethernet port was in the same low speed. What else should I try?

May 25, 2012I just upgraded my E4200v1 router to a new EA4500. The install process went fine and I'm running firmware 2.0.37.When I was running the E4200v1, I had wireless speeds of 24-30mbs. Since upgrading to the EA4500, I only have 5-8mbs wireless speed.

I couldn't believe my eyes... May 7, 2012Just a few things I've noticed with this build..
1.) If you reboot the modem, it seems to loose UPnP settings. I have to turn UPnP off then back on again in order UPnP to work normally.
2.) Probably petty but when I click the Disconnect button under Router Status, the page doesn't automatically refresh like it did with E4200v1. I have to manually refresh to get the connect button to appear. The refresh issue is also true within the mobile app. Again, not an issue with E4200v1.

When i download the firmware it wants to download as a .bin file and open VLC Media player!? How do i change this or what do I need to open it with?

Aug 1, 2011link to the original v1.0.0 firmware for the E4200. That was the best firmware for me and sadly I can't find a link to go back. v1.0.0 really had no problems for me. I initially skipped v1.0.1 becuase it disabled IPv6 which is a feature I want. v1.0.2 broke my YouTube and Netflix streaming. So I went back to v1.0.1 and my Netflix and YouTubue steaming returned to normal but I lost IPv6.
Any solution to Netflix and YouTube streaming problem on v1.0.2 when IPv6 is configured. (I'm positive the video is streaming over IPv4, but the IPv6 connectivity is available.)

I just bought a v3 TD-W8960N and I'm trying to see what is the latest firmware available?On the modem it came with 1.4.0 Build 111130 Rel.56405n.When I look on the website the listed latest version is w8960nv1_un_1_4_0_111108R40398.up (that is the file inside the zip package/link TD-W8960N_V1_V3_111108)Which is the newer version? The revision number on the firmware that came installed kind of looks like it is actually newer. But if it is newer, why is not available for download from TP-Link?
