When Insert TV To The Network The Whole Thing Collapses?

Nov 22, 2012

I'm living in a student flat, where each student has his own room.Every room has an LAN outlet in the wall on which he is able to connect 1 device. If you like to connect more devices, we are advised to utilize a router. Our ISP gives us the right to only use 1 MAC-adress (for safety reasons), so there the router comes into play.I have a Belkin G+ wireless router on which i would like to connect my phone and laptop by a wireless configuration and my TV (Toshiba 40TL933) by wire.My laptop and phone work like a charm. When i insert my TV to the network, the whole thing collapses. My ISP provided me with the information that i connected 2 MAC-adresses and therefore, i was cut off. This would be because of the fact that belkin routers (apparently) are notorious for providing more than 1 MAC adres. When i asked for the MAC-addresses, they gave me back these 2: * 00:00:00:00:00:00 * 00:17:3f:0d:77:f5The second one is from my Router. But where does the 00.00. etc come from?

Linksys Cable / DSL :: WAG320N - How To Get Network Storage Thing To Work

Apr 8, 2010

I recently purchased a WAG320N, primarily for the faster networking speeds and the ability to attach a USB hard drive to my network. The only problem is that I have little idea how I get this network storage thing to work. Cisco haven't really supplied any documentation on how to work this.So far I've plugged in a hard drive and formatted it through the router's web interface, with no trouble at all. But, after doing this I have no idea how to access my hard drive on the network.I would assume that it would appear automatically on my network for me to access freely.

Is it possible to insert a Netgear wireless router b/g 108Mbs into a running 2008r2 network, making it a slave to allow wireless access?

At the moment the menu is only accessible thru 192.168.0.1, but I need to have it visible as a device subservient to 10.151.48.1? If this is possible, I can set it up to do a SSID broadcast for wireless access?

Cisco WAN :: Drop-Insert On Vwic3-2mft-t1 / E1?

Jan 30, 2013

I have a problem with configuring of my vwic3-2mft-t1/e1 card on Cisco 2821 router. I need drop some raw data timeslots from E1 frame and then insert them into frame on other port. I enter the following commands:

card type e1 0 0
 controller e1 0/0/0
tdm-group 0 timeslots 1-4
clock source line
 controller e1 0/0/1
tdm-group 2 timeslots 1-4

[code]....

I find these commands in Cisco 1 and 2-port T1/E1 Multiflex Voice/WAN Interface Cards for the Cisco 1700 Series Router configuration guide for vwic2 cards. But this config is not working properly. show connect output is showing status of connection "UP", show controller e1 shows no errors on both e1 ports, but data not flows between ports. What am I doing wrong? Have vwic3 and vwic2 cards different configuration procedures or not?

Cisco WAN :: Drop And Insert Different From 2811 To 2911

Sep 11, 2012

I have a working configuration with a 2811 router at my remote site in which I take the T1 (point-to-point PRI) into port 0/0/0 on the dual-port vwic2-mft-t1/e1 card. Then I plug my PBX into the 0/0/1 port. I channelize the T1 so 1/2 of the channels are used for data (13-24) and channels 1-8 are passed through the vwic2 to the PBX. I'm using the connect tdm t1 0/0/0 0 t1 0/0/1 0 command to pass the voice calls through to the PBX.

I tried to upgrade the router to a 2911 with the same card and the same configuration copied and pasted over and as soon as I put the connect tdm t1 0/0/0 0 t1 0/0/1 0 statement in, I drop the data side of the T1 and lose my connection to the WAN. If I take the command back out, the WAN still doesn't come back up until I reboot the router.

Has the syntax changed? I have a case open with TAC but so far no luck, as they can't seem to figure out which group should take this case, voice or data..

Cisco Application :: Cookie Insert On ACE20-MOD-K9

Nov 13, 2012

We are using an ACE engine module(ACE20-MOD-K9) provide loading balancing service for two WEB servers and configured cookie for stickness. Below is the current configuration and it seems working fine now.

The problem I was facing is before use parameter-map change the http header length to 8k the stickness doesn't really working properly. User complains that their working session constantly be kicked out and redirect them to login page. By tracing traffic from a client we found that sometime ACE fails or stop insert the configured cookie, after increase the header length ACE start getting work.

how does the header length setup effect ACE to insert a cookie? Will the cookie insert attmpt fail if the header is longer then the maximum length configured on ACE? [code]

I cannot figure out how to copy this value. It is easy to add the source ip address  by adding: " insert-http x-forwarded-for header-value "%is".

So how I am going to copy the Refere header?

#Referer
#Address (URI) of the resource from which the URI in the request was obtained

Cisco Application :: Insert X-Forward Header In ACE 4710?

May 5, 2013

We are using Cisco ACE 4710 to load balance servers. We have created VIP under the interface vlan using nat-pool command. Also, we have changed the gateway of the server to point to the ACE vlan ip address which is created using alias 10.x.x.x 255.x.x.x command under the interface vlan. In short ACE is in inline mode for the servers which needs to be load balanced.

[code]...

But still I am not able to view the original client IP. Just to add more, the site is a HTTPS site & we have not doing any kind of SSL offloading on the ACE, it is taken care by server itself

I just want to do the HTTP & HTTPS load balancing without SSL offloading & should be able to see the original client IP in the server logs

Sharing :: Change Network Settings So Internet Connection Appeared As Public Network

Jan 25, 2011

I use my desktop for streaming media throughout the house. I found it was causing lag for gaming most likely because it was taking up all the bandwidth for the router. We had a 2nd router laying around as well as a 2nd wireless adapter so we set up a 2nd network that was not connected to the internet for strictly media streaming.I attempted to change the network settings so the internet connection appeared as a public network so that streaming of media was hopefully diverted to the non internet wireless adapter.I want a faster way of transferring large video files from my laptop to my desktop. I recently bought a crossover cable to do this through direct connection. Both use the same user name and password as well as run the same win 7 pro however the desktop is the 64 bit version. I set up both ipv4 with the same addresses. When it has worked I am only getting a connection speed of just over 10mb and once I connect the crossover cable between the computers it knocks out my internet connection on the wireless card.

Sep 2, 2012

I seem to be struggling to connect more than 4 cameras to my (ISP-supplied) modem/router by Netgear CGD24N via WPS. I'm on my 5th camera now (already have 3x 930L and 1x 942L) but the newest 942L just won't connect to the network at the moment and there's definitely no faults here as I swapped cameras today at the local retailer (and got an A3 942L!).I've even tried connecting the camera to my wireless extender (Netgear WN3000RP) but no luck there.

So far it has only worked twice for short periods of time (enough for me to configure the cameras) but since then I can't actually get it working. I've got a couple of spare wireless routers lying around too and should be receiving a DIR-600 soon (from the Netgear promotion in Australia) which could be useful?

When I plug in the camera and have it connected with a network cable to the router the status light remains RED.When I plug it in without a network cable the status led remains RED.When I connect it with a network cable to a computer directly, the status led remains RED.I've tried changing the network settings of my router to use 192.168.0.x as range, but it makes no difference. In all cases the status indicator remains RED.

These addressed are accessible within the university bu non routable outside on the internet. My plan is to setup a local HUB for DC++ for sharing data within the university intranet. So even if internet is unavailable data can be exchanged through LAN. This HUB must not be accessable outsied the university network.how should I do this all..implementing network sharing other than DC++. My basic idea is that everybody can share their data and the data is searchable from one common interface( Web interface is better option, if possible). And data featching should prefferably be from many hosts, using multiple connections so that speed can be improved..

The linux web server has a static IP, configured with /etc/network/interfaces The network goes down randomly. Disconnecting and rebooting the linux web server usually fixes it. It's possible that the WRT54G could be at fault as well. The problem is that I just don't have any information on what is happening on the network. (Well even if I had the information, I'm not sure I would know what to do with it) I installed wireshark, I figure I should just leave it running until the network goes down, then I can go through the packets and see if I see anything weird?

Cisco :: PIX 525 Firewall / Voice Network Not Working After Data Network Migrated

Feb 28, 2012

My company have a Cisco PIX 525 firewall which is cater for NOC internal data network and also voice network, the subnet for data network is 192.168.2.0/24 and the subnet for voice network is 172.16.2.0/24. someday this NOC firewall was faulty. I was migrated the data network from this NOC firewall to the other temporary firewall just at the moment. And the voice network i migrated it from where it orginal at NOC firewall to a VOIP system which actually having a connection with my temporary firewall(This temporary FW only to take the traffic of data network). After the migration of data network from old firewall to temporary firewall and also the migration of voice network from old firewall to PABX system. The subnet for data network remain the same as 192.168.2.0/24, but the subnet of voice network i edit from 172.16.2.0/24 to 192.168. 3.0/24.Now when i want to use one Cisco router 2600 to replace this temporary firewall then facing problem at the voice network....The data network after migrated from temporary firewall to new 2600 is ok, users can browsing. But when i trying to at the same time when the data network been migrated , it will affect the voice network which still located at PABX. ..user cannot make call...I was thinking reason because this voice network which currently in 192.168.3.0/24 is tight to somewhere on the 192.168.x.x at the old firewall internetwork. So, when i migrated the data network over to new router, it will also cause the failure of voice even thought after i migrated the voice system to new router. So when i do the disaster recovery back to the temporary firewall for both data and voice. The voice is resuming to normal.

Home Network :: Cisco Linksys E1500 - Wireless Security Protocol For Guest Network?

Oct 29, 2012

Having an issue with a Cisco Linksys E1500 on a home network. The device has a feature to provide a guest wireless network but the guest network can't get to the internet. A wired connection is fine, as is the normal wireless network but not the guest. The cheesy thing is, that it doesn't list an option for what type of wireless security protocol you want on the guest network. I'm assuming that it uses the same security protocol that the normal wireless network uses, but who knowsEspecially weird is that it asks you what password you want on the guest network but then the guest network show to be insecure when you try to connectthought maybe it was something funky with some of my configurations so I went ahead and factory defaulted it and just set it up with an insecure network for both the normal and guest networks. This didn't solve it. The guest network still couldn't get to the internet. In fact, the guest network can't even ping the router.

Network Switch Managed Vs Unmanaged High Network Speeds

Jun 5, 2011

I'm looking to connect my 50+ drops I have in my home based business. I transfer large files 5+gigs on a regular basis between the machines. I currently just have some cheap Netgear 8port, gigabyte switch's but when transferring files I max out around 12-15mb/sec. This takes WAY too long to transfer files.

I need a network switch so I can get my speeds up to 60+mb/sec at least. (my seconds job office has this ability)

What would I need to get this kind of speed? All my cabling is CAT6, with CAT6 ends. Would I need a managed switch to get this kind of speed?

I was looking at a couple switches. Cisco Sg 100-24 24-PORT Gigabit Switch $374 or Cheaper option Netgear Prosafe GS724T-300NAS 24 Port Gigabit Smart Switch W/ Rack Mount Kit $199

Or is there something else I could go with in this price range?
