I have a Windows Server 2008 box. Let's call it the management server. It has two NICs. Let's say NIC1 has an IP of 10.1.1.5. NIC2 has an IP of 192.168.1.5. NIC1 can get to the internet. NIC2 is internal only and does not connect to the outside world.Now - I have a UPS on the internal network. Say 192.168.1.6. The management server and UPS are connected via a somewhat cheap but functional router. The UPS can not get directly to the internet or the 10.1.1.0 network. I would like to configure the UPS to be able to send notification emails through the exchange server that is, say, 10.1.1.10.

I am having almost an Identical issue. It seems that I can do anything I want on the internet, but the second I open hotmail all the problems start. Issues occur on both FF and IE. As with you I am able to continue to get some information on sites that are currently open (for example I will get incoming IMs, although I cannot send replys, and my stream on facebook continues to update). Once this happens I cannot open any new webpage or use the wireless on ANY other device in my house (iphones and printer); wired devices seem to have no issues. I have done everything as far as resetting, updating firmware etc to my router with no luck. I have a netgear dual band router, computers with Windows 7 64bit. It seems that accessing Hotmail on the iphones does not trigger the same issue...

I use MS Outlook (Office 2007) to manage my e-mails. This works fine on my own wi-fi at home. However, when I am in Portugal and I connect to wi-fi in a coffee shop for example, and I load up Outlook, then I receive my e-mails fine, but I cannot send an e-mail.

I have a WR842ND with firmware 3.12.22 Build 120424 Rel.39632n. I can't seem to get the mail log emailed out. I've tried hotmail, gmail and ISP email ids. I know these will work as I've done it with my NAS and other routers. When I'm in the System Tools/System Logs/Mail Settings I have authentication enabled and I know I've put in the proper information including mail server outgoing mail names EG. smtp.live.com for hotmail.
I don't see any place to identify a non standard port IE. not port 25, to use. So when I try to send I get the Userid or password is wrong message. Do I have to configure something else.

just upgraded to a Linksys EA4500 wireless router at my small office from an old Netgear. My email now wont send messages out on either my IPhone or my laptop(Toshiba) while using the wireless network. If I turn off Wi-Fi on my IPhone, my email immediately sends the messages. I have a Cisco asa 5510. I am doing attack a my firewall, using n map. I am seeing in the log the attack but i like that firewall send only alarm of attack by email . I have active email with warning and i received very much email.
I observed that graph show attack, but not ip of attacker, is possible that Cisco asa show the ip too ? The log show scanning with n map but not shunning IP and not send alarm. How i can send alarm ? The graph no show ip, it's possible show it.

On my new 942l, after 5 days of usage and tinkering with various settings, I cannot get the camera to obey the trigger=motion when configured to send snapshots over email. It does work when configured to send snapshots over email with trigger=always.Interesting enough the trigger=motion works just fine to upload snapshots to FTP. Yes, it uploads the pictures correcty on FTP detecting correctly movements, but it would not send those over email. To me it looks like a bug in the firmware that I have now a 100% repro.Are there any logs you want me to send to you for debugging?And : Is there a known workaround I can apply (reboot, resetup etc)?
Detailed description of the problem:I have setup the camera to upload snapshots to FTP AND send them over email for trigger=motion.This is what works : the snapshots are nicely uploaded on FTP , but not sent over email.Interesting : if I set trigger=always, snapshots will both be uploaded to FTP and sent over email. The moment I switch back to trigger=motion they go only to FTP and not over email.Even more interesting : the video clips work correctly with either email or FTP for trigger=motion.
What could cause this?The email (account, port, password) and FTP settings are definitely not a problem since I see pictures/videos in email or FTP with trigger=always.The motion settings are not a problem either since snapshots upload correctly on FTP when movements are detected.What it apears to be is the software is not reading or obeying correctly a certain combination of settings.I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that for video clips the "email" and "ftp" are exclusive, but for snapshots they are allowed simultaneously. And somehow the logics get mixed up causing certain combinations of settings to now act out?
What else I tried?I tried many reboots, unplug followed by plug back in and so on.I tried saving and restoring the settings to/from a file hoping that will "reset" something.And I tried many combinations of settings, including changing the order I set and unset hoping a different code path that works will be hit.I did not try a restore to factory defaults since I installed the camera in a hard to reach place and if I restore to factory defaults i need to take it down connect it to a cable in order to redo the wifi settings.

Just installed a RV042 with dual wan connections. Would like to make the WAN 2 (new cable modem as well) the primary connection over WAN1 (DSL), however whenever I switch from WAN1 to WAN2 in Smark Link set up, our email server will not send mail out, even though nothing is blocking the connection.

Yesterday, I installed the N450 DB and it was probably the easiest install I've ever had to do. One problem though, I can now no longer send or receive email thru Outlook Express 6. Motion detection is setup - and I can see in the log and on the Live Video "Motion Trigger Indicator" that this part is working. I can also send test-emails, so the smtp is set up correct. In the Event Setup I have a valid server and a motion triggered event with the status ON. But no emails are sent . In the log there is also no indication of the server trying. Am I missing something - or is this not working for anybody?
And - there is no firmware beyond 1.0 for this model as far as I can see.

I have a question about NAT behavior on FWSM 4.0. The problem is email server (Company A) cannot connect to email gateway (Company B) on the outside network and it randomly happen. I got this error from server guy "Detail: xlate has blocked the connection between A’s mail gateway and B’s mail gateway". It work fine again after clear xlate on firewall. [code]
1. How FWSM create xlate table like that? I mean it look like NAT0 for 158.137.21.26 but it doesn't has any nat rule for 158.137.21.26 on firewall.
2. What does it mean "connections 24" at the first of line? In the normal time, I only see the connections is 0 like the second line of xlate
3. After clear xlate global 158.137.21.26, the first line of xlate table is gone then email server can connect each other. Does is a bug on FWSM? or This is a normal NAT behavior of FWSM.

’m somewhat new to Cisco routers this is my first attempt at getting one to work. I work in an environment with multiple locations, most are using the Cisco Model: 2911/K9 or the Model: 2921/K9 routers running IOS Version 15.0.We just added a new small office and all I had in the way of a router was a Cisco C1841-IPBASE-M router, running IOS Version 12.4.When setting up the C1841 I kept the configuration pretty much the same as the others allowing for the differences in the OS. I can remote into the 0/0 (outside port) from over the network, I can ping to that port without fail, but I can’t send or receive traffic from the 0/1 (inside port).

I have got a PC at work (Windows XP Pro SP3) that is on two networks with the IPs 10.20.30.167, subnet 255.255.255.0 (internet enabled) and 10.0.0.20, subnet 255.255.255.0 (no internet). On the 10.0.0.X network there is a gateway with the IP 10.0.0.200 allowing access to another network; 192.168.60.X, subnet 255.255.255.0 (no internet). I have added the route on my work PC to access the 192.168.60.X network via this gateway and I can access all PCs on all three networks from this PC.Now, I am using LogMeIn Hamachi so that I can access the networks at work from home. The PC at work is the 'gateway' PC on the Hamachi network. When installing Hamachi it created a new network connection and bridged this connection with my 10.20.30.167 network adapter to allow access to the 10.20.30.X network from an external PC when connected using the Hamachi VPN connection. I have manually configured my Hamachi connection on my PC at home to the IP 10.20.30.169, subnet 255.255.255.0, with the default gateway set to 10.20.30.167. I can ping all computers on the 10.20.30.X network from my PC at home.
I then added a route on my PC at home for 10.0.0.X to go via 10.20.30.167 (the 'gateway' on the Hamachi network). I also enabled IP forwarding on the 'gateway' PC (my PC at work). I can not ping any PC on the 10.0.0.X network from my PC at home apart from 10.0.0.20 (the other NIC in the Hamachi gateway PC) and 10.0.0.30 (another PC on the 10.20.30.X network that is also on the 10.0.0.X network).Now, with IP forwarding enabled on the Hamachi gateway PC I would assume after adding the route on my PC at home for 10.0.0.X traffic to go via 10.20.30.167 that I would be able to ping all PCs on the 10.0.0.X network...I also tried adding a route on my home PC to send all traffic for the 192.168.60.X network via 10.20.30.167 which has a route via 10.0.0.200 to the 192.168.60.X network, but this also did not work.I then tried adding the 10.0.0.20 network adapter into the network bridge that the Hamachi connection made, also keeping both IPs (10.20.30.167 and 10.0.0.20) on this network bridge by adding them into the 'IP Settings' in the 'Advanced TCI/IP Settings'. I also added the 10.0.0.200 gateway for good measure. I still cannot ping any PC on the 10.0.0.X or 192.168.60.X networks from my PC at home.
I have also added the route to the 10.20.30.X network on a PC on the 10.0.0.X network to go via 10.0.0.20 and tried pinging a PC on the 10.20.30.X network but this also has not worked. Also setting the default gateway on a PC on the 10.0.0.X network to 10.0.0.20 does not allow this...Surely bridging the networks 10.20.30.167 and 10.0.0.20 on my work PC would allow another PC on the 10.0.0.X network to access the 10.20.30.X network after adding the route or setting 10.0.0.20 as the default gateway?

I am implementing a guest wireless network to work alongside my internal network. The guest network will use the existing switching network and will be separated by VLANs. I have the ASA set so that traffic can get to it and out to the Internet. I can set up a workstation on the same VLAN as my guest network and can route inside my network (strictly doing this for testing purposes). Where I am having problems is with the Catalyst 4506 switches and the ip routing. I had two separate "ip route" statements defined on my switches.
ip route 10.200.2.0 255.255.255.0 10.200.2.254
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.100.100.254
I have discovered that the traffic is always following the default route despite the fact that my IP address on my test workstation falls in the 10.200.2.x network. I was looking at documentation and found that it is possible to set up policy-based routing on the core switches. Can you have two "ip route" statements defined like this to segreate traffic or do I have to use PBR for routing (or a combination) in this case? If I define PBR then how does that impact my existing routing? I need to make sure that I can still route the existing traffic while I'm configuring this change.

I can't seem to send config changes to our syslog server on a 2950, I'm fine with 2960's and 3750's. The Cisco 2955 is using the latest IOS c2955-i6k2l2q4-mz.121-22.EA14.bin.
Here is what I have added:
