I configed a VPN server with incoming connection. client connected to server succesfully.but sever and client havent any data send or receive. the server dont set an ip for client. this is connection properties:

However, port 80 is being used by my router's setup page. Therefore whenever I key in my public IP address, it will just immediately direct me to the router's page.I have also tried opening up other ports like 5050 and set my web server to port 5050. Internally within the LAN itself everyone can access the web server with port 5050. However, going from public IP address with port 5050 doesn't work.

I have (2) other laptops and (1) other desktop connecting to the router with no issues. For some reason, this old desktop keeps installing an Ethernet device (probably on the MB) and is automatically Configuring the IP address to that instead of the USB wireless device.I've tried uninstalling the Ethernet device but it comes right back after I do a reboot. Even when I disable it, I still can not connect with my Wireless device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy laptop is connected to a router via wifi but it keeps getting a DNS fault. I have another PC linked to the same router via WiFi and that works perfectly all the time. I have the same problem on both google chrome and IE browsers where I just get the message telling me that the DNS look up failed. My internet is still connected as I can dial into my remote CCTV cameras and I can ping website ip addresses. Most times I can just turn off my wireless adapter and turn it back on and it works for another hour or so. But sometimes it wont work all day, unless I start my laptop in safe mode, when it works everytime! I have flushed the DNS cache several times but to no avail.

This connects via WAN to another network to transfer files to another company. 192.168.1.200 is connected to our local LAN. I have a service that uses FTP to get and send files to a server through 10.99.1.200. I recently had to switch our IP scheme from 10.99 to 192.168 and since then haven't been able to send files to the ftp server. My question is, would a router solve my problem? If so, would I; remove the 10.99 adapter, connect 192.168 to the router, connect the router to the switch, connect the 10.99 gateway to the new router (and update any appropriate routing tables on the server)? The service appears to have issues with using a dual homed server and updating it isn't going to happen anytime soon.

At one point I was able to connect to my drives but was unable to connect to the internet. But once I call the ISP they had me change setting for Ipv4 changed defualt gateway, Ip address and DNS after that I was unable to reconnect to my drives. I've done full shut downs and restarts and nothing has worked. 1 of the computers connects to the server through wifi. I also run a VPN.

We have a leased internet connection which is used on a number of different offices. The sbs-server has an IP address of 192.168.50.254 with a gateway Ip address of 192.168.50.1. The firewall on this network has an external IP of 10.50.0.37 with a gateway of 10.50.0.254 and this links to the leased line equipment. The external IP address for this network is 62.7.70.237. The PC in the warehouse has an IP address of 192.168.0.2 attached via a router to the leased line. The routers Ip address is 192.168.0.1, the external IP address is 10.50.0.55 and a gateway of 10.50.0.254. This links to the leased line and seems to have an external Ip address of 62.7.70.238. My issue is that I want the PC in the warehouse to be able to connect in some way to the SBS-Server. I cannot seem to access it via the external IP or the gateway (10.50.0.37).

Unable to connect to DNS server/browse internet
We are having a network of 7 computers and a server (Ubuntu server). The problem is, two of them are not connecting to the network. When i check the network card of these two systems, it seems working (the green light is blinking). When i replace these systems with a laptop, it connecting to the network and there is not problem at all.

My signal strength is excellent, but every 5-10 minutes I have the problem that the DNS server can't be resolved, so I can't visit any websites. I have a DSL modem and a wireless router that also connects another family member's desktop to the Internet. (As well as our phones via wifi.). The connection is fine on the other PC through a wireless adapter (both are desktops), and on the wifi the phones work perfectly so I know the modem and router aren't the problem. But even though my desktop says it's connected (not wirelessly, it directly connects to the router.), no pages will load. If I use chrome browser it eventually tells me this webpage is not available regardless of which page I try to load, or sometimes it's telling me no data received - unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data. Yet oddly a couple of times after forever it seemed to half load a couple pages. Internet Explorer just keeps trying to load pages forever with blank white page as a result.

I am trying to get my ACL's to work, but when ever I do an extened acl and let certain one in (80,443,21,etc) my computer gets an internet error saying it cannot conntact the dns server. I have a Dell 570 Inspiron desktop running win7 home premium w/ a 64 bit OS. I have Frontier dsl with a Westell 327W modem and a netgear router. Two desktops are connected to the internet...one through the modem and the Dell 570 through the router. I also run laptops through the router w/no problem. This morning the dsl went down, and when it came back up, the Dell 570 would not connect. i tried Diagnosing Connection Problems, and I'm told to turn off the modem/router (which I have done a gazillion times).When I look at Network Connections in the Control Panel, It tells me I have an unidentified network and can't connect. I read through some forums earlier, and found that releasing and renewing ipconfig often corrects the problem, and that's when I got the message that 'An error occurred while nenewing. Local Area Connection unable to contact DHCP server.' This set up has worked for the past year and a half. I looked at the network adapter, and it says it's working properly. I changed the cables going to the machines, and they both work on this computer. The only change made to the computer was to install McAfee security center through AOL yesterday, but the set up worked all yesterday and last night.
