The routing table is fully populated and connection is good.But after some time we see bgp hold timer error on the non-cisco device. This device by default has a hold timer of 90 seconds which is different from default cisco hold timer. Will this cause any disruptions to the network? If we change the hold timer on one device to match on both sides, will it reset the bgp session?

I have looked through the gui but cant seem to find anything, so not too sure if there is a cli command, the traps come in very quickly on the nms way before they appear on the trap log page.

Apr 2, 2013I am having a very peculiar issue wherein an 1142 WAP is randomly disassociating and powering down due to what the Trap log is calling a "Watchdog Timer Reset." The only way I can get it back up is to power cycle the AP. Currently the AP is being powered by a Cisco Power Injector. Is this a hardware of software issue with the AP itself? From what I read about Watchdog Timers it sounds like it could be. I posted below the Trap Log output after I power cycled the AP:

May 7, 2012it's possible to implement that on any Cisco Wireless Devices, so All I need is create one wireless account with timer for 1 hour, so SSID as guest without any password and once you connected it works only for 1 hour then disconnects and you can't connect again. Then create second account where you can browse timelessly but you need a password to connect there.
1. Is it possible to do that using one or two SSID, or password changes?
2. Is it possible to do that on Wireless controller WLC2100 series, or AP1000, AP1100 series, or AP500 series?

Apr 9, 2013I have a strange issue with clients connected to a WiFi network.I have configured AP in FlexConnect mode and 2 SSID's. After a reboot of the AP the network is stable for almost 45 mins. Then each client will go UP and Down, mostly with a delay of 5 mins.
What could be the source of this. The clients are Windows CE handheld with fixed IP adres. I already configure persitent client and have play arround with APR timers as well. Thereby an Windows desktop or an iPad has less connectivity issues but even they expert pakcteloss once in severall minutes.
Session timer is turned off
The iPad for example can play music, but each 5 mins you hear a little hickup and 2 subsecond ping are loss.
Controller version is 7.3

Sep 27, 2012I am having an issue on a Cisco 3750 stack where when the stack master is rebooted, all my lacp port-channels drop and then come back up again. After doing some investigation It seems that it is happening because of lacp using the stack master mac-address as part of the system-id, so when the stack master reboots, the stack mac changes. I see that there is the command: stack-mac persistent timer 0
There is this warning about using this command:
When you configure this feature, a warning message displays the consequences of your configuration. You should use this feature cautiously. Using the old master MAC address elsewhere in the domain could result in lost traffic.
My question are:
Are there any other consequences to using this command (apart from moving the switch/mac to another location in the network)It mentions 'If the entire switch stack reloads, it acquires the MAC address of the master as the stack MAC address' Is this still the case if you have the stack-mac persistent timer to 0? Does using channel-group mode on for the port-channels still use the same mechanism of having a system-id? (Will the channels flap using 'mode on' when rebooting the stack master.

Apr 25, 2012I have been putting up with rubbish wireless signal down one end of my house now for quite some time. So I thought I have a spare wireless router and I could put it down there but I am sure ts not as easy as just plugging it and away you go.

Jul 28, 2012For reasons that are slowly pushing me over the edge of insanity, I have to reset this dumb router!!
I press the stupid little button on the back of it, the lights go out, one amber one comes on etc. etc. but when I go to 192.168.0.1, everything is still the same!!
Like the passwords are still there and nothing has changed! I thought resetting it was supposed to wipe all that stuff out so you could start from scratch? Also pulled the power cord in and out a zillion times but no way it will reset!
As an aside, I am having no end of problems getting my iPads (2) and iPhones (2) to connect to the wireless network! The "Network Discovery" button will not stay checked and though I have done all the Googling and been into Services to start things running, no way it is going to work!
But I digress, how do I get this fool of a router to reset properly?

Then I switched off the device and turned it on later and it stopped working. It is not damaged for sure, since http://192.168.0.1/ is still accessible from my laptop and I am able to connect to internet through LAN cable. But the wireless network is not working. Even my laptop doesn't detect the network neither does my iPhone. I suspect this to be some configuration issue. I have tried using different SSIDs. Also, MAC filter is disabled. I also tried using different wireless channels. I even did reset the router but no luck.

I am not able to connect via wireless to the router from a PC with Windows Vista. It works fine when I use a cable. Then I am able to connect to Internet via the router. Also, I am able to print on a wireless printer. It is also possible to use Internet from an Ipad with wifi.
The Belkin router had a different network, 192.168.2....When the cable is connected I can ping 192.168.0.1 but not when I remove the cable. In Windows Vista the connection has status "connected". When the cable is connected, the ipconfig /all is printed as below. It is a Swedish version. Some translated words:
