I have a PROLiNK H5001N ADSL Wireless Modem using bridge mode to my TL-WDR4300. I login to my ISP using the TL-WDR4300 with secondary connection to my modem so that I can open the modem setup page.
1.) My question is can the Prolink get DHCP address from the Wan Port of TL-WDR4300?
2.) Can I still use the Wifi of the modem to get internet?
3.) If I connect my ISP to Prolink then connect TL-WDR4300 thru static connection, will the NAT and Hardware NAT still work in the TL-WDR4300?
NOTE: the latest firmware built TL-WDR4300_V1_121225 seams to have internet connection lost problem after a few minutes. I reverted back to 3.12.23 and the problem is gone.
Where can I download the user manaul for this switch, not the quick start guide?

Error description: Invalid key Manual

The password I had from my connection is correct. I checked it about 3 times, and it keeps on saying it is wrong? Does this mean I have to reset my router?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a RealTek 8187 USB wireless adapter on my desktop computer that has an associated utility that allows me to manually select which of several competing WAP's to connect to. But that is good only for that particular adapter. My laptop has a different make of adapter that does not have this capability and many of my friends and neighbors lack the capability also. I have a situation where when I turn on my desktop, it automatically connects to a certain WAP, presumably because it has the strongest signal. However, at certain times of the day, traffic or other unknown interference blocks internet access for varying periods of time. I can usually go to my RealTek utility and switch connections to another WAP that has somewhat less signal strength (for example from Channel 1 to Channel 9 -- all within the same Wi-Fi network). Almost always I can restore internet access by doing this.is there generic software available that allows manually selecting WAP channels regardless of the particular brand of wireless adapter being used. Or is there some setting in either Windows XP or Windows 7 that would allow selectively choosing to connect to one channel of a network rather than another even if the signal strength is less.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently bought the E2500 Router and I am using the EA2500 Adapter with it . I have this set-up on 2 Desktop PC's . 1 Pc is working just fine with this set-up . The other keeps giving me an Error message of "Invalid Key Manual" . What does this mean ? The adapter is working because it does find the Router as a usable connection . It just isn't able to connect to it and keeps giving me the same Error message .
View 8 Replies View RelatedDo you know when will be possible to manual configure ipv6 settings? I have all parameters from my ISP but the settings on the router are only automatic and 6rd. Is it possible to enable this in future firmwares?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had several Linksys and Cisco routers in the past, and I'm a network engineer. My E3000 died after only 18 months so I had to run down and buy a new router, thus the EA4500.
I use the manual way to configure all my network gear. Nothing on my network changed, except the router replacement. If I leave the router default address at the 192 range, DHCP will issue a IP address. However, I do not use that range and after cdhanging the range, setting my start IP address, etc, I save everything and even tried rebooting the router to no avail. The router will not issue a DHCP addrss if you change the default range.
I can manually configure my clients with a static IP and all is good, no issues at all. I just can't get DHCP to work. My E3000 was configured exactly the same way and worked just fine, well up until two days ago.I have tried upgrading to the latest router firmware, so I'm not on 2.0.37 and I did set the router back to Factory Defaults, rebooted, then configured it, and still no DCHP.
The device has been trying for days to auto-download and all it does is fail constantly. Saying that my connection is slow - gee, I have FiOS, I know it's not slow, maybe it's your Servers Cisco?Well, where can I obtain the direct DL link to that firmware file instead of relying on an unreliable device to get it and apply for me?

Router says "Invalid IP address" when I try to make a manual IP address reservation of the IP address range.
Example: local network 192.168.1.0/24, where .1 is a router, .2 is a reservation, .20-.50 is a range for DHCP.
Before upgrade I didn't have this problem.
Problem I've been having with my laptop. Following the directions of a Dell technician while trying to resolve a separate problem, I deleted the partitions on my hard drive and manually reinstalled both Vista and all the drivers that were on the Dell CD that came with my laptop. When I tried connecting to the internet, Vista said I did not have any wireless networking hardware, but before the reinstallation it worked just fine. I am able to connect to the internet using a wired connection, but my wireless adapter still isn't working. I use Windows Vista 32-bit SP1

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhat I did do was manually set my IP address for my laptop for my wireless. But I no longer needed to do that so I set it back to Automatic. But every minute or so my IP is changing back to 192.168.0.12 which I did change it to, although it is on Automatic. This is my guess to as what it is doing as I have no connection to the internet after about a minute. ipconfig also displays my IP Address as being 192.168.0.12 as well. What I have to do is disable and then reenable my wireless to get it working again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few months back, my computer stopped connecting to networks. Through some process or another, I ended up "fixing" it by manually inserting the ipv4 settings. Apparently that only allows it to connect to my router though, as public wi fi won't work for it. If I leave the ipv4 settings set to automatically obtain information, the computer won't connect to the network. It will stay on the "identifying network" part indefinitely. In addition, I can't connect through the modem directly either, manual settings or not.
Here is the ipconfig while ipv4 is in auto-obtain

I upgraded wcs to version 7.0.172 and migrated it to new server and ip address. The upgrade was done by install wcs 7.0.172 on new server and restoring a backup. I also upgraded the location appliance from 6.0.101.0 to 6.0.202.0. The wcs can see the location appliance without a problem. The problem occurs when i try to backup the location appliance. The wcs appears to run the backup and completes with a success but i cannot find the backup file in the ftp directory. wcs backup to ftp folder is fine.is a there a way of doing a manual backup the location appliance what logs can i check to see whether the backup is taking place or not?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Buffalo WHR-G300N router & I am having probs with assigning a static address to a nas device.I have set up the static ip address i want to use in the nas When I look at the dhcp leases in the router, the device shows up as having an automatic assignment with a different ip address to the one set in the nas.If I manually assign the ip address which I want to use, or, if I edit the automatically assigned entry, the old one stays as an automatic assignment. This means that I then have 2 ip addresses for 1 mac address. When I try to access the nas, with only the automatically assigned address present in the router settings, I can still access it using the ip address I have manually assigned to the nas, even though the manual ip does not show in the router. How can I delete the automatically assigned dhcp lease & just keep my static one??
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having this problem with my Belkin router since day 1 when i got it.( not new, got from buddy's place) It's Belkin HI Speed Wifi G router, and what's really frustrating is, everytime i connect to it, I need to manually change the DNS address and switch between 4.2.2.2 & 4.2.2.4 in order to get internet access! Sometimes it even cuts off the internet during a session, without me even disconnecting from the wifi network, where I would again need to switch back and forth to the 2 or 4 ending!

I have a very special usecase with migrating devices from LMSv2.6 to v4.1 using DCR bulk import that was maintained manualy, not by discovering. The special thing is each device has its own SNMP-community and its about 1500 devices.RME discovery works fine, but I get the devices not discovered by DCR (CSDiscovery), because I need a minimal DCR discovery configration containing Seed and SNMP-settings. So I activated DCR as seed, but cant skip SNMP settings without an entry. But in this case I would need 1500 SNMP-lines that would be very unhandy. is in CSDiscovery-Settings a possibility to can leave SNMP settings untouched so it takes the credentials from the DCR, to can start DCR discovery?
