Cisco Firewall :: ASA5505 And Asterisk Remote Softphone Doesn't Work
Jan 5, 2012I have a problem with mi telephony server. My network topology is very simple. I have an ASA5505 connected to Internet throught an ISP. Behind ASA5505 I have a ToIP Server that operate well inside LAN network. However, when I try to register two or more extensions (Softphones) from Internet, Softphones some times it registers sucessfully, but some times doesn´t work.
The other hand, when softphones outside from LAN get register sucessfully in Asterisk server, is not possible that one of this calling the other one, and Asterisk server detects them as "UNREACHABLE". I don´t know if the problem are all commands of traffic inspect or if the problem is referenced to a particular UC proxy License.

Cisco AAA/Identity/Nac :: Making ACS 5.3 Work Correctly With NCS
Jun 18, 2012I am trying to get the ACS 5.3 to work with NCS but cannot make it work correctly. url...But this does not show how the ACS referencing AD groups would work when determining which custom attributes to use.
On the ACS 5.3 i have set up the following .The ad is working and in Users and identity stores/External identity stores/Active Directory then my AD test works fine.I have set up the Users and Identity stores/Identity Groups with appropriate ip s.I have configured the Network Device Groups/Network Devices and AAA Clients with the ip address and Authenication optionsA.In Policy Elements/Authorisation and Permissions/device administration/shell profiles.I have creeated a shell profile called network shell pro which das a common tasks of def priv = 0 and max priv = 15
Now i can get into the NCS but i do not see any of the administration buttons on NCS - so this means the custom attributes are not working.i shouldnt need a user for this on the ACS as its using AD.

Sep 1, 2011I have a customer with an ASA5505 where it will not reply to SNMP polls from any source, i have followed the configuration guide [URL].at and tested another ASA in our internal network and i have that working fine on our LAN, here is the snmp and logging sections of the show-run on the ASA, it there anything obvious im missing to make the SNMP work on this device?

D-Link DIR-825 :: Can't Get VOIP ATA To Work Properly
Aug 18, 2012I can't get my VOIP ATA (linksys SPA-2102) to work properly with the shiny new DIR-835. I updated the firmware to 1.02 and messed around with various settings but it just won't work. Well, I can get registered and everything looks ok but, when I receive a call, the person at the other end can't hear me. I can hear them fine, but they can't hear me. I don't have any problem when I call someone. Still, it is frustrating. The problem persist even though I put the ATA in the DMZ.

Aug 8, 2009I have a DIR-825 since a couple of days, Hardware version B1, firmware 2.01EU (date Fri, 12, Jun, 2009 = latest european firmware) Have portforwarding for ports 25, 80, 443, 143, 993 via virtual server to a local linux server (192.168.0.3)
My (SIP protocol) VOIP phone (192.168.0.100) does not work anymore since I use this router. It worked fine on my old WRT54G. The phone logs-in normally at the voip provider but when I make a call, it seems that the ports are not forwarded or are blocked by the firewall. I have tried to manually setup portforwarding and virtual server instead of portforwarding.
I have tried many things, from disabling QOS, SPI, end point filtering and more but it does not work. I have also programmed DMZ for my ip-phone, but it does not work. Nothing found in the logfiles about frame drops. (I have setup a syslog on my linux-server)
There seems to be a bug causing frames dropped, as my setup has always worked with my WRT54, and should work with DMZ set, but it does not. The same setup works fine on a DIR-655 of a friend.
Linksys Wireless Router :: VOIP Does Not Work Via E4200?
Jul 25, 2011I have a new Polycom Soundpoint IP550 VOIP phone that was not connecting via my old WRT54GS router. I purchased a new router, the E4200, thinking it was just the age of my original router. It also will not allow the VOIP traffic through. I can connect the VOIP phone directly to my CenturyLink modem and it works. But when I connect it back to the router it stops.
I contacted Cisco support and they had me upgrade the firmware to 1.0.02 build 13 May 24, 2011 version. Also adjusted down the MTU to 1364. That still did not work so they told me to take the router back to the store. I have not done that yet as I want to ensure that the router is really broken and not that I am missing a setting. The tech said that I should be able to plug the VOIP phone into the router and make NO additional changes.

May 21, 2011I purchased Linksys WAG160N (from a store) and I also have 7 Linksys SPA962 VOIP phones provided by MyNetPhone with service included. All tests we found out that this modem doesn't work with this VOIP phones. Somehow probably doesn't give access to MyNetPhone servers to get connection with this phones.I purchased an other one from DLINK and works perfect?

Feb 22, 2012i want to make my minecraft and gmod servers permanent so i got stupid and built a low powered server out of an old athlon media pc i had laying around. anyways my current setup i have going is my main router is in the basement and i have a dd-wrt d-link repeater in my room. ok so i gave the repeater a static ip of 192.168.1.56, and gave my server a static ip of 192.168.69.25 (i made the ip of the repeater 192.168.69.1) i forwarded all the necessary ports to the static ip of the repeater then to the static ip of the server. but my servers wont work. on minecraft it says "end of stream" but if i look at the active server log on the server it says "myipaddress has lost connection" and on gmod i just cant connect or see my server at all.

Is this correct? I'm not sure whether the default gateway should be 192.168.0.255 (as would with normal subnets) or as I wrote down 192.168.0.126, this is the first time i've ever gotten assignments including VLANs and I havn't really gotten a solid explanation.

Example, I have a Nintendo USB Wireless Adapter. All I do is stick it into my computer's USB port and it becomes a hotspot that I use to connect to my Nintendo DS to the internet wirelessly. So I basically thought that my Belkin adapter would be able to do the same thing only with whatever other devices I try, not my DS.

Thinking of moving my moden and router to TV and making my desktop wireless and hardwireing my media server I think it called ( still yet to be bought still doing home work on which one to get and how to hook up ) Thinking less signal loss be hardwired to media server. I now have AT&T DSL 1.5 MB upgrading to 6.0 MB to stream netflicks . Do you think 6 MB will steam OK? Should I Go with just a USB adapter or go to PCI internal Adapter? In reading some of the other post seems hit or miss on adapter seeing and working with routher. Is there a brand or type of adapte I should look at? as I said Desktop will now be wireless media hardwire dose this sound like the way to go about doing this? Any media server that seems to work better than others . not doing x box or Wii not a gamer just want to stream Netflix without buffering and as good a picture as Poss.

Everything works great except before they had an IPSEC VPN Tunnel between the 2 buildings. Both Buildings have WRVS4400N Routers and I have setup a VPN IPSEC Tunnel on both sides. I have named them the same and the summary says that both are up. But when I try to go from one side to the other I am unable to Ping or resolve anything. I called Cisco but they said they are out of warranty. Cisco directed me here.
