Unable To Send Email

I am having almost an Identical issue. It seems that I can do anything I want on the internet, but the second I open hotmail all the problems start. Issues occur on both FF and IE. As with you I am able to continue to get some information on sites that are currently open (for example I will get incoming IMs, although I cannot send replys, and my stream on facebook continues to update). Once this happens I cannot open any new webpage or use the wireless on ANY other device in my house (iphones and printer); wired devices seem to have no issues. I have done everything as far as resetting, updating firmware etc to my router with no luck. I have a netgear dual band router, computers with Windows 7 64bit. It seems that accessing Hotmail on the iphones does not trigger the same issue...

just upgraded to a Linksys EA4500 wireless router at my small office from an old Netgear. My email now wont send messages out on either my IPhone or my laptop(Toshiba) while using the wireless network. If I turn off Wi-Fi on my IPhone, my email immediately sends the messages. What settings do I need to change? I have Comcast internet and one IMAP email account and one "Yahoo" email account

Yesterday, I installed the N450 DB and it was probably the easiest install I've ever had to do. One problem though, I can now no longer send or receive email thru Outlook Express 6. Keep getting this message 'The host 'mail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. I use MS Outlook (Office 2007) to manage my e-mails. This works fine on my own wi-fi at home. However, when I am in Portugal and I connect to wi-fi in a coffee shop for example, and I load up Outlook, then I receive my e-mails fine, but I cannot send an e-mail.

I have a Windows Server 2008 box. Let's call it the management server. It has two NICs. Let's say NIC1 has an IP of 10.1.1.5. NIC2 has an IP of 192.168.1.5. NIC1 can get to the internet. NIC2 is internal only and does not connect to the outside world.Now - I have a UPS on the internal network. Say 192.168.1.6. The management server and UPS are connected via a somewhat cheap but functional router. The UPS can not get directly to the internet or the 10.1.1.0 network. I would like to configure the UPS to be able to send notification emails through the exchange server that is, say, 10.1.1.10.

I have a WR842ND with firmware 3.12.22 Build 120424 Rel.39632n. I can't seem to get the mail log emailed out. I've tried hotmail, gmail and ISP email ids. I know these will work as I've done it with my NAS and other routers. When I'm in the System Tools/System Logs/Mail Settings I have authentication enabled and I know I've put in the proper information including mail server outgoing mail names EG. smtp.live.com for hotmail.
I don't see any place to identify a non standard port IE. not port 25, to use. So when I try to send I get the Userid or password is wrong message. Do I have to configure something else.

I have a Cisco asa 5510. I am doing attack a my firewall, using n map. I am seeing in the log the attack but i like that firewall send only alarm of attack by email . I have active email with warning and i received very much email.
I observed that graph show attack, but not ip of attacker, is possible that Cisco asa show the ip too ? The log show scanning with n map but not shunning IP and not send alarm. How i can send alarm ? The graph no show ip, it's possible show it.

On my new 942l, after 5 days of usage and tinkering with various settings, I cannot get the camera to obey the trigger=motion when configured to send snapshots over email. It does work when configured to send snapshots over email with trigger=always.Interesting enough the trigger=motion works just fine to upload snapshots to FTP. Yes, it uploads the pictures correcty on FTP detecting correctly movements, but it would not send those over email. To me it looks like a bug in the firmware that I have now a 100% repro.Are there any logs you want me to send to you for debugging?And : Is there a known workaround I can apply (reboot, resetup etc)?
Detailed description of the problem:I have setup the camera to upload snapshots to FTP AND send them over email for trigger=motion.This is what works : the snapshots are nicely uploaded on FTP , but not sent over email.Interesting : if I set trigger=always, snapshots will both be uploaded to FTP and sent over email. The moment I switch back to trigger=motion they go only to FTP and not over email.Even more interesting : the video clips work correctly with either email or FTP for trigger=motion.
What could cause this?The email (account, port, password) and FTP settings are definitely not a problem since I see pictures/videos in email or FTP with trigger=always.The motion settings are not a problem either since snapshots upload correctly on FTP when movements are detected.What it apears to be is the software is not reading or obeying correctly a certain combination of settings.I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that for video clips the "email" and "ftp" are exclusive, but for snapshots they are allowed simultaneously. And somehow the logics get mixed up causing certain combinations of settings to now act out?
What else I tried?I tried many reboots, unplug followed by plug back in and so on.I tried saving and restoring the settings to/from a file hoping that will "reset" something.And I tried many combinations of settings, including changing the order I set and unset hoping a different code path that works will be hit.I did not try a restore to factory defaults since I installed the camera in a hard to reach place and if I restore to factory defaults i need to take it down connect it to a cable in order to redo the wifi settings.

Just installed a RV042 with dual wan connections. Would like to make the WAN 2 (new cable modem as well) the primary connection over WAN1 (DSL), however whenever I switch from WAN1 to WAN2 in Smark Link set up, our email server will not send mail out, even though nothing is blocking the connection.

Motion detection is setup - and I can see in the log and on the Live Video "Motion Trigger Indicator" that this part is working. I can also send test-emails, so the smtp is set up correct. In the Event Setup I have a valid server and a motion triggered event with the status ON. But no emails are sent . In the log there is also no indication of the server trying. Am I missing something - or is this not working for anybody?
And - there is no firmware beyond 1.0 for this model as far as I can see.
P.S. I am using a Gmail account for smtp, port 587 and using startTLS to send with,

I have a server with two adapters: 192.168.1.200 and 10.99.1.200, 10.99.1.200 connects to a cisco router 10.99.1.254 (which I have no access to). This connects via WAN to another network to transfer files to another company. 192.168.1.200 is connected to our local LAN. I have a service that uses FTP to get and send files to a server through 10.99.1.200. I recently had to switch our IP scheme from 10.99 to 192.168 and since then haven't been able to send files to the ftp server. My question is, would a router solve my problem? If so, would I; remove the 10.99 adapter, connect 192.168 to the router, connect the router to the switch, connect the 10.99 gateway to the new router (and update any appropriate routing tables on the server)? The service appears to have issues with using a dual homed server and updating it isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I have a Mac, and my wife has a PC running Windows 7. Since we moved into our new house, our Dlink DIR-601 does not seem to want to send Wi-Fi to both computers at the same time. One of the computers always seems to lag or not have internet connection at all. The Mac also seems to work better and more often than the PC when both are trying to access wi-fi.
I have messed with the channel settings, security, and most other typical settings on the router to no avail. Is there a setting I'm missing or should I enable certain settings that will allow both computers to have the same signal strength and reliability.

I have 2 subnets bought from my provider 194.102.98.128/27 and 194.102.98.160/27.
From my provider a have the following setup:
IP Address: 86.120.151.66
Netmask: 255.255.255.128
Gateway: 86.120.151.1
DNS (1): 213.154.124.1
DNS (2): 193.231.252.1
My IPs are static routed by my provider thought 86.120.151.66 .
On the firewall I have the following set-up:
Outside Interface: 86.120.151.66/25 security level 0
DMZ interface: 194.102.98.129/27 security level 50
Inside Interface: 194.102.98.161/27 security level 100
0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 [1/0] via 86.120.151.1, outside
Everything works perfectly except when I try to sent an email. The email gets sent (eventually), but afert a long waiting time, 45-60 sec. The connection is opened instally to the server but then just hangs there for 40-50 sec. The problem is that a have an aplication on a server that has to send confirmation emails, and that aplication is limited to a 30 sec timeout for conecting to the mail server, much less then the 45-60 sec that I have now. The mail server is hosted by a data center, it is not in my networks (location).
I have tried deleting the ESMTP inspection, that doesn't work. Pinging my mail server rezults in a average time of 20 ms. And when a do a tracert the hight value in a hop doesn't usually pass 80 ms, the average is 20-25 ms.
The problem is ONLY when sending emails. Everything else works perfect, including receiving emails from the same server.

I am in the process of switching firewalls. Currently I have a Sonic Firewall inplace. I have been tasked to switch the firewall out with a cisco asa firewall 5510. The sonic firewall currently allows email traffic, web traffic, and dns traffic. When I use the current config below on the asa I am unable to receive email from the outside network. I can send and browse websites but I cannot receive email.

Since i used this new modem ruoter, on facebook game Cafe WORLD i can't send requests or gifts to neighbors/friends. when the window pops out there's no friend list. it's just a blank space. also when i click the share button only a blank page pops out. i tried it in 3 different pc here @ home in different browser but still had no luck...i tried it on my bf's place and it works so i guess there's a prob with my connection. and sometimes i have the internet access but i couldn't navigate in any website only for chatting.
