Jul 8, 2011Any tcp client software other than telnet and can read data in other formats than ASCII ? the problem i am facing with telnet is that it only reads ASCII format.

Filezilla Client - 425 Can't Open Data Connection
Sep 15, 2011When I try to FTP into my server at home, which is running Filezilla server, and I try to connect via my Filezilla client, it gives me:"425 Can't open data connection.". I see this error on the client side and on the server side and on the client side, its not listing the directory.However, when I go and connect via SmartFTP, I sat on Google for about half an hour trying to find this problem out, went through the wiki, I know it isn't my router (I'm running pfSense). My NAT configs and firewall exceptions and port forwarding are all configured correctly. This just seems like a problem with Filezilla itself. The Filezilla Client can't connect to the Filezilla server but yet SmartFTP, as well as a friend of mine using FTPX can connect just fine.I can remote in via VNC, VPN in and contact my proxy server just fine from the outside.

Dec 13, 2012I own a wireless router (ZTE W300) and due to the large number of devices in my house, and limited broadband usage, can I limit downloads/uploads (in other words, limit data usage) to a particular device over the network?I think the stock firmware on my router doesnt allow that (and its pretty base level too). If so, do you recommend any other firmware that can do the task, and is compatible with my router?

Sep 12, 2012I would like to be able to allow a specific client to only associate at 6mbit/s -is this possible using the wlc controller 5508? Another option would be to limit a whole w lan ssid to 6mbit/s but i can't find a way to do that either.
Other w lan ssid's on the same access points/controller need full data rates, so i guess i can't use the RF-profiling for this.
Linksys Wireless Router :: E4200 Wireless Client Drop On Transferring Data
Dec 14, 2011I have had an e4200 for about a month now and its been pretty good. But I have noticed that it completely locks up when I go to copy mass amounts of data through it. I have a NAS drive plugged into it and my laptop is on the 2.4 spectrum. I went to transfer 8gigs of data from laptop to NAS drive and the entire wireless portion of the router locks up. All my wireless clients drop and I have to unplug the router and plug it back in. Even the 5ghz clients drop as well. I have not tried hardwire, but the main reason I got this was for its throughput.

Feb 7, 2013I am currently facing a major problem. I am a user of the Smart FTP software and have several files in it.However, the "Sites" folder is showing a blank screen. It shows nothing, when there are supposed to be at least 30 files.
I think I have discovered the cause of this; the "Read" permissions are off. Here is where my problem comes in, when I enable it and select "Apply Changes Recursively", it goes back to the unchecked "Read" permission. It doesn't seem to take into account the fact that I want to enable it.

Feb 2, 2012I am trying to change SNMPv2 community string on 6509 remotely, without using expect script. I tried EEM applet (we cannot use TCL scripts), but it does not work. EEM command "action 10 info snmp oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.4 get-type exact" is supposed to store the result into an environment variable. It does not. Or at least not in the one that is documented. Is it a bug? We have IOS 12.2(17r)SX5. To get EEM version i ran "sh event manager version" and got "eem: (v240_throttle) 2.21.32". Does it mean i have EEM version 2.21?

Then I stopped using the Internet to do a program tidy up. - there were a few program's that had been extras to other program's I don't need. I was able to establish that my computer is still able to access the Internet through wireless (which we don't often use on account of it been spotty). 3) Created a group - HelpDesk with the following TACACS+ Settings

Assign a Shell Command Authorization Set for any network device - selected
ReadOnly - shell command autorization set seleted
When the user logs on to the router/switch it appears that he has full access. He can enter the enable command, config terminal command, etc. All we want him to be able to do is to issue the show command.

Apr 13, 2011I have a wireless router namely D-LINK 524. i know its a prtty old router..but its never let me down ever before..but thn today i decided to play a couple of games online using the psp/ps3 and well both the devices couldnt read the access point..
Then i go onto my pc and the internet on the pc dont work either :'( so then i reboot the modem nd wifi router..but to no avail.So i unplug da routerand connect da modem directly to the pc and it worked..so i was quite stunned..nd i miss playing online..
So to trim it down the problem basically is my phone/ps3/psp cannot find my access point AND my pc doesnt work when connected through the wireless router.

Only one pc will open the files in the folder as read only and the others will open with full control. I have checked if someone has the files open and no one did. I have checked the share attributes and they are set to full control to all users. The files are in word and xl and did not try anything other type of files. Is there a setting that makes the files read only for one user? This system is the owner and boss (win xp) and need a fix fast.

For many reasons, I want to store all my data in a centralized location (that being my WHS box). I then want to access that data through my laptop in London as if the data was in a folder on my computer. I also want to access the data through my mobile phone (android).I just set up filezilla on my WHS box and it works fine if I want to download or upload data. But it won't let me open word files 'off' the server, make changes, and then save it right back. I have to download the word file, make changes, and then reupload that file to the server.
