Windows 8 Pc Can't Connect To Internal Ip Through Browser
Apr 9, 2013
New windows 8 pc which can't connect to an internal ip (inside address 192.168.1.237) through browser, either firefox or IE. I use this address to open a webdav session on browser to transfer files form pc to iphone, or vice versa, using ipphoone app Files Pro. I have no problem connecting on this using my old windows xp pc using ie, which is in another room. Both pcs used my fairly new ASUS ac router. Is there a windows8 firewall or toehr exception list that I need to modify on the windows 8 (HP) laptop?
So I recently came down to my parents place for a holiday and ever since I started using the internet here many websites are not loading (firefox, ie and google chrome alike) they usually show an error /problem loading page message. All webpages open fine on the wireless router back at my place.
Also, all the webpages seem to load fine on other PC's in the house. I have scanned using kaspersky twice, there were no threats. And I tried using Hotspot Shield - and all the websites load only when hotspot shield is on.
Browsers will not download certain files. They often get stuck at 300-400 kb, but some other files are ok. Eg. I can never download Java 64 from filehippo, whereas CCleaner is good to go from filehippo.WirelessTried with no firewall, no antivirusprogram. My other computer wireless downloads.Tried different drivers to network adapter.
She has an older HP Vista laptop that connects to the internet just fine (including downloading updates, connecting to messenger clients, etc.), but it will not connect to any of her browsers...
1. I understand firewalls can throw huge issues, I am pretty sure this is where the problem lies. She was using Ad-aware and I am pretty sure that the window that popped up that she clicked switched her firewall settings back to default and left something weird in the system. When I try to disable Windows firewall and go back to Ad-aware it won't let me exit snooze. It asks if I confirm and when I do nothing happens.
2. I have done a winsock reset and made sure that the proxy boxes are unchecked to make sure there isn't a proxy problem.
3. The ipconfig/reset threw no errors, everything looks fine.
4. No hardware conflicts or errors reported in device manager and all drivers are up to date. Again since the internet is actually working minus the browser I don't think it is a hardware issue.
5. No virus detected. Symantec is loaded on the laptop did a run with that, also have AVG that I installed and ran (disabled one and did the other, never run simultaneously). AVG is now uninstalled as Symantec is disabled to avoid any conflict with AdAware.
Is there any way to completely disable all firewalls, remove any settings or registries (if any), and start from scratch with it? Also, as networking is by far my weak point, is there anything I need to check as far as the DNS is concerned?
I have the Mts Mbrowse ZTE AC 8720 data card. it has problem in installing in windows 8 but it works properly in window 7. It has an error fail to install access serial port 0. i didn't understand the error.
I accidentally deleted my wireless adapter, so i re installed it in device manager, and now i can't connect to anything except my router, when i check internet options, it tells me that i'm connected to the internet. I can go on the internet on this other laptop and desktop computers, xbox and whatever else, just not the other laptop (it's an hp pavillion dv6000 btw)
I am experiencing the same problems except different setup. I use avg and spybot as my security. The problem is that I cannot use any browser be it firefox or chrome or IE. I can't even update my avg or spybot. I can type in my router and get that. I have a laptop, which I am using now, that is working fine with the internet. Even my 360 is able to connect so I can watch netflix.I have "flushed" the connection, I have used winsock, and macshift. I'm running AVG and Spybot with spybot coming back clean but I have a gut feeling it won't work.I have run sfc /scannow and there is some files missing. I inserted my original disk into the cd-rom and refuses to detect the cd after so many tries. I reset the router and computer several times. I tried running sfc /scannow in safe mode but didn't run[CODE]
I cannot get XP pro to connect to internet with any browser. It sees all of the other computers on the network and can ping any of the connection, including the router, but will not bring up any web pages.
I have the wireless connection working and when I try to browse information on the any browser like Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera and all but it cannot connect. It display a message saying "Connection closed by the remote server" in Opera and in other browser it doesn't display anything even after several times of refresh.I also tried restarting the system and it connect the home page of the browser and when I open the link in new tab it doesn't go to that link.
I have 2 PC's on a LAN, both Windows 7 Ultimate. Both PC's is connected to the same router via ethernet. Now PC number two has internet access and works great, but PC number 1 also shows "Internet Access" in the system tray and also in the network map, it shows that it is connected to the internet. But when I open ANY browser(FF, IE, Chrome) it cannot connect to the internet. Skype also cannot connect. As I said, the other PC (PC2) can connect fine and has the exact same setup as PC1. However, on PC1, when I manually connect via a dial-up broadband connection using the SAME username and password to my ISP as I used in the router config, it connects. The problem is that it loses the connection every 2 minutes or so...(failed to connect...redialing...). What I can do on PC1 to make it connect to the internet via the router the same way the other PC does?
Also, the two PC connects fine over the LAN between each other, but as I said, PC 1 cannot connect to the WAN the same way PC2 does. Things I tried: I did a TCP/IP stack repair and rebooted. Nothing. I disconnected the 'working PC' from the LAN, nothing. I uninstalled the Antivirus and Firewall, nothing...
Router: Siemens Giga 762SX
Network adapter on PC1: Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC. I do have the latest drivers installed
I am in kuwait and I have a CCTV camera in Philippines. It is setup with IP 112.200.216.88:3130. I can ping it but I am unable to connect through browser. I am working behind a router. Anything I need to do on my network in Kuwait to be able to connect to it?
I recently am trying to get an open nat type so I can play Playstation network better. I watched a video and they told me to turn off the NAT and I did now it does not let me connect to the router page now, I can connect to the internet and stuff but I can't connect to the router page
Not sure how I got here, but I cannot now connect to the E3000 using the Browser Utility. USing https://10.x.x.x, shows certificate warning page, then when I continue "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".DId NOT change the host hame.Last time I used the Browser Utility (weeks ago) was to disable the wireless to check something. Reenabled the wireless, no apparent problems until today when I tried to access via the Browser Utility. As I never ran Connect, there are no settings to change, and now it cannot detect the device.I guess I'll wait until I HAVE to change something, and do a 30-30-30 reset.
I just got myself a Cisco RV220W, connected my laptop to configure it. I receive an IP adress by DHCP (192.168.1.x) and can ping the router (192.168.1.1). However, when I try to connect to the router by the web interface, I receive this message in my browser (Chrome):
The webpage at https://192.168.1.1/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. Error 113 (net::ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH): Unknown error.
In FireFox: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.1. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)
In IE9: I get no error message, the page never loads
Is it DoA or how to get connected to the web interface?
I am tryign to set up an Aironet 1142, I have created a reserrvation in DHCP using the MAC address, and the reservation shows as active, but I cannot connect to the device with my browser.
Not too much networking savvy - but here goes. Want to use router as local lan - no wireless. When router is connected to laptop via RJ45 I loose my ability to connect to sites via browser. IPconfig shows wireless adapter at 192.168.1.3. When router is attached it's ip is 192.168.1.1. Disabled the wireless in the settings but no dice. When the router was used with DSL it was set at PPPoE but now that I'm just using it locally not sure whether it should be DHCP or Static or other.
I just purchased a E4200 and I have some questions;
1. I have the hardware version 1, and I noticed the hardware version 2 has a newer version of Cisco Connect. Can I use the newer version of Cisco Connect on my E4200 V1?
2. Is there a way to hide passwords in Cisco Connect and in the browser UI for the router?
3. Is there a way to have a separate admin password and wireless password?
I also have a issue, I want the browser web UI to display in english, but it insists on changing it back to my native language from time to time.
I just recently purchased a dell latitude E6400 laptop and I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on it, not an upgrade. I also installed service pack 1 right after the OS install. My problem is I cannot find a single driver that allows my WiFi card/connection to show up in Windows. I have been browsing the internet like a fiend and cannot find a single driver or solution anywhere for this. Every install or driver I try either shows an error saying "incompatable" or just does not fix the issue. All I want is my WiFi card to work, and dell did not have any drivers that worked off of its support site even when I put in my service tag number. compatable driver for the WiFi card for windows 7 64bit? Or steer me in the right direction to get the WiFi working on my laptop?
The Lg840g is a tracfone with wifi capability. I get strong wifi signal and connection at home, but receive failure to connect to requested host message when I open the browser. This phone works at wayport wifi, so I assume it's a compatibility problem with the router. Is there a fix? (Router works great with our Acer and Kindle tablets though.)
i can can ping my host externally from another ip however i have left my house without port forwarding to my pc is there a way to connect to my pc via something like this command "xxxx.dyndns-home.com:192.168.1.100" i have tried this and does not work as it does not like the ":"truth be told my real goal is to ultimately be able to look at my webcam as it is pointed at a homebrewing project which i need to see. this is what i want to work on setting up while in rdp?
I'm given an ASA 5505 to configure for remote access vpn. I can establish vpn connection to the ASA 5505 but can't access any of the internal vlan/subnets. I configured three of the ASA ports for connection into each of the internal subnets/vlan via a switch.Given below is my full configuration.
ASA5505# sh run: Saved:ASA Version 8.3(1)!enable password bLjadbVl0mgRQWih encryptedpasswd 2KFQnbNIdI.2KYOU encryptednames!interface Vlan1nameif insidesecurity-level 100ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0!interface Vlan2nameif
setting up VPN IPSec with Cisco ASA 5505. I've managed to successfully setup VPN andcan connect to it from outside and browse securely to the outside/internet via tunnel. However, once I am connected to VPN, I cannot access any of my internal hosts/servers via VPN client.
We recently got a Cisco ASA 5510 Security Appliance and I have some general question.
We have 1 T1 internet connection, and we have 2 internal networks. These 2 internal networks currently hav access to the internet. I am having issues with the 2 internal networks being able to communicate with each other.
I have a hosted web server that has a website on it that needs to connect back to a database within our internal network. We have a Cisco WRVS4400N Wireless Router with 2 VLANS. VLAN 1 goes to a Watchguard Firebox which is connected to our internal network. VLAN 2 goues to our classroom network.
Our database is on VLAN 1. I have opened port 1433 on the Watchguard to allow SQL traffic from our Web Server. I can telnet from my workstation on VLAN 1 to the Web Server over port 1433, so I know the Web Server is not blocking anything. When I try to telnet from the Web Server to our Public IP address over port 1433, it fails.
I believe I have the firewall on the Cisco WRVS4400N off, so it shouldn't be blocking any traffic, but for the life of me I can't get this to work. I have been working on this for two days, and I NEED it to work. This was working up until last week, then it quit working. I am the only person making changes to our network, and there were no changes made during that time.
I have an ASA 5510 configured 3 interface Internet_AAPT, Internal_Network and Server_Network. The server network works fine as is able to connect to the internet and services like port 80 work from the internet in. But from the Internal_Network can only get to the server network but not internet (6May 13 201214:17:4030201310.153.111.21253663199.47.216.14880Built outbound TCP connection 42508 for Internet_AAPT:199.47.216.148/80 (199.47.216.148/80) to Server_Network:10.153.111.212/53663 (10.153.111.212/53663). The weird thing in logs i see a connection being made but for some reason its referring to the Server_Network interface? below is my current config...
ASA Version 8.2(5) ! hostname ASA01 domain-name names name 10.153.11.184 QNAP name 10.153.11.192 exc2010 name 10.153.11.133 zeacom
i just installed a pix515e ( ios ver 6.2) in my network. and the vpn users can connect to it from the internet successfully but they aren't able to connect to any of the internal resources. some other informaion: i configured nating between the internal network (10.0.0.0/24) and the internet and another static nat policy between an internal resource through another public ip address on outside interface. but right now i need to let the vpn clients to connect to my internal resources.
I have an ASA 5505 configured with internal network, a DMZ, and a VPN on seperate subnets. The implicit rules allow my internal client computers to connect to the web servers on the DMZ IP, but I can not connect to the public NAT address from the internal network. I have a DNS server on my internal network and it does resolve to the public IP correctly. NAT seems to be working correctly because if I go outside the network and connect to the public IP or qualified name then I can get to everything correctly. I do not see any messages in the Cisco logs and the packet trace tool shows the route of http from an internal IP adddress to the external (NATed) address is allowed.
Specifically, I can go to http://192.168.1.121 from the internal (192.168.0/24) network, but I can not go to http://72.22.214.121 (the NAT address) from the internal network. If I am outside my cisco then I can go to http://72.22.214.121 easily. [code]
I have a win xp laptop which connects via wireless to a cheap belkin router I have a Win 7 pro laptop which is hardwired to the router. The Win 7 machine is NOT set up for home groups. We are all on the same workgroup.
I have added the user name from the XP machine to the Win 7 pro machine with admin rights. I shared a folder on Win 7 and added the user name and gave read/write rights. I have no software firewall.
When I try to connect via win explorer via the workgroup I see the Win 7 machine (after 10 seconds). I see 'User' folder which I can browse and I see the folder that I shared but I can't access it. Access denied...
It started when I couldn't connect to a specific website for 2 days. I had to change my IP to get on again, and when I did I got a message from the admin saying that I had been blocked automatically because my browser was using upwards of 200 connections at a time. He made me check all the browser settings for it, and everything was still set at default. I didn't download any program or add-on, I did nothing special. It started out of the blue. I did virus scans, I reinstalled firefox and opera (the browsers I use). At this point I have no clue what the problem is.
Since downloading constant guard and Norton on my computer, I can connect to a wireless router but cannot open a web browser. My network diagnostics says could not make HTTP/HTTPS/FTP connection.I have tried many different things. IP configuration is correct. It will ping out to the internet and receive back without a problem.
I want to see the IPs that are on browser games, but I haven't found a way.Does anyone know how I could go about doing this, or at least tell me what computer language this would take, or any other information you have? I'm talking about games such as Runescape, Clubpenguin, or Roblox.I would also like to know how to see IPs on bought games such as Diablo 2 or Unreal Tournament 3.
